Now Kerry has really done it ..with finding the answer to the low priced homes people always claim they want (even if have to pay for help to do it all or some ..this looks rather possible/hopeful. )These seem to be very thoughtfully designed . I have been watching several women's vids who knew absolutely nothing about house building and repair and did it ...a lot of it by themselves. Watching them over time hugely impacted my own mind ...as i watched and saw just HOW MUCH WE CAN DO THAT NEVER REALIZED IS possible because we never bothered to really take a longer look....and so we ONLY SEE WHAT THINK WE CAN'T DO ...when there is so much we can. These women showed me that and when they got to those things they needed help with...they got some and people helped in the end unexpectedly out of nowhere sometimes....or friends/ family and it just got done. So if money is low i hope folks won't give up on their dream and even consider watching some vids of others who got theirs done when it didn't seem possible. Many men and women watching what they saw admitted they realized they could have done those things..once they saw these women DOING them and they saw that it did not take what they did not have the ability to do ....ONLY THAT THEY THOUGHT THAT WAY. .. I even have a friend who bought land and had no money for a home build . She put up a tent and in the cold pacific nw in the summer and just kept her mind focused on her dream w/o any idea how she would ever get it. One day a man stopped by and asked if she was planning to build a house. He lived nearby and was a house builder/construction worker. He said he would help . He never wanted a dime. she paid for the wood and supplies and he build a small but not too small ...home with kitchen, bedroom, bath and living room! A few years or more....later.... she had enough from her profession to build another home on same property that is 3 times the size and that original one is now a home for a family member. If she just complained and never held her dream in spite of costs and doubt...this never would have happened...Maybe neither of the two. Having hope and sustaining it , is worth it , regardless of the outcome because if we don't ...we just eliminated potentials ...instead of making room for them. There is nothing to lose in not giving up and not giving in to feeling lack and blame and 'can't do' except losing those limitations that keep you from even SEEING potentials even if they are looking you right in the face.

I think i check them out a couple of months ago, its in Canada, the prices are good... well maybe... the how much those it cost to get assemble is a big question!? At that size, they should be able to ship them (in north america) fully assemble... and that staircase is a nightmare!!!... but that being said, their going on the list of interesting prefab company!

The pricing is really competitive, but it also becomes a matter of figuring out how much contractors would cost for those of us that aren't savy this regard. Definitely an option worth looking into. Love the fact that they have a raincatch and solar option.

I’m definitely not a DIY kinda guy. I struggle mightily with IKEA furniture. I can imagine how much I’d suck at putting a home together. 😂 The plus size ones we’re cool though. I’d go with the one with the extra empty space to use it as my home recording studio. It looked plenty big enough. Great video as always Kerry. 😎

They just need an architect with a good sense of style and design flair to completely redo their exteriors... the design and detailing on those is way subpar compared to the greatness of the other aspects. The luxury ADU market continuously expands like spacetime. Last year, I was in line to buy a Boxabl. I was SOLD. In no time, visionaries, craftsman and architects alike entered this space, creating a long list of competitive, stylish, modern and sophisticated alternatives to the (already outdated) Boxabl Casita. Today, I choose the Cube Live + Layout C, with added convertible sofa bed, and transforming wall unit! This is another winner, Terry! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hi Kerry, imagine the minister for housing in Ireland called you and said " Kerry we need your expertise, we have 70,000 Ukrainian refugees and at least 12,000 homeless Irish people, what's the fastest " cheapest" prefab option for our needs. Here are some of the rediculous catches. We'll need estates full of these homes with service buildings, some offgrid options would help an electricity grid fueled by gas which is really expensive because of the war in the Ukraine. We have a limited construction workforce charging astrononomical rates literally to wire a plug socket. We are only now restarting an apprentice program after a property price collapse in 2008. Rents have increased over 100% since that collapse and exceed the highest prices of the boom. We can no longer pay the hotels we've been accommodating the Ukrainians in and they will be made homeless very soon. The cost of inflation is running at 8% to 10%, and building material prices are only good for 12 hours. For this reason developers can't make their normal profits so they engage in land hoarding instead, ( they buy a piece of land, get planning permission and then sell for double what they paid for it, one example in Dublin city center, a derelict building bought in 2010 for 750,000euro was sold for 1.9 million euro in 2019 with planning permission to a hotel chain). Ireland has an extremely damp climate, a high level of air humidity means a lot of mould and rot. Wooden boats left outside in the elements would last about 2 years before rotting away. A more realistic number for Ukrainian refugees will be 200,000 before the war ends, most of which will arrive this summer. A normal Ukrainian unit is made up of three generations of ladies, a mother, an aunt, a grandmother and three children. But single units will also be needed." We've already named a county after you as we are sure you're the man for the job, it's called " county Kerry ". Killarney Co. Kerry is one of the main destinations for Ukrainians needed to fill jobs in the hospitality industry, so a prefab option that would blend to the countryside but is high density is needed.

Terry you hit the nail on the head. Everybody needs to truely assess their DIY capabilities, before taking a project like this on. Most people seeing savings and start to salivate and froth at the mouth 🤣. Next thing you know they got their house in component form, complaining about how the pieces don't connect like Legos (their only "building experience")

This is what i need i think in imperial county in the suburban of el centro, California.

I have to admit thieve houses did not impress me. If I were planning to have a house built I do not want to be the one constructing it. The prices you cited were based on the potential owner doing the work. The hiring of a contractor to complete the build will not be an inexpensive amount to add to the base price. I do, however, appreciate the time and effort you put into preparing, filming, and editing this video. Thank you!

i dont think enough emphasis is placed on modularity with these prefabs. The beauty for me is that even as a minimum wage worker, i could feasibly buy one of the 8 or 9 empty 40k plots in my city that are too small or awkward for a standard home, and then just plan out a series of modular prefab structures that can be addded one at a time as my budget allows. once its all paid off, i would have home that is inexpensive, custom tailored to my needs and far more luxurious than anything i could have purchased in the traditional housing space.

Haven't heard the term 'gitch' in so long. I'm from rural Ontario, so it's very familiar to me, but I've been in the city so long I never hear it anymore.

I tried to work with these guys and they are not ready to work with families in the US. During the sale they said they would take care of all permitting (I literally have it on recording) and after putting down my deposit they basically said I had to request the permits. Not what I signed up for, I stressed I wanted turnkey service.

Seems like Boxable is a better value given that the labor costs to set up should be dramatically less for them..and they come with everything. Of course they don’t actually have the stackable two story plans available at the moment…but I’m still in the information gathering stage, so not really an issue for me. To be honest what I really want is a Hobbit Hole in The Shire. When will someone make that? 😂

Are the price for DIY?

Every single prefab company that you do a review on only has small homes and little ADUs with the largest homes being only two bedroom. I wonder why? How come There is hardly anyone that has homes up to three bedrooms four bedrooms or five or six bedrooms?

I think they are cool but those prices I hope are shipped completely finished on site or you will never get financing for them.

Don’t need a kit shipped. These are over priced… it’s cheaper to buy sticks and build it. Get a plan and farm it out to a starving builder….

SUMMARY: it's an overpriced mobile home. A 16x80 (1140 sqft) mobile home is cheaper than 2 cube thing here... and a LOT BIGGER, and you can stand up in all of it.. no stairs!!

Please oh please get a different color chair or tshirt...your waist is killing me!!
