And today's country is country? Most country artists are failed rock and roll bands 💯. Look at all the artists in leather and chains! 🤣😂🤣. Bob's song sounds like a hybrid to me like every other song. They play kid rock on country stations 🤣😂🤣

I do not know how I missed this!!! My dad committed suicide when I was 17 years old. He told me when I was 13 he wanted this played at his funeral, so we played it. He is a MIchigan boy. And his music is considered Rock. This just happens to be a mellow song. Check out more Bob. 'Old time rock & roll' is fun tune. 'Night moves' is mellow like this. 'Against the wind' or 'Roll me away'. So many good songs. Enjoy the journey.

Back in the seventies, being on tour meant you were zig zagging across the country in a big old bus. Bob Segar and Jackson Browne both did several songs about the toll it took. Segar's Roll Me Away and Browne's Running on Empty and Load Out/Stay are songs that let you know it was taking a lot out of them. These guys also played their own music and sang live, no lip synching back then. A concert wad $20.00 and it lasted a couple of hours. Today, everything is recorded in a studio, they use private planes to get around, they lip sync through the whole concert that only lasts 45 minutes and it will cost you $200.00 or more.

You know the old saying: You can't judge a book by its cover? Well, you can't judge an album by its cover, either. The truth is, back in the early 70's, Country and Western artists did not dress or look like Bob does on this cover. Back then, most were either in cowboy hats and clothes or were clean cut, often wearing suits. Bob looks like an early 70's rocker. The so-called "Outlaw Country" look came later.

Hey, Greg. Another Greg here. Thx for doing this. Wait til you hear Seger's "Night Moves". Everybody from all walks of life love that song! Thx for considering. BTW, "Turn The Page" came out in '72, but this live version is really the only version you hear on the radio because it is so good. The live version came out on the classic, awesome album "Live Bullet" from '76.

The songs I like were " Fire Down Below", " Old Time Rock and Roll ", and " You'll Accomp'ny Me " because it has that story telling and rock music. You will also hear his famous sax player, Alto Reed.

Bob Seger is a classic, His voice is powerful and raspy, just a side note Metallica did a re-Make of this song, you will not be sorry if you do a Metallica reaction, for yourself and us rockers....As always, loved that your exploring some classics. Here are some suggestions would love to hear, The Bee Gee's, Jerry Rafferty's Baker Street, the Instrumentals in this song is crazy, Metallica, Journey, Boston and Guns and Roses. Thank you Greg, You always put a smile on my face with your reactions. Would love to see maybe a classics day on your channel ❤️

Saw him and the Silver Bullet Band when I was stationed in Germany. Alto Reed (sax player) black stage, spot light on him, sanding atop a column of amplifiers. What a performance.

Bob Seger’s been rocking since the 60’s, so, yes, Turn the Page, came out in 1973. I was eleven, and he was my first real celebrity crush

It's cool that you're listening to the lyrics and not just the beat! You have to listen to words to understand the story! He's got a bunch more great songs! And he is, without a doubt, one of the most underrated song writers out there! I've seen him 13 times! He was the first concert I ever went to. It was 1976 at the Toledo sports arena. I was 14 years old. I will never forget it, me two of my buddies! Rock on Bob Rock!

That's what ya call, Classic Rock. Turn The Page (as in another day coming just like the one you already had). Another day, another dollar...it's not much but you do what you can...you work with what you got. Make the best of it.

He’s not actually country, but his whole catalog of music is one great song after another.

This song holds a very special place in my heart. My friends and I never missed a chance...after we were drunk...to pop in a Bob Seger cassette (in the 80's) and have a very interesting sing-a-long!! I really wish we had owned a camcorder back then.🤣🤣🤣
