Imagine YUGI vs JOEY But With Real Yu-Gi-Oh Decks! 

Yo, I actually just picked up this box today, I only ever played yu gi oh once with a friend 20 years ago using the starter decks and wanted to get back into yugioh after seeing your Rare Hunters series. I was searching your channels for any videos of you using it to duel. I got sad when I couldn't find any, tried searching again just now and BAM! Thanks a lot for this one guys, can't wait for the next one!

Like to see the O.G starter decks against these legendary decks to see how they hold up to each other.

FYI you technically couldn’t use red-eyes fusion with archfiend of lightning from the deck because the gemini’s are considered effect monsters while in the deck and black skull requires a normal monster. So it only works if lightning is on the field as a normal or something like dragons mirror to fusion from the grave

U should try making a deck out of diffrent series like Gx, Zexal, Arc-v and more

Rare Hunter Summons Exodia

So in other words, they're very accurate to their anime decks~ An amalgamation of random cards with the tiniest hint of a strategy in there somewhere

As someone who has dueled with these quite a bit among friends, once you know the deck, it's really cool how you can "work" towards certain strategies depending on your draws. All decks have several outs and "boss" conditions (only exodia(s) are a WIN condition, but dealing with Obliterate, Flare Metal or Mausoleum Of White spam IS possible)

@@JohnnyFish971 True, if you focus on the Red-Eyes Xyz aspect of it, but there are cards in that deck that just don't synergize, and disrupt the overall goal. But still it's fun to mess around with

@@nicholasdaniel2778I think they're like any other structure deck where you really need 3 copies to make the deck's goal truly viable. Add the promo cards, drop the filler, and triple up on what's important and Yugi's deck is a solid Spellcaster deck with an Exodia wincon. Joey's deck has the worst overall synergy, but could be a decent Red-Eyes deck with some Gemini backup support. Kaiba's is just a good Blue-Eyes deck with the end goal of getting Azur Eyes out.

Trust me. Most of these cards were useless in 'retro' situations.

​@@rogerrabbit132 Wrong. Red-Eyes Fusion is telling you to use the specific Red-Eyes monster that's listed on what you're summoning with it. It's not replacing anything. This means when you use REF you must the Red-Eyes monster listed as fusion material (which, for Archfiend Black Skull Dragon is 1 "Red-Eyes" Normal Monster) but it doesn't remove the other conditions. This is the same reason you run REBD and Dark Magician as garnets to use the Verte engine for Dragoon. Theoretically there are Red-Eyes effect dragons to meet both conditions of Dragoon and REF, but because it's not specified on Dragoon that way, you MUST use REBD itself and the other material is simply Dark Magician. It's true that the non-Red-Eyes materials can theoretically be replaced by any cards that might be capable of filling their role, but in this case he needed a Normal Archfiend. Which means summoning Red-Eyes Archfiend of Lightning because Gemini monsters are only treated as Normal Monsters on the field or in the Graveyard. *"Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster that lists a "Red-Eyes" monster as material from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand, Deck, or field as Fusion Material"* ...and.. *"Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster that lists a "Red-Eyes" monster as material from your Extra Deck, using only a "Red-Eyes" monster from your hand, Deck, or field as Fusion Material"* ...are not the same effect and the latter one is not the one written on REF, no matter how much you'd like it to be.

⁠@@rogerrabbit132he’s right you can’t summon archfiend dragon. Red eyes archfiend is only an normal monster on field or gy. So red eyes fusion only works when it s on the field. You can try it on duel links or MD if you don’t believe me

@@RunicSigilsyou typed a lot of incorrect explaining for being wrong. Archfiend Black Skull Dragon’s material is a ‘Level 6 “Archfiend” *Normal* Monster’. Red-Eyes Archfiend of Lightning is only considered a Normal monster on field or GY so it can’t be sent from the deck for REF because it’s an effect monster while in the deck or hand.

He missplayed twice actually. You can't used red eyes spirit to summon Archfiend blackskull dragon because it's not a red eyes monster.

@@RunicSigils As a Red-Eyes duelist, I can say you are completely wrong and Alec misplayed twice. Red-Eyes Archfiend of Lightning is only a normal monster in the graveyard or on the field. Therefore, it can't be used by Red-Eyes Fusion while in the deck, hand, or after being summoned while on the field. Red Eyes Spirit can't be used to summon Archfiend Black Skull Dragon from the graveyard either as it's not a Red-Eyes after leaving the field.

I saw that play too and I had to stop and rethink about what Alec did and reference both my duels on EDOpro and Master duel. If it was in tournament setting, he would have been called out for it.

Ok, so Im not crazy. I was sure that couldnt happen. Its also why I run summon skull instead of red eyes archfiend.

There it is, the comment I was looking for. Man, Geminis being bad is one thing, but it’s gets much worse because REF, re-eyes archfiend, and Archfiend Black Skull actively work against each other. The fusion needs vanillas, Archfiend isn’t a vanilla unless it’s on the field, and if you get him there too bad- ReF doesn’t work because you summoned a monster. With that said, I’d still rather play with my stupid Geminis than Dragoon pass. But that’s just me. Also Red-eyes spirit can’t revive Archfiend Black skull cause it’s not a red-eyes.

@@asnwolf4507 Got to use Red Eyes darkness metal to revive Archfiend Black Skull lol. (And not even return of dragon lords since he's lol 9). I tried using dragon's mirror to make ABS but then you're getting rid of the vanillas in grave. Unfortunately he's a turn 3 or later finisher but that's too slow in today's game.

Also just noticed at 8:04, I don't think he should be able to summon Archfiend Black Skull Dragon, at least not using Red Eyes Archfiend of Lightning unless it was on the field or in the graveyard because Archfiend Black Skull Dragon requires 1 level 6 normal monster and 1 Red Eyes normal monster and Red Eyes Archfiend of Lightning is only a normal monster while face up on the field or in the graveyard

Alec actually cheated via Red-Eyes Spirit, Archfiend Black Skull Dragon had its original name back in the graveyard and wasn’t treated as Red-Eyes Black Dragon anymore and since the trap Red-Eyes Spirit says the monster HAS TO BE A RED-EYES MONSTER it couldn’t be summoned.

​@@jetnova16 a bit late to this but also he shouldn't have ever been able to summon that fusion in the first place since it needs a red eyes and a level 6 or higher archfiend normal monster and the one he used was an effect in the deck since Gemini monsters are only normal monsters on the field and graveyard

Weirdly enough, they are kind of balanced between themselves.
