These cards need to be banned 

Agreed, Mirkwood was an instant add for my Beledros deck but otherwise I don't have any of these anywhere else. These cards are best described as facilitators, they help accelerate a strategy but don't finish things on their own. They aren't domineering enough to warrant a ban.

@@thetrinketmage Gyome. I brewed a deck around him when he first came out based on artifact creatures that I inevitably scrapped. After the recent Food support from LotR and WOE, I rebuilt him and have had a blast since. Food and other artifact tokens are my favorite thing in Magic right now, so Mirkwood Bats was one of the best cards that could've ever come out for me.

I run him in my slimefoot & squee deck, he's great

The bats are one of the only non-vampires for my Strefan deck. They are so great

I agree. The other two are totally fine. Norn isnt really. She is very strong in commabder and annoyed quiete often on a friday night.. that said, if norn is powerfull enough to be banned than there are other cards that could be banned as well. Like thassas oracle, dockside or rhystic.

@@thetrinketmage I think the whole Mirkwood Bats scare was hilarious and is a sign that the RC and the Advisory Group are so out of touch. Ever heard of Turn1 Thoracle or Underworld Breach kills? I don't think a 4 mana common Bat that drains for 4-15 life a turn rotation is competing with that.

Bootlegger is frankly best in Korvold since it doubles as card draw. Frankly if it was black like its flavor informs it should have been it would have been a MUCH more common card, and I'm salty because PROSPER can't use it! Red would have been way overkill, frankly its color identity is what's stopped it from being format-warping since green already does big mana without the card and more often, whereas red or black could use it more often and more synergistically.

God I want engine unbanned so I can rebuild cEDH Arcum and put it into cEDH Joira! (I cannot guarantee that I wouldn't abuse the privilege to put it into Prosper, Orvar, Urza, Guile, Elminster turns, or Prismari to make them even more disgusting)

just slotted one into Prosper alongside even more reckless fireweaver redundancy and some other goodies from WOE like Beseech, the black court and red virtue (all pulled! I forgot to order the decadent dragon tho, woops!). My Prosper is a menace to society and if I ever got the cash to drop on a grim monolith and wheel of fortune I'd build a cEDH deck (or just proxy but then I'd have issues at some few tournaments that haven't caught up to the zeitgeist) but for now it's my go-to for the "we'll all be the asshole today" pods.

No. The thing is, not everyone plays in a playgroup like that, and no one uses the banlist as examples of cards that shouldn't be played, it's used as "you can't have these specific cards on a deck", and most people play that way.

True but those cards don’t require you to do anything. It needs your opponents to draw cards or cast spells which will happen in 100% of games. You don’t need any synergy for those to work

The RC doesn’t seem to care about enablers just cards that stop people from wining on turn 2

Yea that’s an enabler it enables you to win. The RC is more focused on cards that slow down or stop people from winning

Wotc does not ban cards for commander it’s the rules committee
