Just saw they now have an X-4 with 6 layers of CF on each face. 😮 Hope they send them to you to carry/review.

I bought the X3 Lite based on recommendations about this company from a friend. He has the X3 Pro and raves about it all the time. Body Helix had a deal on the X3 Lite with last years graphics so I decided to give it a shot. I'm coming from a Vatic Prism Flash, Diadem Warriors Edge and Bread and Butter Filth. The X3 Lite is by far heavier than any of the paddles I mentioned. It's considerably noticeable. It's not a bad paddle at all but it doesn't do anything spectacular in my opinion and I'm still trying to add weight to get a balanced feel. It feels very head heavy. Maybe I'm just not good enough to play with it. I'm around a 3.8-4.0 player. The problem with getting this paddle is if you decide you don't like it good luck selling it. The brand isn't very well known in pickleball circles. If you buy one be prepared to have it as a spare if you don't like it.

Any chance you could list the swing weights? Particularly for the X3 Pro. Maybe I missed it. Thanks!

Yes I'm trying to include swing weights on a more consistent basis but we don't have a machine to measure it ourselves right now so I need the info from the brands but we're trying to get something going.

Hi Luca, good review. How would you rank the Body Helix x3 Pro against the Pro Line Enegy and the Six ero Ruby or DB Diamand if you were to pick just 1 paddle to buy? Thanks again🙂

Good question! Personally, I would go for the Ruby but all three are fantastic.

Would you say the X3 Pro is the closest to a Tennis Racket? I'm more of a Tennis player than a pickleball player nowadays but i want a paddle that feels like my racket.

Yes, it's the best bet for you on the market right now.

Didn’t the body helix pro and the body helix pro lite come out a few months ago? Sounds like they were better than these new paddles?

The X-2 and X-3 are unchanged.

So I ended up purchasing the X-3 Pro on a bit of a whim following your fantastic endorsement of it. I wasn't sure whether I'd be able to handle the static and swing weights, but the power, control, and touch profiles of the paddle sounded extremely appealing. Upon initially hitting with the X-3, I was very pleased to realize that I could handle the weight, and that I in fact preferred a heavier, more substantial-feeling paddle compared to my previous paddle (I came from a stock Selkirk Luxx before the X-3 if you can believe it). Even the X-3's most glaring issue, its maneuverability at the net, is a hurdle that I can overcome given some more time with the paddle, so overall, I'm quite happy with the purchase decision 🙂 That all being said, I actually started to wonder, given my dual propensities for heavier paddles and strong preference of singles over doubles (it's *really* hard to find people willing to play singles in my locale), whether I would actually enjoy tennis more than pickleball. So, my question to you, Luca, what tennis racket(s) would you recommend I try should I decide to pull the plug and try my hand at tennis? You can consider me as a decent pickleball player who has the technique to handle the X-3 Pro, though I'm not an amazing PB player, probably similar-ish to the profile that you described about yourself as a PB player in this video. Judging from some of your tennis videos, the HEAD Speed MP sounds like a strong candidate, given that you recommended it for intermediate tennis players who are looking for a racket that won't hold them back in any one area of the game. Are there perhaps others I should have on my radar? Am I perhaps jumping the gun a bit by looking at intermediate-level rackets?

I think the Speed MP is a fantastic option for someone who has the technique to swing something at a full weight spec. It's kind of the perfect "blank slate" racket because of what I said about it not being too focussed on one aspect of the game, so yes, I think that's a great option. I don't even think you're making too hasty a decision to go for something 300 grams because you could certainly try the 285 category but you'd graduate out of it very quickly. Just be ready to feel a completely different launch when you're playing tennis vs. pickleball!

How would you describe the power/control ratio on the X-3 Pro?
@RacketsandRunnersPickleball
@RacketsandRunnersPickleball 6 месяцев назад
Power: it will always be insane no matter who uses it. Control: it's much more complicated. The paddle has that adaptive plushness to it in the soft game. It also has great feel and a small sweet spot so tons of positive feedback, so for the right player it will be great for control. The issue is, the small sweet spot, the extremely high weight both add tons of difficulty to it so if you swing it poorly it will be wild and extremely unforgiving/lacking in control. Basically, for very high level players the control will be fantastic, for everyone else it will be too difficult to control.
