@@nagisafurukawa5736 oh that's the goal but i severely lack the necessary RP to do it all. I'm currently at about 1.3k rp and i need at least 2.5k for some of those. But I'm holding onto them all until i can combine them
I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your videos! Online guides for RF5 are not as abundant as with other games so your channel is such a needed resource.
Martin can help get you an even better one that's more than three times as strong: the Break Hammer (provided you're willing to grind up your Forging skill to 77+): Give him gifts until he gives you a piece of Orichalcum. Then go to your forge and add the Orichalcum, a Palm Claw, a "Sticks and Stems" material, and a "Mineral" material. Forge those items together and you should have yourself a Break Hammer (which has over 7.2K ATK!!!!). And then if you have a Light Ore, and you want to transfer the Break Hammer's stats to another weapon type (for instance, a Short Sword or Fist weapon), go to your forge, and then once you pick the item you want to transfer the Break Hammer's stats to, start the forging process for said weapon after adding one Light Ore & the Break Hammer itself to the recipe. And POOF! You could have something as simple as a Broadsword with the absurdly high stats of a Break Hammer.
@@gamester512 tbh I have the 80 attack wand and I still faceroll the game. It's very easily cheesable and even with a basic sword, as long as you do damage bosses are telegraphed enough that you can breeze through the game even without any cheese. A great cheese if you want to level your smithing to 80 is just getting a few weapon breads (or more oricalcum) and also spend like 30 minutes with the lazy girl in your team, a wooly and a 5 min timer to dodge the royal curry that sells for 500k, that should give you 3m and then you spend some time on the forge (that you move in the bath house) with scrap metal to break your rp bar on the highest level recipe you have, failing it like 60 times and immediately take a 500G bath, repeat till level 80. You can easily do that while watching a movie.
@@satibel (that you move in the bath house) with scrap metal to break your rp bar on the highest level recipe you have, failing it like 60 times and immediately take a 500G bath, repeat till level 80. - How many scrap metal I need to spare for this trick?
Hey Josh, Thanks for all the great tips! Keep up the good work. I've found a couple that I don't remember seeing in your videos and thought I'd share them: You can farm the Buffamoos East of Rigbarth infinitely. You can clear them out, walk away far enough (to the sign post or something), and then go back. They'll keep spawning. With regard to fruit tree seeds you can Save/Load to get infinite tree seeds. The 2 spawn locations will keep the same seed for the entire day, and you when you reload a save it will respawn the seed. If you load in and the seed isn't there you can just reload again until it spawns. The tree seeds don't change until you go to sleep (or 6AM, but I haven't tested) so you can spend all day getting a particular tree seed. Apologies if you knew these or had already pointed them out, but I don't recall seeing them.
Just a heads up, but those Cores are not end game only items, as you can get them from Blues, Reds, Yellows, and Little Grimories before beating the game. No Res 10% is amazing, too. Also, villagers that give you cooked dishes always have a utensil theme to them. Mixer for Julian, Knife for Fuuka, etc. I have been going out of my mind for the past month trying to pin down exactly what makes this mechanic tick. Suffice it to say, "story progression" is not the end-all-be-all that so many people think it is in this. There are so many moving parts to this that I haven't been able to track it at all. I've stayed at one point in the story, and the items just got consistently better one day. I played a few extra playthroughs just to figure this junk out, and I know that it isn't throttled by FP or level of the NPC or player. I've progressed the story and the items didn't get better. I've progressed the story and the items have gotten worse. WORSE. What? Ryker will give you mostly weeds sometimes and no rare scales. Other times he gives heaps of rare scales. Sometimes Terry will just give you Charms and Cheap Bracelets. From what I can tell, the ability to get "good" items from villagers seems to be a shared property, meaning you will either have the possibility to get something good from everyone, or just junk. I want to know why so badly. I have a feeling that the "beaten the story" flag that I just recently acquired on the English version has something to do with it as well, since I had that for most of my playthroughs, but I'm not exactly sure what. Maybe I could tell you in a week? Well, literally back to testing this exact thing right now. Later.
I'm also of the assumption that it changes depending on the day. I've had days where Martin favoured gifting me platinum as a good drop one day and orichalcum on another. This was before gaining access to mining silver and gold.
Yeah, me and my friend have been so frustrated by this-im trying to marry Ryker so i'd been giving him handmade gifts for his neutrals and he was giving me extremely rare scales at the beginning of the game. I, being an idiot, sold them all, and now he's only giving me cheap scales. Same for my friend who only started befriending him later in the game: he only gives them the three cheapest scales
Terry gave me heart pendant early on, sometimes Ryker gives me weeds not just scales. Thanks for in-depth gifts guide. I find that best to make items to give after dailies farm chores because quickly fills up the inventory.
Instead of doing the broadswords etc, you can do the pickled turnip dish for most characters. The problem with the broadswords/weapons is that the characters will rotate what they use in battle and end up with the junk pile sometimes. Maybe there's a way to turn off this feature I don't know about? Anyway, just thought I'd throw this out there. (For the ones that don't like picked items or turnips, onigiri is a good option as well.)
So the people that give food give it from a specific cooking tool? Scarlett: simple Livia: steamer Priscilla: bake Randolph: bake Yuki: frying pan Lucas: pot Misasagi: pot Hina: blender Julian: blender Fuuka: knife
Terry definitely helped me. I managed to get a heart pendant from him early on when I was trying to get the fluffy scarf from him, so I've been able to level up my skills faster thanks to him. I guess Murakumo also helped me with all the claws and fangs he was giving me when I gave him grilled skipjack every day. I got some pretty great ones from him. Ryker has also given me some great scales too.
I got two heart pendants in a row from Terry early on in the game, getting spammed with level ups was fun lol Didn’t know about Reinhard giving tree seeds, will definitely try gifting him some stuff today!
Reinhard is easy enough, just cook him up weeds (failed dishes) and he goes nuts. I honestly feel bad for the guy, definitely got the short end of the stick in RF5 (no tastes doesn’t usually equip ‘I’m okay being handed the most toxic food in game’ just feeding him basic food should have been good as well.)
Oh gosh. I wish I knew this lol. I had been gifting hand made items to Martin, Terry and Cecil. Cause ya know..... if u wanna marry one of them might as well get to know the whole family. Got the heart pendant from Terry a day after I complete Act 1 and before I got my badge back and before I got the next dungeon.
Thank you for the time and effort you put into this. I’ve watched a couple other videos you’ve put out looking for hints and tips and I’ll be looking forward to any other English version tips videos you have planned. Two questions if I may: I’m partial to the dual knives/daggers is there anyone that rewards you with those for gifts? And what’s the quickest way to increase Max RP? I know it increases with level ups but are there any skills that increase it more than others? Or some other item to use to boost it?
A really easy way to make money is to take Elsje with you on an adventure, get your hp low with either bad food or taking damage... then dodge the foods she throws at you. So you can pick them up! One of the foods she throws at you is worth 500k and you can do this soon as you can invite others to join you!!
Terry has given me a strange pendant after many soft resets...still no heart pendant. I feel like my copy is cursed. Great informative video, I'm totally hitting up the blacksmith next!
i ended up getting a hammer that has 5500 atk from darroch early game. Was super taken aback by that. I don't really use it much unless i'm really having trouble
Great video, I'll have to soak up some goodies from ryker and heinz. Can you do a video about in-battle abilities like how elsje throws food when you're under 30% health, or how Simone throws danger items like mushrooms, failed dish, and object X (I've also seen her throw me a potion when I'm at danger levels, but idk if they're a variety of potions)
i got the gigant hammer + which gives 5k+ atk. making me very overpowered early. however i saved it untill i got light ire which i transfer it on a short sword for faster attacks. Also thanks for this video, very informative.
I just started and finished the first arc so far (don't know if that's the 1st arc, capturing Oswald guy) and I will try doing this! Currently year 1 Spring. Normal mode 😅 still struggling with ores.
I got a heart pendant early on because the grind is real in this game. Other than that i only shower martin with gifts so that i can upgrade my tools without progressing the story too much. In particular the scythe is important to upgrade for us people that care about leveling our crops. i got the gold scythe after the first dungeon, sadly i'll have to wait for the platinium scythe until i find the recipe super late in the game :(
Hey josh, mind if I ask you something? Do you happen to know if npc give you scarlet scale (for twin dragon sword)? I know it is grindable by kicking the boss ass but as for the npc gift, I not sure about it
so you can just give villagers anything that you made yourself as gifts that intresting will put a note to that once i bwat rf4 so i can start rf5 this could also be very good earn money way in game i think besides the royal curry method
Thanks for the info! I was also wondering how exactly you can unlock Margaret and Doug? I understand you need a RF4 special save in your switch and I have the physical copy however my game doesn’t show that they acknowledge that there’s a RF4 special save so I’m kind of stuck :’)
I did mention during Ryker's part that another character joining later would be giving scales as well, but avoided giving her name or showing her because of spoilers. 😅
do you know if murakumo would give the golden dragon claw? i looked a bit through the internet but can't find a way to get the item to make the twin dragon fist
Is the weapon drop on this game really rare compared to RF4? Playing the original and the special I found handy weapons all the time. This one however they hardly give me anything and what the blacksmith has to offer is no better. My party members are pretty much useless because they're weapons attack power is far too low.
I have a question, i have reached level 10 of friendship with the monsters in my barn but the next day i brushed them they went to lvl 11, whats the friendship lvl cap for tamed monsters?
I’m not sure if you ever found the answer to this since you posted it, so I’ll answer that the gift quality does not make a difference. A grueling test of 100 gold juices at level 6 - I cannot commit to the grind for higher levels right now - did not provide me with anything better than pickled turnips at level 1. However, someone in the comments here (bluedart, methinks?) got it right - the npc return gift quality does change depending on the story arc AND most recently defeated boss. Ryker was giving me nothing but weeds until I changed my boss grind for Seed points. I have no idea which boss changed his mind, though - I didn’t pay attention. Not testing it until I have stacks upon stacks of the good scales. 😅
i am really far in the story (i have to explore the 2nd stage in the haunted dungeon (and prob fight radea next?)) and gave 120 broadswords to martin....the best i got was gold. i got no platinum, no orichalcum or anything otherwise useful... =(
I have learnd so much about this game with your help😅. thank you. what is a good way to level up leadership? do I need a full group and have to fight? I know Seed points and eliza rise it too but I dont understand that group thing 🤔
Early game I noticed an immediate xp increase on recruitment. I don't know the math, but maybe you could recruit, release, rinse, repeat for decent gains.
A confession guide would be nice. Seriously running into a problem with confessions. I've looked it up but some of the info seems to be one way or the other.
hate to say it but the gifts fail for crafting equipment in that you need level 10 materials so they are useful for quest rewards or selling that being said I think reinhard, terry and cecil is most useful. Seeds are always nice, accessories are more useful for effects than stats so his gifts could be useful until you craft something better or to use for combining effects and cecil because I hate fishing
Go through settings, turn off farm camera for in town (and because it's disorienting as !@#$ anyway), dynamic resolution should be on... Other than that, always play while plugged in and pray for optimization in future updates. I also limit my follower count because the game SERIOUSLY cannot keep up. Only travel with three if you're taking zero or minimal damage from lag hits since they WILL happen.
@@yoshuarudy6786 Yeah. The town does seem to take a while. No stopping that issue. As long as it's not crashing, that shouldn't impact gameplay, thankfully. Happy Easter, btw!
I believe so but not directly just make a random “fodder” accessory and put the scarf and pendant as materials for it. The scarf and pendant overwrite the effects of the fodder accessory so keep that in mind. Also save before you make it since its kinda rng based. You can check ur equipment with darroch and see if he mentions the pendant and scarf to make sure it worked.
@@schokodeuli i dont think itd cost too much but idk their material levels. You could try putting them on like a cheap bracelet and if that doesn’t work its really easy to grind crafting levels in this game. I was able to get to level fifty w/o the pendant pretty easily
@@loewin it is always funny to see the community not be on the same wave length and just be too friendly like that and i have seen it happen a few times lol
I would have to verify if it works with a friendship level 0, but in this video they all had either friendship level 1 or 2, so I don't think it matters.
@@JoshGamingGarden yeah, I thought the level had to be like 5 or higher. But I was wrong. And missed out on alot of gifts . But I am doing it now lol. And most of mine r between 2-4
My RNG luck must be pretty bad cuz i havent gotten the purple hammer from Darroch yet and im on the second arc lol 🤣 gonna keep trying though thats for sure lol
Wow! 😨 I wonder if you can get it from the very beginning? Because some of the weapons will scale and you can only get after reaching certain points in the story. But in any case that's a strong hammer!
