My husband, who I met when I was 13 and he was 16, used to DJ all of my 8th grade school dance, neighborhood parties and had a finished basement with a DJ booth that his dad built for him. We would all be down there on Friday and Saturday nights slow dancing to this song. We also d rocked out to their other songs: Disco Nights (Rock Freak), Standing Ovation and Make My Dreams A Reality. GQ brings back the BEST MEMORIES!!! If you liked them, then you really should listen to Ray, Goodman and Brown. They have soooo many great songs: Special Lady Happy Anniversary Inside of You A Part of You Slipped Away The Way It Should Be Their harmonies and a cappella are so tight it will blow your mind!!!

GQ did a great job on covering this classic song. As others have mentioned, you need to react to the original by the late great Billy Stewart. His singing style was very unique. This song came out in 65. There's two other songs by him you'll enjoy called Summertime and Sitting in the Park. You should really check him out!
