The megido ark suck so bad. Due to its skill dmg increase requirements, i turn satan into a support with full drain resistances. I rely on his innate skill adversary for dmg instead. He’s more useful that way🤣
@@awtz27gamer44 yeah his unique definitely useless for a superboss. If you on pc you can modify the power to made that skill playable but outside of PC that skill basically useless
Alternatively, couldn't we simply replace Megido Ark with Freikugal? This way you don't have to radically change the build and you have a single, more powerful Almighty move.
@@zadkal8873 his passive scale with Magic meanwhile freikugel is a str base attack. So you need to double dip if you want to make it stronger. That's why many people either just go with megidolaon or full support agro
Probably not very differently tbh. Smt players just search for that one guaranteed build. And will never swap unless Atlus forces a new strategy typically.
I actually use a Support Build for Samael for the Qaditsu Girls because of his passive he can help Eisheth out with her Damage if I can’t charm through Namaah I Poison through Samael Eisheth mains stand up!
I tried using Onyankopon and absolutely hated him; as a buffer/debuffer, or even a healer, he is worse than other options, and if you are relying on him for taunt then he needs to be in your party every 3-6 turns depending on build. So I just removed him and exchanged 1 skill slot on my MC for a much better demon in my party.

Regarding Samael, something weird happened to me while trying to use his skill against hp sponges in Godborn, namely Oni. The poison connected the first 5 times or so but stopped working all of a sudden from later on, I did it 20+ times wasting all my sp items and no luck despite Loa. Was the most painfully slow fight I had in all my playtime. Not sure if I can keep playing Godborn anymore, still 300 glory away from transcendence😢
That's not something unique to Samael's poison, but for status ailments in general. Once you've applied a status ailment, the chance of applying it again is drastically reduced in SMT5V.
Queens Decree has been doing wonders for me. Surprised to hear you suggesting to replace it. It's basically a free press turn due to how often it crits with Murderous Glee. I guess it's not as useful on Godborn difficulty?
It's fine on normal difficulty -- roughly a 90% chance for 1 hit to crit with both glees -- but falls off on hard mode and especially on Godborn. It also has the downside of being horrible for damage outside of ST situations due to the hits being random. I value the consolidated damage and guaranteed press-turn of using something else over Decree.
I Only use 3 demons with moonlight+ikuyumi crit mag mc. Yoko, lahmu, sakuya. Beat all the contents except lv999 virtual which I didnt play. I feel I should use more demons at the end game but didnt.
Yoko is an absolute monster in this game. I run a similar setup except Lakshmi instead of Lahmu ( yeah he's pretty good too) Lakshmi 's innate skill is if the Ally's attack is at +2, all skills, even magic become critical hits.
I did have her in my stock at one point but outside of using their unique magatsuhi for the sake of seeing it, I never used it because there was always something better to be using, so I removed her for more space.
Kannabi Veil is fantastic on Godborn, but when using the dodge tank build you don't really have the time to use it since at least one MC action every turn is taken up by Luminescent Mirage. If you play any other MC build besides dodge tank, I would definitely include Kannabi Veil.
I am at the end of CoV hard mode, and picked a bunch of high level demons to bring up to 99. I'm getting worked by all 3 super bosses. Shiva, Satan and demi fiend. I looked everywhere but I have not unlocked masakado or Nuwa. Do I need to go run CoC on new game plus to get them?
You can also unlock Nuwa on your first CoV run if you go talk to a Bethel researcher once you meet him in Taito, after that you go to Jouin high school to get some dialogue with Yakumo, then go to Jozoji temple where you'll get a cutscene. Nuwa should unlock from there as she did for me. The only shame about this one is that it is missable and I'm not sure when it becomes unavailable in the run (My guess would be possibly after going into the empyrean or before the final boss).
Does lucifer's innate skill outright give everyone pierce on their physical or elemental attacks or is there some limiter? Also what about zeus? He seems mostly unchanged, and his innate skill looks strong.
Lucifer's innate skill is slightly mistranslated; it doesn't give pierce to everything, only the normal attack command. Zeus is strong, but the one thing to remember about his innate skill is that the crit rate he gets from it gets multiplied by his base crit chance since he doesn't have a skill with innate crit on it, unless you give him one.
Can I ask how do you fuse Beelzebub? I realized that to fuse Beelzebub, you require Baal which requires Mithras. However, I don't seem to be able to fuse Mithras. I'm on my first playthrough in canon of vengeance story line, currently at the empyrean. From my understanding, you need to complete Amon's quest line to unlock Mithras. Is that quest doable in canon of vengeance? If it is, have I already missed it? How far back a save do I have to load to be able to unlock it? Edit: Nvm I found out that you have to talk to Amon once before his quest icon shows up.
Great video! May I know if a poison build is any good? I am currently on hard mode and was thinking of building Naamah with toxic spray, poison adapt and master. Noticed that I don't seem to see anybody using poison so was wondering if it's just weak.
Status ailments in general are weak in SMT 5 for many reasons. I only ended up using the poison component against one enemy and even then, despite have Samael's skill having the highest chance to land a status ailment + the enemy being weak to that ailment, it wasn't even close to 100% uptime.
Question, Do you get the trophy "Will of Godborn" if you play NG+ Godborn mode on the Canon of Vengeance story? (I'm asking this because I thought you could only get the trophy by playing godborn mode under Canon of Creation story.....)
Godborn is simply a NG+ mode, just like Newborn and Reborn, it just scales all enemies to level 150 and changes their Magatsuhi turn from Critical to Pierce.
I just learned that there's another demon I never heard of and I'm not sure if you know already she's some kind of goddess called (Inanna) I seen it a few times on RU-vid but I have no idea where to find this particular demon is there any way you could shed some light on this please 🥺 ps she's the best choice for those that like magic only
Everything comes from fusion and essence fusion. For essence fusion, you need the essence of a demon with a passive/skill you want and then use essence fusion to give it to another demon. So long as you're collecting all of the treasure and doing side-quests, you will end up getting most demon's essences throughout the game, but they can also randomly give you their essence upon leveling up. As for your NG+ question, it's really up to you. Newborn is very close to a fresh playthrough in that you keep almost nothing; whereas Reborn keeps almost everything.
@@RozalinGaming oh in CoV is there a new way to get those demon essences easier, because for high almighty pleroma is from metatron in CoC and that's end game CoC.
@@regis7422 I mean, this video is about end-game and Godborn so having easy access to basically everything is assumed. High Almighty Pleroma has normally been available from Metatron and Shiva; end-game fights but both very easy. The other sources are Masakado and Satan, with one being CoC only and the other CoV only.
Null only cost 2 Enemy Press Turns. Reflect and Drain cost all Enemy Press Turns. So Reflect and Drain are actually better than just Null. You can interrupt an entire turn with those
It might be ease of availability, for the most part, I don't think there's any other reason. Like Null Phys is farmable via Ongyo-Ki essences in the Temple of Eternity dungeon, whereas Drain Phys only appears once, on Abdiel second form essence, and repel phys I think also only appears like once per run
@@HyenaFox Well, you can actually obtain all Escence that you want in Godborne. Since all Demons you fusion automatically level up to 150, you only need to spend some Macca and fusion the demon that you want. If you don't obtain the Escence after the LV Up, just load and retry. I do that, you can obtain any Escence easily, just spending some Macca. PD: Null Phys can be obtained by OnGyo-ki and Jonsu Ra, Repel Phys by Fallen Abdiel, and Drain Phys by Nuwa true form.

Long answer: still neither, but the reason is because the pierce effect on Impaler's Animus is useless for Murakumo since Murakumo is an almighty skill and the damage increase from Impaler's is only a 1.3x multiplier, so using that skill is actually a damage loss. Donum Gladi is a 1.5x multiplier so it's also a damage loss, but it can be cast on others, so if you have a support that isn't contributing 50% of a Murakumo's damage, they can use it on the MC. Charge is also not great as it's only a 1.8x multiplier and therefore a damage loss to use outside of 1-shot scenarios.
@@gusguillercalvo7047 Did you do all Demeter's missions? You only need to unlock Baal to fuse Beelzebub. You need to defeat all Tyrants demons to unlock Baal battle. But I'm not sure, maybe that is just a Canon of Creation exclusively thing 😅
Why does nobody use the new pierce abilities, that effect seems so broken, ignoring any resistance? The dmg is lower on them but that pierce effect helped me in a lot of fights to have a demon with drain/null on the boss elements and completely ignore the boss drain/repel/nul/resist on element.
The main reason you don't see the pierce skills being used often is because in almost all situations it is just strictly better to swap to a different demon in order to hit a weakness instead if you can -- you get more damage and more press turns. The example you used in your last post of Gae Bolg is also not a good example as that is a unique skill that has 100% accuracy and crit. Also, small aside from that previous post, Charge is almost completely useless in SMT5V outside of cheese 1-shot strats on Safety; this is because Charge is only a 1.8x multiplier in this game, so using Charge (or Concentrate) results in less damage per turn than simply attacking each turn instead.
That does make sense, thanks for claryfing! I generally use charge on first turn as I rarely have the +2 buffs, need to optimize my members a bit... Newer to SMT playstile trying to wrap my ahead around some things still...

There are really only 3 fights in the entire game in which status ailments are used by the enemy enough for Abyssal Mask to maybe be worth it and Safeguard is a wasted skill slot since in any situation where it would be useful, you can simply swap to another demon that wouldn't need it in that situation.
I got the original version of this game and I made it pretty much to the part of combining them together but I don’t get it?!? There is no English translation of the strategy guide??? Or a how to play the game???
As stated in the video, outside of pumping Masakado, Beelzebub, and Sakuya to 120 Vit for Satan when they were level 99, I used no incenses or balms. All stats came from playing the game and leveling up normally.
Defeat the super boss on CoV route and it unlocks a Miracle that increases the level cap; this also unlocks Godborn mode which scales all enemies to level 150 on NG+.
@@ricardocuadr3159 I've made a few dedicated build guides for SMT5V, and my previous ones for SMT5 are up too; but for the most part making demons is super simple in SMT5(V) since you can just use essence fusion to get any skill you want on a demon.
