Finally, someone who gets it! The only other thing I would say is that those at the cusp end of millenials might also classify as zillenials, since they also have quite different beliefs then what is to be expected from the generalized millenial.

This is pretty normal I think for generations. I mean when I was your age, comparing myself (born in 1987) to someone born in like 1995 seemed ridiculous, we're both millennials yet they were so much younger than me and completely different. Now, I'm in my early-mid 30s and they're in their late 20s and it's obvious we're the same generation haha.

Actually those born between the 1st of January 1995 and 1st of January 2003 are a generation called "The New Silent Generation" ,people that don't revendicate ,it's a reference to "The Silent Generation" ,born between 1st January of 1900 and 1st January of 1923 ,they didn't revendicate too ,probably because of the 2 World War ,Those born in 1900 were 14 years old when WW1 started ,those born in 1922 where 17 years old when WW2 started . My guess is that it's because of Internet ,people became Sheep ,they just follow what the media tell them to follow and they don't think ,TV Media especially ,should not be trusted ,I think this happened partly because of the drop of the average IQ ,in the 90's ,in Western country ,coincidentally when Internet was made Public
