One of the best things about Three Dog Night, other than their music, was they never took themselves too seriously, and always knew how to have fun & still look cool as hell, doing it!!! 😎😎😎((Luv your reactions)) ❤
Three Dog Night is a great American rock band from the 60's-70's. This band had a lot of energy. They had 3 guys with great voices that could all sing lead vocals. They had great songs such as "One" (written by Harry Nilsson), "An Old Fashioned Love Song", "Eli's Coming", "Shambala", "Liar", "Try A Little Tenderness", "Never Been To Spain", "Easy To Be Hard", "The Show Must Go On" etc.
This song was written by, Hoyt Axton. A prolific singer, songwriter and sometime actor. From what I understand, Axton wrote the lyrics as a goof, until he could think of something better, but before that could happen, the song was recorded and became a hit.
I thought I'd suggest another band, but this time a harmony band with lots of soul & funk. So grab your dancing shoes and get ready to boogie down " KC & The Sunshine Band - That's The Way I Like It (Live 1975)" this is Disco music 🎶🤗🎺at it's best👞👠
I love Three dog Night such an upbeat and fun band. And since so many great people gave so many wonderful suggestions, I think I'll just suggest another band, if interested "James Taylor - Something In The Way She Moves (Disco 2 12/5/1970)" Great reaction I love your enthusiasm 🔥💖🎸🤗🎶
The Looking Glass did a song called "Brandy". It doesn't seem like much at first but it draws you in with the talent of their voices and the story of the woman waiting for her love to come back.
3 Dog Night...yay !...Joy to the World..released January 1, 1970... A commenter before me listed a number of their works...so..it's a close your eyes and pick one..lol... Thanks Greg...hope you're well...🙏...🌿🌿🌿
I have friends from this era and we have a bunch of txt threads where someone just throws out an opening lyric and we do the whole song one line at a time😂. This was our last one so I just started laffing when it came on. Try listening to “ One ( is the loneliest number)” Played the vinyl off when my boyfriend left for the army.
Such an iconic song by this band, & everybody loves it. You're right - they certainly always had a good time with their music. Songs by them you might react to: "Never Been To Spain", "Shambala", & "Black & White". Thanks for reacting to this really fun song.
Hey Greg, another great reaction to a great band. They have an awesome sense of humor. They have a more serious side too. I'd love for you to check out a couple of their songs "One", "Black and White". Thank you. Much love
I like the way you pick up the musical nuances and the details of the composition. Thanks for the great reaction. I always thought these guys were really edgy for choosing that song title and then backing it up with a banger.
Now imagine riots and Vietnam on the news every night and you’ll understand why there were so many happy song hits in this era (California Dreamin’ to Country Roads).
Can we take our country, world back to this? Sick of crap seem to be getting in now. Don't wanna sound like a hippie but peace love and tendentious is what world needs. Wasn't around in 60s and just a kid in 70s.
