He had a "brief amateur boxing career" according to most sources. I competed in amateur tournaments throughout the country and fought pro rules Muay Thai in Thailand, so YOU try again. Cus was in his 40's when he started working with Floyd Patterson, and in his 60's when he began working with Tyson. I'm 32 years old, and run classes out of Beacon MMA in Cherry Hill, in addition to "training kids on RU-vid." I've dedicated my life to this, and haven't lost my focus since I was 9 years old. I've got a ways to go yet, but I've got plenty of monsters in the making. Hate all you want; I appreciate the motivation. I bet Cus had haters just like you, too. "Facts."
@@Qwishes most professional fighters fight about 4-5 times a year. That’s only 5 days of 365 days in year. The other days are spent in the gym learning, training, and getting better. Don’t judge someone based off only 1% of what they do in year. I believe the other 99% is way more important
Many people underestimate the importance of language in any practice of teaching. It's like they forget what it was like learning in the first place. Thanks for sharing and I hope you go far in all your endeavors
Dude, every single time i watch your videos or shorts, i get excited and want to start hitting my punching bag. I think you have the best explanations and examples!!! Awesome
I never thought of it like that. As someone who grew up on a farm in the islands 🏝️ now I can add this muscle memory to the punching bag. Blessings 💯💯💯
I really appreciate all your work over the years. You're a hell of a teacher- you have a way of really breaking down the mechanics of certain techniques in a way that's tangible.
Im 17 As an amateur boxer your videos helped me get my first stoppage victory in my fourth fight thx to utilising body shots since I usually just went to the head thinking that hurt more then I saw some of your videos and got a left hook liver shot stoppage in the 2nd round Thx bro and keep up the good work
After seeing this video I will never underestimate a skinny guy again wow. Don't look like you work out at all but after seeing you throw a punch it changes everything...very inspiring
Where did the gate come from? Fight tips has been providing great advice for years now. Shane has had plenty of fights, not pto sure but his technique is textbook and he has tons of knowledge and experience that he’s trying to pass on. Keyboard warriors have been at a high lately. Keep grinding man 💪
