Mr Flores! So glad you were able to save the Muddy River! You should be very proud of yourself, you’ve saved a treasure! I’ve been watching your channel for years and was devastated to see what they were trying to do. So glad you had the cajones to fight back! Keep the videos coming, we’ll all be watching! 👍🏼🤟🏼💪🏽
I've been watching videos from this channel for years. And it still amazes me to this day that Chris is catchin big muddy flatheads out of a 2 man boat!!!
My daughter still talks about meeting you at the Catfish conference a few years back. So glad that you guys got your river back. One of the nicest big names I’ve met in the industry The PA Whiska Fish boys will always watch the Muddy River gang!
I got into catfishing watching this channel a few years ago and have been a fan since! Keep the content coming and so thankful to see the muddy river back!
Very happy to see the muddy river is still alive and well, I know it's a special place for you. It's unique, tucked away in the bullrushes, protected from the wind, quiet and peaceful. And still has plenty of big flatheads! It's amazing how well river fish can live through periods of extreme low water, they know hidey holes to wait it out. Good for the river, good for you getting the flow back!
Dude you are too much, I’d love to go fishing with you. You honestly have a good time no matter what. I’m glad to see you back out catching flatheads again in your old spots.❤
It's been decades since I've caught a flathead. Our river here in kansas went bone dry. A lake in Colorado shut off the water flow and irrigation dropped the water tables to the point what used to be a thriving Arkansas river is a dirt bike trail now.
The most legends of waterways and angler. That muddy water is what catfish anglers dream of fishing. It only took Drew half the morning to cast his bait right 😆. Knocking that rust off... I do have a question Kris. Do you think you'll make anymore catfish floats again? I need more floats and i don't trust knock off muddy river floats that are out there.
Wow. What a treat it is to see you back on the Muddy River. Super video. One of the best! Question: On this trip, were you using braided line or monofilament? What pound test? Thanks in advance, Kris.
Absolutely amazing thank you for sharing love catfish good Sir had a question what state are located in if I may ask... I miss fishing for good ol blues and flat heads back home..
@@bibipeach6 🤣 at least in not the only one. I’m telling you. I been dying to find it. Or at least the same stretch river and I’ll find my own spots. I’ve obsessed over it lately. I been using Google earth and everything. Looking for Burnt spots. I have a few spots on the map to check out but I’m with you on that one lol 😂
Hey there Kris, thanks for all the great information in your videos. I'm in ABQ, but want to start fishing some lakes down south. I noticed in some of your videos you use live carp. Are there certain waters in New Mexico that allow live carp for bait? I thought it was only carp for cut bait? Thanks again, Chris
I have 2 questions. What spinning reels and line are you using? And I understand not sharing your fishing spot but can you tell me what river that is? Ive been watching you for like 10 years and I just gotta know.
@@pandemicthesick1 I use penn 6000 reels this was probably the pursuit ii. I use 65lb braided line from reaction tackle and I fish the Rio grande River in southern New Mexico. Thanks for watching!
@@muddyrivercatfishing your welcome brother one more question if that’s ok. I’m driving from far and I’m disabled I have mobility issues so I’ll be looking for somewhere to fine flat heads close to my car. And my question is I’m coming from Edgewood nm so would my best chance for a flathead be north or south of caballo lake on the Rio grande. Can you tell me that much? Also do you still have your flat head rods available I wanted a custom one with my name on it but if not a regular one is fine a bait casting rod tho for my abu 6500.
This one is from West Marine but it's the same boat as the Sun dolphin water tender. It's much more stable than my old v bottom. This one is a tri hull
Catch and Release That’s exactly why you’re still pulling Flattys out of your favorite muddy river sir. I’m a firm believer of If you take care of the land, the land will take care of you. Looks like you and ol Dryw had another epic day of the water. Also, unless you moved spots I’d say that was the same fish. The gash was in the same spot.
