Can be pretty addictive to keep pulling your phone out and checking temp when you should be working :) So long as you bring some meat into work I don't think anyone will mind though! Cheers!
you cant see all temps overlayed on one graph? having the graphs in the list view might work on something as big as an ipad but on a phone I imagine they would be to small to make out details. also, can you mute the device while still having alarms alert you on your phone? If cooking overnight i would hate to wake the neighbor when the temp goes out of range.
i finally purchased the signals. the answers to my questions are yes, you can have all temps displayed in one graph and yes, you can mute the device while having alerts on your phone. however the alerts on your phone is by far the biggest weak spot of this whole thing. i have a galaxy s10 and when the phone is locked and i get an alert my phone will freeze up for 5-15 minutes locking me out. its only after a lot of trying different things im able to unlock my phone and get into it. furthermore the alerts are inconsistent at best.
Hey, sorry we missed your original question and thanks for coming back and answering it yourself so folks get the answer! That's really weird about your phone freezing up, never happened when I tested on either a Pixel 2 or One Plus phone. Might be worth checking in with ThermoWorks and see if they have had anyone else get this problem and any potential solutions. Thanks again.
I have 2 Smoke and 1 Signals. The two older and one newer one works just fine. The problem is with Thermoworks pro-series probes. I have 8 Thermoworks pro-series probes and 5 of them have developed pitting on the barrel. When I called Thermoworks up, they said, "Too bad, the warranty is 6 months; you are out of luck." I have 6 other probes with other temp manufacture units. These other probes have been in use for over 5 years and NONE OF THOSE PROBES have any pitting. Just beware that Thermoworks pro-series probes are made of substandard materials.
