after rewatching i noticed a few little mistakes in the video, so i apologize for that! this is my first LONG video (all my videos are long) but i'll definitely work on it as i continue to make new content! also.. if you're reading this. we're getting super close to 2,000 subscribers - WHICH IS INSANE! what should we do to celebrate???
Ocarina of Time was released when i was 13 and up until that point i had only played mario and never applied myself to videogames. I remember playing it over a winter break from school and i was hooked. I became a gamer. Suddenly this whole entire hobby became my number one passion. And the rest is history.
Top 10 games that truly changed my life forever: 1. Pac-Man World (PS1) 2. Crash Bandicoot Trilogy (PS1) 3. Spyro The Dragon Trilogy (PS1) 4. Halo 3 (Xbox 360) 5. Simpsons: Hit & Run (PS2) 6. Grand Theft Auto IV (PS3) 7. Mafia II (PS3) 8. Grand Theft Auto V (PS3/PS4/PS5) 9. Dragon Ball Z Kakarot (PS4) 10. Red Dead Redemption II (PS4)
Love The Sims 4, been playing it for years off and on , so easy to get adicted(and to get sick of it), I want that the sims video u mentioned. also played a lot of GTA V for years, the most fun I ever had on a online mode, hope GTA VI Online Mode is as fun to play. great video, keep up the good work!!!
It is so cool to hear someone talk about video games so passionately and take them so seriously. I have almost no friends who I feel I can talk about video games with, and games are also a big part of who I am. They are extremely important to me, as dumb as that sounds. Games bring out strong emotions, and can be a place to express creativity in a safe space! I can't make music, or draw, or do 3D art... But I like playing games that allow me to use that desire to build or make something. Also, although you probably have, you should play Fable 2. My favorite Fable game. A little disappointed that you said Fable 3 😂😂😂
i don't think thats dumb at all, video games hold memories, nostalgia, beautiful stories, and characters we can relate to in different ways. they're accessible and ways to live different lives - its very meaningful and i think you're justified for feeling that way! and i'll definitely get my hands on fable 2, i just dont know for what to play it on!
@@hannahxsolo I played through 1, 2 and 3 on an Xbox Series X. Probably a good console to get if you want to play the new Fable. All 4 games on Gamepass 😁
This was such a perfect video idea I LOVE the long format and hearing people talk about things that they are passionate about you absolutely crushed it!!! I could talk for DAYS about all the games that have changed my life but just a few off the top of my head are Halo 3, Guitar hero 3, battlefront 2, RDR2, Val, Minecraft, Bo2., BOTW...okay maybe more than a few LMAO
played a lot of games, but there is only one series, that got me so emotional attached, that it left a void with me that i couldn't fill all those years. And that's the Mass Effect Trilogy!
I had the same exact experience with black ops 2 I was in middle school and it was the first call of duty I got on launch day🔥! I would walk to the gas station and get mtn dew and Cheetos then play the game 🔥😂
It's really cool seeing how there was some cross over. We are both the same age (for now) so growing up in a similar time its also amazing to see how many differences their are in our tastes. This is one of those topics I absolutely love to discuss. Theres so many good memories looking back at just super casual couch gaming with my brother. Its great to see how gaming shapes people and really has such an impact on their outlook on the world. Hopefully great games keep coming out, things like the new Fable are so promising. Its wild how many people I have met through gaming, including those in this community. Also this video was very well made and I loved all the lil silly bits you left in.
MW3 is fire 🔥 that campaign after replaying the trilogy i think mw3 had the best campaign out of all 3. I used to think MW2 had the best campaign. But mw2 still my favorite in multiplayer, though
Crushed it as always. The Last Of Us 1 and 2 are the reason I even stream so that's changed my life. That and Black Ops 2 also for the zombies with Mob Of The Dead. Fire game
Found your channel a few weeks ago and i've watched most if not all your videos already, you make amazing videos Hannah! This video took me down memory lane as well omg, i'm a bit older but so many of the games i've played (much like yourself) helped shape who i am too, such fond memories In no particular order: Old School Runescape, Maplestory, Flyff, Tera (MMO wise) Counter Strike, AVA, Soldier Front, GunZ etc To Modern Warfare 2, Gears of War 1/2, DBZ Budokai 3, Pokemon Fire Red/Soul Silver/Platinum Dark Souls (OG) and my love for From Software games, list goes on and on, Silent Hill 2/3, such fond memories of playing these games with friends on Skype! Stellar video Hannah, keep up the phenomenal work :D
thank you so so much!!!! i have some very good memories playing old school runescape on my friend's family PC and specifically fishing. did i know what was going on? no. but did i have a great time? always.
@@hannahxsolo Likewise, when i was going around as a kid catching random fish, mining ore, casting magic spells, it all captured a sense of adventure despite not knowing what was happening either lol Happy to hear you had a wonderful experience as well!
great list of games, enjoying your content for the past month. keep it up! disciples 2 on pc was a life changing game for me back then, metal gear as well
Such a great video Hannah! And an amazing list! I love so many of these games it’s crazy. Some of the video games that actually changed me? I remember my older cousin who I sort of idolized playing Starcraft, when my parents got our first PC I begged for that game. Have loved the franchise more than anything since. It really was a foundation for my love for RTS games. More recently Slay the Spire has just really shaped my entertainment. I’ve convinced friends to play, watch a ton of gameplay, have a mobile version so I can just play it while at appointments and such. It’s an obsession lol.
thank you morkim!! i've heard so many good things about starcraft! it definitely seems like a very impactful and meaningful game! slay the spire also looks really interesting! i love this for you!!
The 10 games that instantly came to mind for me when thinking of games that impacted me the most throughout my life are: 1. Pokemon Emerald 2. Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim 3. Guitar Hero 2 4. Luigi’s Mansion 5. Elden Ring 6. Civilization VI 7. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas 8. Dante’s Inferno 9. Stardew Valley 10. Darkest Dungeon
those games are all amazing (although some i havent played) but civilization is an amazing franchise, and luigi's mansion is a game series i want to try so badly!!
I LOVEDDD this video! Awesome topic and it was packed with so many great stories! MW2-Black Ops 2 was a truly special time. And I love that you had a Sims Tumblr, what a cool idea and a throwback to that era. I love hearing about anything creative that someone’s passionate about so I definitely vote for a stand-alone Sims video
THANK YOU!!! i'll get cooking on that sims video asap. MW2 - BO2 not only had amazing campaign missions but iconic game modes, maps, and communities. truly doesn't hit like that anymore.
Wow I haven't heard Pokemon Ranger in FOREVER, I remember absolutely loving that game because it was so different from the mainline games. And completely forgot about My Sims too, this entire video was a huge nostalgic blast from the past and I love the long format and giving each video game enough time to really show their strong points and the things you liked about each of them. Brought back a ton of nice memories, perfect video concept, I love it!
Happy Belated Birthday!! 🥳 I hope it was a great one :D This was a very fun idea for a video and you had some banger picks 😎🔥 Plus, it’s always just cool to see what games had the greatest impact on people :,)
I would in fact love to see a video on the Sims family drama, as I do in fact live for the tea😂😂 Here's a couple games that have changed my life: GTA 5 Mafia: Definitive Edition Runescape The History Channel: Civil War - A Nation Divided on the PS2 Call of Duty World at War Call of Duty WWII Conflict: Vietnam (I legitimately still have flashbacks to this game. Not even joking. Vietnam changes a man) Forza Horizon 4 Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood Minecraft Then there are games I've never played, but as a frequent viewer of these games, they have genuinely changed the very fabric of my brain: Phasmophobia, Cities: Skylines 1 & 2, We Happy Few, The Mortuary Assistant, & BeamNG Drive. All of these games have genuinely changed me in some kind of way. Specifically, Mafia: Definitive Edition. When that edition came out, I begged my mom to get it for me for Christmas, and by golly she did. I played that game 24/7 just driving around & playing old Jazz music. It was such a wonderful time. Since then, I've lost the actual game itself, but I still have the case, and I still have a poster hanging in my room that came with the game. If I had to guess, that game is probably what propelled me into the gaming sphere. Also, extremely groovy video!! Love, love, love this kind of sit-down content!!!
I actually have not played any of the games u listed lol but i am searching for a used ps4 so i can play Eldin Ring and many others I missed. I recently just got back into gaming. Before buying the switch in 2022 my last console owned was a SNES 😂
from the top of my head, these are the games that I think are most important in my life: Super Mario Land 2 (1994) first game ever, on Game Boy Duke Nukem 3D (1997) most popular PC game back in the day ISS (later known as pro evolution soccer) 1999 I played football/soccer games for the next 20 years because of this game Guitar Hero - I learned so much about music through this game GTA Vice City - my fav of all Pokemon Red - fell in love in Pokemon back in 1998/99 still love them to day well, I guess that's about it. there are many amazing games that I played over the past 30 years, but these were my first in genres and they have influenced my style the most.
if i had to narrow it down to just 3 games that changed my life, i think it would have to be Bioshock Infinite, Halo 2, and Skyrim. Bioshock Infinite was one of the first games i played that made me stop and have to emotionally process what I just experienced, Halo 2 is the game i like to call my first played it back when i was about 6 years old and have loved halo ever since, and Skyrim because even after 13 years of minimum yearly playthroughs i still catch myself thinking about playing it over again. also, W Achievement Hunters gang rise up!
Here's some of the games that changed my life Dragonball Z Budokai 3, Kingdom Hearts 2, Tekken 2, Unreal Tournament 3, Onimusha, Naruto Ultimate Ninja 1, Final Fantasy 12, Burnout 3, Need for Speed Underground 2, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, GTA Vice City, COD World at War, Cyberpunk 2077, Lego Star Wars, Soulcaibur 1, Virtua fighter, Midnight Club, .hack//G.U Last Recode and tip of the iceberg 😆
yo i have the same counterparts flag! but these are the games that impacted me the most kingdom hearts 2 bioshock mass effect 2 the last of us halo 2 silent hill 2 pokemon emerald fallout new vegas
@@hannahxsolo i recognized it immediately, i see you have good taste i figured you’d have some good picks in there, and absolutely fallout new vegas is so good im excited to see how the show does it
I'm in that camp who prefers Bioshock Infinite compared to Bioshock - even though there are so many who _insist_ that Bioshock is superior. The thing is, there were so many things about the original game that I didn't care for. The endlessly respawning enemies got old. A number of weapons felt clunky and cumbersome to use. The environments felt mazelike and unintuitive to navigate - even WITH the Guide Arrow on. Places like Olympus Heights and Apollo Square felt so similar in structure and design that I had difficulty distinguishing where I even was within the environments. Atlas' (Frank's) voice is just grating on the ears to listen to. The "big twist" is just... eh? You turned out to be mind-controlled and manipulated by Fontaine to kill your dad. That just... never blew my mind as it did other people. The endings suck. Seriously, the "good" ending lasts all of 11 seconds to watch. It felt so unrewarding after going through everything. Fast forward to Infinite and you have better navigation. Weapons that all feel sharp to use. Fantastic voice-acting. Environments that are intuitive to navigate and never feel same-y. Characters, like Elizabeth, who are incredibly likeable. And a twist ending that actually DID impress me - unlike the mind-control nonsense of the first game.
i completely agree! i got stuck on bioshock 1 + 2 multiple times due to some mechanics that just weren't favorable for my gameplay style (which is completely on me) but still i found that bioshock infinite used what the previous games did and shed a new light onto it. elizabeth is amazing and the narrative has so many symbols and memorable moments!
100% agreed that Black Ops 2 was the last good CoD. I played everything from Mw2 to BO2 religiously as a kid. Something about getting Gold/Diamond weapon skins back then just felt so much more meaningful. Newer games get oversaturated by purchasable skins imo. The emblem system was peak in that game even if BO3 had more options. Zombies stood out the most though. The memories of doing the easter eggs with all my friends will stick with me forever for sure. I still launch up the 360 versions of the games every now and then. It's sad that that the Steam versions have RCE exploits and such :/ Was part of the reason you started making that content related to the Quickscoping/Trickshotting scene or other creators?
the zombies back in the day was so so good! all of the maps were amazing! part of the reason i start making content was because i had missed the bo2 multiplayer games so much (before there were exploits and the high influx of hacks) so i was playing a lot of that & forming a group of people who also missed playing multiplayer. i transitioned into bo2 briefly but then decided to check out other games on stream & the rest is history!
@@hannahxsolo Yeah the Zombies maps were top tier, each were good in there own ways but I'm partial to TranZit despite all the fog and how traversing it is x.x That's awesome that the little community you cultivated in BO2 was the gateway to your twitch career. That's a great way to kickstart it for sure. A great game and a good group of people by your side. Also, despite the RCE Exploits on the Steam version I think you can use Plutonium to play BO2 safely today. I haven't personally used it yet but it may be worth giving it a shot in the future :) Thanks for being responsive in the comments also! This is the second time a vid from you has appeared in my recommended. Dropped a sub and am looking forward to future vids :D
The map reworks on Siege are so hit and miss for me. I don't mind maps getting reworked to account for new operators that might break the maps, but I don't like that they redesign them for pro players while ignoring the main playerbase. They do the same with weapon balancing too, and I hate that just as much. I used to play in high Emerald lobbies, and it text/voice chat would always be filled with people complaining about whatever recent map/gun patch that just came out. After a while, it just gets exhausting to play 🥴
its difficult to come back to the game after an extended break just to find they reworked most of the maps you knew and added more - its a learning curve for sure. i still miss bartlett U, but its gone forever
Great video I like your channel a lot we like a few of the same games I see. I’m definitely interested in the sims 4 family lore and I’d love to see a video of it!

Hey, Fable 3 was removed due to its reliance on ‘games for windows live’, it needed it just to function on PC. Original dev team was no longer part of MS (studio closed), so I guess no one was/is available to amend code so it could be relisted. Also probs not worth it MS eyes to spend money on it. Shame reall, would love to see both 2 and 3 make it onto PC. Spent years wishing MS would do a remaster like fable anniversary.
the campaign is really good, i hope GTA VI doesn't get bad reviews because everyone is expecting a fully run online mode right away. i have really high hopes for that campaign.
