Oh yeah the format would be so much fun if no one played interaction and whoever had the best opening hand always just won immediately. That sounds really great
@@NitpickingNerdsso Ghalta should be banned ? XD too easy to cast, an kills you in 2 hits. I admit, for now we need unbans, not banning…. With the same logic we can ban a lot of other thing because I lost to it. be bether and focus around that
At first I thought it was serious, I was like “yeah I can see Dockside being a little unhealthy for the game, but I mean it can’t be that bad”. Then it just quickly devolved into obvious satire of salty people 😂
@Servbot40 Yeah, really, that's what I said dweeb... tutors are fine, unless you enjoy playing 3 hour games. It would be turn 24, and you'd probably be like "dang if only I had 3 more turns." 🤣🤣🤣
@Servbot40 I agree that tutors in general can make a game with decks around a power level 7 or lower, too consistent. However, one of greens' big selling points outside of artifact/enchantment removal is its ability to tutor up lands. So unless you mean greens' ability to tutor up creatures is broken, I wholeheartedly disagree with your opinion. There are always signets for colored mana. 🤷♂️
@@iansvoice1 *WRONG.* It's still a 6/6 with *deathtouch,* the best keyword in the game! Imagine if I'm swinging with my cool 12/12 dinosaur, but the other guy has a Grave Titan, and then my dino just *dies* for no reason? Grave Titan needs to get out!
The least fun I ever had was playing against stax, but I’ve also had the delightful experience of blowing out the stax player with a table united. That wouldn’t happen if we used bans excessively. Use the ban hammer with caution.
A sub theme of the set of that removal spell was literally color pie mixing. I remember reading an article on wizards talking about a few cards this being one.
It's dumb to ban really anything in commander. There's always a way around something, and when there's more players involved, then nothing really sticks around to see the light of day long enough anyway. Elesh norn grand ceno is easy as fuck to pick off and is basically a white massacre wurm because she gets taken out too fast anyways. We don't complain here in magic we make do and make more broken cards that make old broken cards seem not so broken anymore.
I play a format called no fetch commander, basically you can't tutor for something unless it's a land card, because I hate decks where they have their combo and the rest is tutors
Personally I think mono black should have just a little more enchantment removal. Was playing mono black aristocrats and a player cursed me that when one of my creatures dies it gets exiled. And proceeded to counter feed the swarm
With the brawler both the proficiency to damage feature and the weapon mastery feature should apply to your fist for people who want to focus into it. Also the lvl 18 feature being a di increase feels kind of crappy.
" we should ban a one of search card! It makes the game too consistent, even though you can only put one demonic tutor in your deck!" Oh my sweet summer child.
What if commander had 2 sets of banned lists? One for regular EDH that we all play and a seperate for cEDH? I know we have rule zero and all that but a cEDH list could un-ban a bunch of things and EDH could ban things like cheap non-specific tutors
I understand it's meant to be a jokey video making fun of how unreasonable EDH players can be at times. All other factors being equal though, I wouldn't mind seeing fewer decks running around with Dockside Extortionist or Demonic Tutor. Just saying, the Edgar Markov player tutoring for Captivating Vampire or Sanguine Bond for the 5th time or someone using Demonic Tutor to go search up Thasa's Oracle again is a line of play I could go the rest of my life without sitting through.
I don't know - my Token deck LOVES Elesh Norn. How about we make a compromise? If you're a token deck you're allowed to play Elesh Norn, but it's banned for everbod else.
norn is fine. there is so much spot removal its bassicaly just a 7 cost -2/-2 sorcery... I've never had it last more than 1 untap step. beast within and reamass you're army or swords to plowshares or oblivion ring or what ever .. red is litteraly the only color that has problems removing it. besides chaos warp...
the not being able to play sucks yes but you should have had at least 12 spot removal spells. and thats not including any feild wipes. I.k its tokens. probly a budget deck too. osification, oblivion ring, the new bargain curse effect day of judgment wog destroy power 4 or bigger uncommon instant theres like 6.. norn is strong but easily removable.
Rule zero exists for a reason, it's a good thing we don't ban cards Beezy finds "unfun" because commander would suck. Just like all the other formats that go heavy on the ban hammer. Don't like playing against certain cards or strategies....then don't.
