i can't be the only one who hears the double kicks as a lil off...i feel like they're not quantized but i actually kinda like the vibe it gives so i can't complain lmao
True. They are not quantized. I personally think that not everything has to be quantized. There are some beats that sound better with a kick a little off beat, and there are some that don't sound good like that. It'll depend on the producer's taste and style.
I was watching a tutorial on how to build a keyboard tray and the beat in the background was awful, the hats were only on one note and the kick was not only not quantized, but were a solid second off time. QUANTIZE YO DRUMS GUYS 🔥
Panning drums left and right is something I do to mimic how a real drummer plays the drums, where not every instrument is heard in the centre of the mix but slightly to the left or the right
Ed Talenti your the best man! thank you for helping me on the begining of my music journey. my beats sound not good at all right now but i hope that i can learn from my mistakes and become a producer like you!
Tbh I never tune my drums with a tuner but I use my ears. Drums don’t make “notes”, but just a noise that usually has a predominant harmonic frequency that we perceive as a note. All tuners have a really hard time deciding which note to land on with drums and often it’s not precise or even correct at all 👍
If you hit a real bass drum, the skin doesn't vibrate at a constant frequency or pitch. The characteristic "Dooooooo" sound after the initial transient comes from the low frequency oscillations gradually losing energy and slowing down, which is tantamount to a drop in pitch. So while a tuner might detect that the first few wobbles of the wave form are at the frequency of one pitch, the last few sine waves will be lower. 808 sub kicks can be different because they are synthetic and can sustain/loop at a particular tuned frequency that isn't possible with a real drum. Hence if the tuner can't find a fixed pitch (because it's literally changing) you have to use your ears to tell if it's mostly in tune with your song, or needs transposing.
cymatics packs arent that good tho... like there are good melodies in it but there lots of other (free) packs that have alot better drum sounds. for every starting producers dont buy things from cymatics it cost way to much just go to reddit and get some nice packs there. for melodies buy omnisphere (or crack it idc) get a good piano and learn your DAW i wished someone had told me this when i started. Edtalenti makes great videos tho ! learned alot from him big SO
You are the best artist🎧 I have ever seen👀, listened👂 and learned🎼📕. You make lots of video tutorials📹 that help me a lot❤❤❤. Thanks for being one the artist🎵 that makes🔥👌 awesome videos.❤
Hey man your videos are really helping me. Thanks a lot. I got my akai mpk mini mk3 a month ago and I'm just starting to use mpc beats (software). Have you tried it? What do you think? Is it worth to learn this software or you think it's better to spend some 💸 (that I don't have). right away and get FL or Ableton. Keep rocking man 🙌🏽 peace
@@EdTalenti Che spettacolo! Ci vorrei andare con la mia ragazza, ma non sappiamo come trasferirci in America, ora siamo ad' Amsterdam davvero stupenda sopratutto sotto il punto di vista musicale :D
Aweome job bro! Also, Love Bologna. Was there on tour in April. Lost our car in the medival streets for 2 days haha oh man. It's funny now. Great tutorial tho. Thanks so much!
I’d gotta say that that Vlog style production videos is amazing. I’m considering implementing that into my workflow as I make new videos. Keep working hard. You’re doing awesome.
Thanks man! My favorite part of watching video of artists in the studio or producers working has always been the “behind the scenes”, regular life type stuff. That made me wanna include that same vibe on my videos and I wanna get better at it overtime!
EdTalenti yeah. I’ll give it a shot. I’m currently producing cover songs and originals, but I’m really wanting to get into beat making more and I believe this is a great way to begin.
@@miguelsandremusic oh of course. Thanks man. I just say how i feel about it and what other people might feel. But other might like it ! However good luck ! :)
