I had scabs falling off around day 3 with parts of follicles attached. I was afraid the grafts had dried up too quickly. My doctor advised me to spray saline 4 -5x a day and some say every 30 mins, every hour or every 2 hours. I'm hoping it's not too soon for the scabbing to fall off.
I know you probably wont see this comment since this is an old video, but I have the scab canals rn (day 10) and i asked my surgeon about gently rubbing them off but they told me to not touch them until atleast day 14, would you also say its fine to wait until day 14 to start rubbing the scabs off?
Hey thanks man. Its just been 5 days after the hair transplant and I was also observing canals on my scalp. I was worried if my grafts had been washed out by continues spraying of NS. Thanks for the info.
Hello , I would like to ask if there is a problem that I´ve removed scabs with fingernails - i was gentle and I removed them all , but there were some hairs too --around 1/3 from all transplanted. It was 15th day after hair transplant. I am only worried if that scabs removing could have some negative effect on transplanted hairs - specially hair roots.
Me too i was afraid that's i have lost some grafts, my scalp looking like rivers haaa know after 21 days ago my hair shedding out is that normal and when I can see my hair comeback to regrow.thank you meethak from iraq.
Hey there! I have a question! ? So my scabs started falling out around the 5th day, around the 7-8th day I was already dam there 90 % scab free with full set of hairs, it to early normal?
Hi - thanks for sharing valuable information over the channel and website. One quick question - I didn't do a good job in cleaning my scabs which was identified in my 3 month follow up with the doctor. I observed canal-like things over my scalp. After that, I cleaned my scabs where I saw a lot of hair coming out. I am curious how that will affect my transplant results. Did my untimely clean up of scabs would have damaged my roots, or will it delay my results, if yes by how much? I am at 5 months now but don't see a good density yet
I had the exact same issue. I couldn’t help but pick at the scabs for hours and days and removed a lot of them, all with hair attached. Unless it bleeds a lot, the graft wasn’t removed. However, I still wonder if any damage was done to the grafts. They just don’t seem to grow in as thick as I would expect. I started picking them out on day 3.
Thanks for posting it mate. I had my FUE done 7 days ago . Whilst everything else is settling well, i have started noticing this occasional sensation as if water or liquid is dripping or rolling down on the scalp. tried searching on net but didn't find anything on it. Did you experience any such thing? If so when did it go away. Thanks
I had this after a few days, like oil dripping down my head but there was nothing there lol A couple of days later I went back to normal. Don’t stress 😊
@@DTJ2024 thanks mate. Yeah it actually has gone. I think out was may be the residual water that they inject that didn't bleed out and also causes swelling. I started drinking a lot of water so that it is expelled through urine. Its called oedema.
I had that too. my guess is that it has to do with the skin healing process: cicatrization, because it was a bit before the canals started to noticeably form.
I washed my hair day 3, noticed hairs in my palm when tapping the shampoo. Day 3 is too soon tho right? Also saw abit gunk almost looked like a follicle (jelly like)
I developed those white "canals" through the hairline after post op day 4... will hair grow through these tiny white lines when its all said and done ?

I too have these canals that are white, not like my natural scalp color. I searched all around forums and heard numerous explainations. From dried shampoo to scratching in your sleep. Still a bit worried.
I’m 8 days post and there’s like a layer of gunk looking around the recipient area. My doctor says do not touch area for 28 days. I wash with spray bottles. Is that build up normal?
@mubashermubz it's been two weeks of my transplant. Have many ridges/canals on my head. Is it normal? Also, crust is falling with some hair too, is it okay? I am worried about the ridges and falling hair (with crust).
anant sharma Yes, good point. However, in my experience shedding only occurred with my hairline. I had no swelling in my midscalp or crown. That said, swelling is absolutely normal.
Question... I am also having these cracks on day 6, is this thing reversible? I read that there are 2 reasons: A) dehydration B) salt intake C) inadequate washing

The canals are just the scab stretching your skin when it dries up and harden on your head. Your skin will go back to normal once the scab is gone in a couple of days. I had two cracks when I did my transplant and it was scary but nothing to worry since they went away fairly quickly after the scab was gone.
i had scabs and the canals he mentioned. than when the scabs fell of there were canals that looked bald meaning like there was no grafts placed in that area where the canals formed. does that mean hair won’t grow in those areas? my HT was 20 days ago,? has anyone experienced this before…
So will my hair grow on the places where these cracks are ? Please answer, i am on day 6 and i have few cracks so i am little bit worried if i will have hair on those places

The graft is actually very strong after 72hrs.... If there is shedding with blood then be worried. If not, you’re ok 👌🏻 Try not to stress and eat lots of protein 😊
Hair Transplant Network I have been using clinique charcoal face wash which costs 22.00 dollars for years. My forehead and my skin is always taken cared of, but the pimples appeared 2 weeks after transplant. Yes on my forehead not scalp
The pimples are super annoying, I've got a habit of trying to pop pimples everytime they'd appear on my face so its super difficult to leave them be on my head
Can someone please help me? its my 10th day of FUT transplant , i was just removing the Crust from my head through my nails , and i saw some of my transplant hairs come out with crust. am now so worried as maybe i have losted many of my grafts. please
@@HairTransplantNetworkhi thank for the reply on google says after 7 days it be ok to wear. I work in factory and they let me wear a cap when my hairs grown after 6 months I then I don’t need to wear it. If yes then I can wear a beanie hat ? It’s silky I don’t think cotton be ok.

I was (am?) very worried about it, since the clinic didn't put this posible effect in the FAQ's they gave me after procedure. And even though, I thought I knew all about it (hair transplant), didn't hear about this canals before. I am in day ten, after procedure, and these canals came out after day 6 o 7 aprox. (right after a few days after I started to do the washing). The problem is that the canals looks "smooth" with no hair at all, just like your example in the video. So I am very afraid of loosing grafts! Especially, because like I said they started to appear in day 6/7 not day 30!. In that case I could think, "i'm safe" grafts are locked, but day 6/7, I say mmmm wtf. If you could explain a little bit more about why this is happening and if this is normal, It would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
Someone please help me. I’m on my 20th day post operation and I’ve gotten a lot of white stuff on my scalp, I even got some on my hand today. Please tell me if this is normal and what this is?
Hair Transplant Network no sir all my scabs were blackish and I scrubbed them off after two weeks. These formed 3 to 4 days afterwards. I had a chat with my doctor today and he said it’s dandruff and recommended me a Konaz shampoo to apply twice a week. Please can you confirm if this is the correct way to go?
