Off Road Premium (ORP). The premium package comes with pleather seats and other features the standard Off Road doesn’t have.

Thanks so much! Any 20” dual row light bar should work just as long as it is flat and isn’t curved. The brackets that come with the Body Armor 4x4 bumper allow you to adjust the position quite a bit to accommodate any light bar that is a 20” dual row

Hahah I can relate, it’s always the drive thru wall that gets me

Mines has always had it, it’s still there even at full temp but less noticeable. I always get a bit more paranoid in drive thurs. Some are nosier than others from what I’ve heard

That’s the anti roll back protection feature. Engages your brakes, makes a click sound. Lights will also flash on your dash

Hubs not unlocking all the way ,sometimes after using 4wd my 2018 4 runner does the same thing, i have to switch between 4wd and 2wd sometimes in reverse and they unlock no more clicking!!!

It’s normal, mine does it. I’ve had other vehicles and Toyotas that do it as well. Just the sound from the intake as the throttle body flap first opens and air moves around the blades

Yes I have the same problem I have a 2021 4 runner 40,000 mikes it squeals when backing up it’s sounds like the brake calipers are stuck but they are not

Totally 💯%. Especially when backing up in the driveway right after start

I think it’s strange that the noise went away since it’s normal. They may have replaced it with a newer type pump that doesn’t make as much noise as the factory or stock pump? That’s all I can think of

Usually it’s pretty hard to hear on startup, usually more audible when you turn off. Maybe yours was going bad and was louder

Have Westcott Design installed on my 4runner pro with around 5K miles and currently in the process on trying to find why do slow turns and bumps especially my drive way want to make my car sound creaky. Pain in my neck knowing that I know the dealer probably won’t help due to the aftermarket parts. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I got a new 2023 sr5 4Runner and I hear this noise like a squirt/quick hand break sound from under the dash/steering wheel too. It only happens once I start the engine and start driving off (then it doesn’t happen anymore until the next time I start the engine). Toyota dealership mechanic says he’s never noticed that before (it is quite subtle to notice at first) and isn’t sure what it could be. Is it the same as you?

​@@CCAROmusicyes, same noise. I was told by the Toyota dealer it's doing an ABS check. Some motor under the dash. I didn't hear the noise until I had about 800 miles on the vehicle. People in the 4runner forums mention the noise, also. The noise bugs me. I want to know why it didn't do it when I test drove when it was brand new.

Sounds like a bad lash job on the rr diff. Take it back and if they give you a hard time test drive another 4runner to see if they all do it.

@@Byebye7272 At this point I've visited three Toyota dealers, and they all said it's operating within spec. One dealer replaced my front & back diff fluid and it's still making the same noise. I'm just going to live with it.

@@bohan9957 that’s crazy. Mine sounds like how u explained it and kinda sounds like if I step on the acceleration it’s not shifting sounds forcing the gear. I hve a 2021 4runner 18k miles.

@@Byebye7272 I did test drive a 2023 4Runner Limited and it is also making a slight howl at 65mph to 70mph, although not as loud as mine. It's probably just the characteristic of the vehicle. The drivetrain has plenty of warranty so I'm not too worried. Also wanted to mention, the GX 460 that I test drove was completely silent at all speeds. I believe both the GX and 4Runner Limited share the same differential and transfer case. The GX has more insulation and sound deadening, which probably explains why. I'm now beginning to think a used GX is a better deal than a new 4Runner.

What year and how many miles on your Tacoma?

@@T4Rgarage 2015 4runner. 88k miles. I heard the 1GRFE engine whine is super common tho. Even brand new out of the dealership 4Runners have that whining sound. Kinda sounds like a toned down supercharger

@@4runner1grfe Ah I gotcha, I assumed your username was a play on Tacos/Tacomas. Mine has light a whining sound mostly on acceleration. I assume mine is normal. I bought it from the dealer, who should have covered any issues as it was still under warranty. If its very pronounced I might have it checked out but I am pretty sure it's normal. @@T4Rgarage haha never put 2 and 2 together about the taco thing. Yea! That video you linked is the exact sound. There are some purist who have attempted to change out the timing chain guides and oil pumps, idler pulleys. Some have succeeded but many say the sound remains. I’ll chalk it off as normal also. Thanks again for your videos, especially the lasfit and drive shaft lubing ones. Please upload any repair or maintenance videos you do also!
