I feel like the apathy towards Visas lore is a combination of 1) Konami has barely elaborated on any of it (see: the one as-yet-untranslated segment they got in VBEX 3, as opposed to the 3+ segments, some translated, for Albaz over the last few books) and 2) the fact that the Visas storyline also produced the two single most toxic archetypes in the history of modern YGO, so the lore got a _little_ bit overshadowed.
@@snowboundwhale6860 precisely. Now you can search for konkon or the therion field much earlier if need be in rikka sunavalon builds, and aromages finally get a searcher for garden.
The Tear that got converted into a Manadium is actually Scheiren rather than Kitkallos, as just like Shceiren, Manadium Tearlament has gray hair, a sword almost identical to the one Scheiren has in her artwork, having Scheiren's statline with an extra 500 attack, and also with how she's level 6 synchro, meaning that you can make her with Scheiren + one of the small Manadium.
Yes, it's tempting to say "It's Manadium Kitkallos" because of some cloths design and that she is the face of tearlament, but none of the stats of the synchro make sense for a Manadium Kitkallos. If it was really her, she should have been a level 7 with either 2300/1200 or 2800/1200 (to fit the bonus from Fearless). Like you said, the synchro fit more Scheiren stats, and some details seems to indicate it's Scheiren like the hair, the sword or the pose (and for the cloths, it's something that can easily change when a monster/characters gain a new transformation). Hope we see the others card lore soon to see what it will be
@@ashikjaman1940 She was saved after Visas beat Riseheart, you can see her in the card "New World Full of Stars" one of the last card from the Manadium arc who is not in the TCG yet
I mean it could be worse, at least Aegis is somewhat justifiable, could you imagine if he mispronounced something like, I don't know, Smiger for instance?
@@seanr.6498 Not at all. Visas starfrost is a light and a tuner, so it helps make the card eve more useful since you have deck with 3 differ level 2 tuners. The new synchro is good as a tuner since it would have been easily splashed as a way to go into accel stardust
I saw horus and was immensely disappointed with the lack of a retrain or evolution of the OG Black flam dragon. Oh well, I'll still try and make it work for my junky ass build
The Horas cards gives Springans easier access to F0 and/or a pre nibiru number 90, if going the F0 option you can make the zombie vampire which has plenty of good mills in Springans. Might not make Springans meta but defiantly enough of a boost for them to at least put up a challenge against the best decks
Only part of visas lore that was interesting was the Tearlaments stuff because you could actually tell what was happening. Guy lands on planet, locals are being oppressed, guy saves the queen, violence ensues, and then kashtira shows up for some reason
@@partyrock4144 Kashtira are like the Borg it seems to me. And Scareclaw are just beasts. Not really compelling. We see the plight of the Tearlaments and what they go through. That is something.
@@orga7777 if kashtira are like the borg then shouldn’t Tearlaments kashtira have more screen time (card art)? Like a ritual beast return or zefra path that shows kitkallos being purified.
@@partyrock4144 Visas restructured the worlds and then combined them all (or something). So that is kinda what happened. At least it appears that way. Let's be real, though. The Visas cards flow as well as a book that was ripped apart and put back together with scotch tape with a few pages missing.
The new Vsauce cards are so good, like that stuff makes Mannadium pretty damn good. It's at a similar point were branded was before the structure. I feel like if that deck gets something similar to the branded structure support in the next pack than the deck could take off.
The deck does not really need a structure deck at this point. With the new synchro, riumheart is officially a one card combo, but it does play into nib. Branded despia had no one card combos at all and no good fusion monsters
@@chewdoom8415 I didn't mean a structure, more like structure deck like support. The deck still misses something to be really good, sure we have a 1 card combo now, but like you said we still auto lose to nib. You could say that it's similar to branded, but they got tools to play through ash. Manna on the other hand just auto loses to Nib. As soon as it can play through nib it's good. (Btw by playing through I don't mean just chunk through it with an omni negate, more like still ending on interaction similar to something like Dragon link with Spheres/Savage pass).
@@bl00by_ Hmm. Well, I am pretty sure you can still end an apollousa with the scareclaw field spell alone. If you Search that with the synchro then you are good.
We dont care about Visas because it doesn't even seems like he cares really. Hes like a protagonist of an rpg who has one emotion on his face at all times so we can never really tell what exactly hes doing. Is he being a good guy? The villian? Unlike Albaz and even Avram who had very emotional moments with art that reflects it.
I'm kinda glad we have MBT to just quickly say that a card is ass or sucks. I was getting really frustrated earlier today when I was reading all the cards on the loaner decks for the anthology event only to realize what the main game plan they want you to do with them is complete garbage and I ended up wasting my time reading the damn cards. Like bro, in the Cydra loaner, they put Nova in, but didn't include Infinity. Instead, they added Pair Cycroid as one of the targets you can summon off of Nova being destroyed.
I was opening the new selection pack and I cannot stress how upset I was to get a Royal rare armed neos and then read the card. Do they expect you to fit a hero combo into you Ojama-ABC-Dragon piles? Grandmerge does it’s task better.
@@kechitiabderrahmane6357 Summoning it isn't the issue, the question is why summon it at all? The board clear on Armed Neos is funny, but antisynergizes with the fact that you need to summon it at the end of combo+it needs to destroy a card by battle and only then is it able to go into Cosmo Neos. Situationally useful but in decks which have lots of good extra deck options already.
Wonder how the Horus cards would be good with Springans to make an easy Sargaras and the discard don't matter since the springans can attach themselves from the gy anyway
About the Horus cards, you can small world bridge between all of them, reveal a horus, reveal a different horus in deck, get amesty for the sarc, so thats fun
You know seeing how alot of cards released in MD for awhile now like Assault Synchron, and them finally hitting TCG for some reason gives me hope that we're going to reach a unified format. Releasing new archetypes in MD before paper formats seems like a bad business idea in the long run but I can only dream.
joseph perfectly pronouncing qebehsenuef and then immediately after butchering "aegis" is 100% definitive proof that he pronounces shit wrong on purpose just to annoy people like me
For once MBT's right about pronunciation, αἰγίς or aegis opens with the greek diphthong αἰ, pronounced as the ai in "Aisle" and is followed by gamma, pronounced with a hard G like Gone. The word SHOULD BE pronounced as MBT said, it's just more common for people to say it the way it's listed on the wikipedia page and as is shown with the google text things bc it was romanised to match the latin way of spelling that diphthong and english is a bastard language full of rules and words we've stolen from everyone else all fighting for dominance.
I LOVE THE VISAS BOYS I LOVE THE VISAS BOYS THEY ARE THE PAPER VERSION OF THE YUYA BOYS I LOVE ALL 5+ OF THEIR SAME FACES MAY KONAMI NEVER STOP PRINTING THEM HAPPY PRIDE TO ALLLLLL😭
No one cares about visas lore because you can't play a visas deck from a set. Anyone looking to play the "maybe" visas deck coming soon has had to wait way too long for it to continue caring about it Branded has been a playable deck with revisions of support for a bunch of sets now, same with tri-brigade, springans, etc.
@@EpicKingofFail they're their own decks. They're visas decks as much as branded decks are dogmatika decks just because ad libitum is technically a dogmatika character. I'm talking archetype. You cannot pick up and play the visas archetype.
@@chewdoom8415 Sure, and there's definitely some amount of interest somewhere, it's just been trickled in to culminate in a non-meta deck, whereas branded/bystial/despia/albaz have all worked together from the beginning and have been relevant for years
@@redsquirrel9961 Years? Despia got introduced in dawn of majesty and did not become a good meta deck until the albaz structure deck, with the ocg got in 2021 and we got in 2022. Albaz was just a card futured in multiple cards that was and after thought in all the abyss lore decks, similar to how visas has been, until the structure deck. Bystials did not even come out until 2022 in July, and tcg got them in October . If we are being technical, the branded cards were not introduced until lighting overdrive. You did not even have a way to search them except for albion during the end phase, so how in the world was that deck any better than visas? How was branded any better and did not culminate into a non meta deck before the structure deck?
10:49 You are right that Google is wrong here but your pronunciation could be better. You are correct about the „g“ but try pronouncing the „Ae“ the same way as the „a“ in „hand“.
