Thermostat Replacement | 3geez Honda Accord 

In today's video, we go back to a how-to format.
Things to keep in mind, importantly:
The drain in the radiator can be stuck, dont force it. If it's stuck, you can take the lower hose off, but it's gonna be a bit messier.
The bleeder also likes to stick, so again, don't force it.. Also, CLOSE IT BEFORE YOU START THE CAR, or it will make a coolant fountain..
The little wobbly thing between the nubs on the gasket, on the thermostat, goes up, on any application. Honda made the nubs and notches so you have no choice, but a lot of vehicles have a flat gasket, so keep in mind that it needs to be on top no matter the car.
The reason i had to do this, is that the thermostat exploded (yes, exploded) in the beige Accord on my first long haul of the season (also the last..) and we had to think fast and cut the actual thermostat part out of it, so that we could use the ring that the gasket goes onto, to seal.
Personally i've never seen such a failure... but i suppose it's a side-effect of sitting so long.
A bolt broke in the process, aswell, but thankfully Charles is well equipped, and it wasnt a big deal because of that.

This was not quite as extensive as the transmission replacement..but soon ill have to actually do the timing belt, the rack and pinion, the oil pump, the oil pan and gasket, and more... so there's lots to come.
