For sure, I think a lot of people just develop little habits post round etc. I jitter forward (looks like aggressive forward dash) just out of pure habit while waiting for the next round. I don't think many people are really thinking about how they are perceived at the end of the round.
Look im no game programmer and all but, I genuinely do not understand how after the entire lifespan of T7 they cannot add a proper rage quit protection/ penalty system. The player who did not rage quit should be awarded the win and the rank points that come with it. Multiple games nowadays have a system like this.
It's not that they CAN'T, it's that they DON'T WANT TO. All they have to do is detect loss of connection (Alt+f4, plugging) and pressing the PS/Xbox button (dashboarding/force close app) and automatically assign a loss to the offending party, and a win to the party that kept connection. Continuous loss streaks mean you lose more points both as a way to keep you out of ranks you haven't earned/maintained and as a way to keep serial dashboarders/quitters off leaderboards.
@@steelooo0 Well, it’s been 20 years since I was diagnosed and around a decade since I’ve had any kind of treatment, so that video is probably unlikely to happen. Plus, I’m not exactly a high skill player capable of amazing combos, I think my best with my main Jin was 111 damage off a wall explosion. Rage+CH Just frame CD1, Just frame CD2, - B3,F,Zen,1 - BF2,3,F,ZenU1 - BF2,1,2 for wall explosion - side switch - Heat activation - FF2,hold F - Heat Dash - FF4 for 111 damage. I tried switching out the heat dash combo with rage art, but it does the same damage, so it’s better to do heat dash combo and retain rage in an actual fight, plus the heat dash part of the combo is stupid easy having no real risk of dropping.
Also its crazy how theres no punishment for obviously quitting when mortal kombat X back in 2015 added quitalities to punish rage quitting (stayer gets the win and points)
@@jakegersteinbut in time it just drops back to 0 anyways so it’s not even a punishment system just a small notification that they might plug or might not or could dc with connection issues
Misconception about this, a quitality in mk only happens because the player actually opens the menu in the start button mid game, and chooses "leave match" so a quitality happens and the game takes it as a win for the player that stayed, but if its a plug, no consequences whatsoever
I mean okay sure there are times where Tekken can crash. But why not add a limit to it. Like 1 disconnect per week (like in valorant). Funny how people are plug spamming in tekken 8.
Like wise I live in the middle of no where and sometimes our internet just cuts out. It doesn’t happen all the time, but like every now and then and it’s out of my control.
crazy how we see not plugging as honorable, and call the jin that didnt plug a hero/legend... when thats the most basic, bare minimum thing someone could do lmao. also remember to report pluggers everyone!
its normal for someone to back up after winning a round, i sometimes do that if i wanna calm down the pressure the opponent gave me, and its never that insulting
Yea i think everyone has different rituals on wins, including standing still. Win or lose, in the time between rounds i like repeatedly mash F,D,B,U (on leverless) just as a fidgeting method. But sometimes when i win and look on screen, it looks like im t-bagging if the rhythm is right lol. So now i tend to just end up just only pressing up and sidewalk to the background.
Plugging and direct toxicity through DM's is terrible. BUT T-bagging, walking backwards, and taunts is *really* not a big deal. People who get triggered by those things, are overly sensitive.
Agree. Villains/heels exist in every game, sport, etc. It’s another stimulus to strive to be better. Being offended by it and garnering voices likes this won’t make Tekken a Disney game. People need to grow a skin.
"...he started moving back just to troll and I don't mind that at all." he was never offended by the taunting at all. just provided context that someone had the gall to taunt yet also rage quit. edit: was too overly mean sorry
It is fine to be toxic , but when the person retaliates in a way that might be harmful to u or your family u can’t get mad cause u started the toxic shit , they just took it to another level . In retrospect just keep it respectful and done
I don't even understand why walking backwards is trolling lol. Even the ki charge should not be seen as toxic, its like a win pose if you don't put any meaning behind it. Players getting too soft nowadays.
Fully agree with this. Plugging was never this widespread before Tekken 8. My only explanation for that is that a lot of newcomers do it more on average than players from previous Tekkens. I stopped playing ranked months ago and only very recently came back to the game. I just hope that those people who can't handle losing eventually quit the game or stop plugging ( bc they get no games anymore if disconnect % display works). Thanks for a video like this. As long as there are pluggers it needs to be talked about. The devs must implement a solution for this like every other big fighting game.
Pluggers are people who think they are good players so they don’t accept losing. I honestly don’t see the merit of plugging when losing. You’ll not be a better player of you don’t face good players with an open mind and accepting to lose. It’s okay to lose, it’s okay to not know everything about the game (which means there is an area for further improvement). And this is never achievable by plugging on people. Your rank doesn’t always reflect how good and knowledgeable you are as a player. Especially if you’re plugging.
It's called bragging rights, also a way to save your "Hard Earned" rank points. It's that simple, no need to preach Bottom line is Pluggers are sore losers, end of story
Duh, its referring to when you *do* want to buy something, you have to spend far more than you have to. Blizzard was literally just sued for this practice in overwatch 2
@@stealthexecutor563 Separate arguement. Call it greedy or lazy or something, but calling them “predatory” makes it sound really exaggerated or like you don’t know what words mean
Do those pluggers not have a high disconnection rate? I’m curious why anyone would match with them if they noticed that beforehand. Maybe I’m lucky, but I’ve only been plugged a few times. I avoid anyone over 4%, but usually more like 2%.
@@mwkan772 That’s so crazy. Maybe the higher the rank, the more significant the plug % is because those players have higher win percentages, the need to plug is less. That means even 2% is no good at your level. The Devil Jin was super suspicious though because now that 13 match streak seems like complete bs.
for me 4% is normal. even 6% will all the random disconnections from the steam servers. I have lost a lot of matches because of that, just about to hit the final blow and STEAM SERVER MAINTENANCE
There must be a way for the game to recognize if the plug is an internet/game crash or intentionally closing the game, that way they give ban for determined time for example (6 hours/12 hours/1 day/3 days) so people will stop plugging
@@mitsos653 yeah its as simple as this, its not peer to peer so its completely insane that lobbies instantly vanish as soon as 1 client closes the game. a smol notification to the side that lets you know they disconnected (so if its unintetional or a friend, you could know easier) while the match keeps going is not a lot to ask for.
This is why I'm still at Battle Ruler with my Paul. 4 times I was plugged on my promotion chance, so I just gave up ranked until they install a proper punishment system.
I was playing Kazuya on the verge of promo and I ran into a devil jin who tbagged after every round win, I lost and knew it was time to take a few days off the game
@@kakimotoK20and nobody cares what you say. it's perfectly fine to take a break from Tekken people are toxic and do too much. that's when I one and done them AND don't give a rematch lmaoooo
@@suntansuperman598 “and nobody cares what I say” what is the point of this? People don’t care what you say just as much, so why you commenting? You should lose quit this comment section like you do tekken
@@kakimotoK20 Seems like a normal response to me, I would be more concerned if he said that he smashed his tv/pc to bits in a rage than if he decided to take a break from the game for a couple of days. Mans be adding extra information and acting as if the dude has PTSD lol
i think tekken should have something like what mortal kombat has, even tho the opponent quits (quitality) u would still get points and the game calls it a win
They should make it so you don’t have to fight people using the “simple combo” system if you don’t want to . I feel like if you don’t put the work in to learn combos and play the game, then you’re trash. You can disagree and to each their own but I enjoyed getting my butt handed to me as a kid when I first started playing tekken. It forced me to get in the lab and get good at playing, which added a level of fulfillment once I started winning and ranking up.
the Devs should implement that anyone who plugs is an automatic lose and the win be given to the other player. Cuz plugging off is just being a loser, they should man up and accept their defeat, I guess their prides are too high to accept their defeats.
Tbh We have to blame the company who made this game abusable as T7 even after servicing and experiencing almost 10 years of previous series. They even added "Amazing Tekken Shop" due to server sustainability and still stick to P2P connection.
I've had to leave games midway because my wife needed help with the kids because they woke up etc. Times like that, I didn't know how long I'd be with them so I'd just switch off my game - I would have been happy to take the L as well as the loss in points. It's not my opponent's problem that I have a family etc. They should have been awarded for staying in the match.
I dont give two shits if they loose half the player base but this plugging situation is getting out of hand fr why can't they implement a rage quit penalty system like alot of games do this heck f2p games do it like is this that difficult to do 🤷🏾 P.s Congrats on getting paul to emperor mine is still king thx to the pluggers
If they died in the middle of a combo, I keep doing the combo. If they died at the end of it, I do some random arm low move (d1+2 with kazuya or db2 with eddy) and hit them while they're down. It feels satisfying and I don't think it's offensive at all.
It happens to me almost every promotion match. I’m currently a tenryu so I’m not as good as you, and it still happens at this level. It sucks. I either get plugged or a god tier hwoarang that puts me in a blender.
These people a closing out of the game right before they lose causing no points to be gained or lost from the match. This is commonly called plugging. It is a bannable offence but the enforcement of it is less than stellar.
It's very frustrating to play a fighting game honestly where ppl only rematch if they lose. Makes it even harder for honest players to be at the level they're supposed to be. It should automatically be a 3 set match in ranked. Rematch should only be an option in casual matches.
It is frustrating but there is a report button in the game so make sure to report all pluggers. It should be under Profile in the same lobby that lets you return to standby
That’s why I don’t care about my rank, I know my level and are more aware of getting better than just winning. So when someone plugged it’s just a sign of my dominance and I take this as a compliment 😄 But yeah, Banmco just spit on the face of theirs fellow players by not punishing pluggers.
The nice new feature I like is the “Disconnection Rate” shown. At least I have some chance of preventing this. Overall pluggers are idiots. Penalizing pluggers by simply charging the plugger a loss in pts/rank is the way to go. Come on Namco! So easy!
It's not that I'm defending the DVJ but if you noticed that the "Failed to establish" message immediately popped up to your game against him and I read that somewhere I just forgot, if that happens, it was really a connection/server issue and unlike when you were against Dragunov and Nina, you'll see that the game froze like in T7 for seconds then the error will appear and they said THAT was the intentional plugging. Though I understand your POV on that since you were winning when the game got disconnected.
Atleast give a cooldown for pluggning, maybe 1st 30 min then 2h then 12h etc or sth, my only fear is tekken crashes for me at times i get an error, tho its 90% of the time during loading screen for a match
your logic is amazing "punish the pluggers!!" "but this game crashes a lot c:" "please dont crash please dont crash" the only penalty for plugging should be giving the victory to the other player, just that
@@abrahamalviarez5870 i wrote thats my fear, your reading comprehension is amazing. I also never said it crashes "a lot", maybe it does for others but not for me maybe once in a while, not every session. Maybe they could give the penalty once a game has started and not if its canceled at the loading screen, or they could make their game not crash. Anyway i dunno why youre butthurt, maybe youre on your period. Plus giving the victory to the other player could invite more focus on DDOS attacks to disconnect your opponents for free wins. Its all a discussion princess, no need to get all moody and have an attitude
SF6 has a card system, my friend had a bad connection, we were playing in a lobby and it kept disconnecting mid match until it ended up banning us from online for 24 hours xD
I think the aggression in T8 promotes this stuff, because of the heat giving you so much that you can win with mashing and if you loss you just plug, its a free ride for pluggers.
I think it should set punishments based on disconnection rate so that way it doesn't harm people who disconnect unintentionally while also not rewarding boosters
Wow some "people" are indeed cancerous. I'm guessing they expect that they can always win, which is wrong for everyone. Even the top 0.01% players lose. I lose all the time in video games. I myself enjoy hard games. I play souls games all the time. Dark souls, nioh, sekiro, elden ring, now I also play remnant 2 which is a challenging game. And these games require way more work, intelligence and skill to overcome. I died dozens of times to various bosses. I got frustrated. Angry. Mad. I broke my controllers. But eventually I did work on myself, and I don't do this anymore. I embrace the loss. I seek it. Because when I lose, I've got room for improvement. And improvement is something I'm always seeking. These people are unworthy and this game should have way more strict ways to penalize these idiots for plugging out. I'm just guessing not enough people care to report this behavior more often to the devs so that they change something, or maybe devs just don't care. It's bad you have to go through this and waste time, but maybe next time if you see this behavior you could just leave, yourself. Enjoy the game 💪
did I end up telling you that I was on promotion for tekken king 6 different times and got plugged on? and that the same thing happened to m for emperor 3 times? I literally stopped playing ranked because of it
@@superblack898I mean to be fair it’s pretty stupid to ki charge before the last round if you don’t want to be plugged on by people cuz they’ll see it as “oh you wanna be toxic? Then I’ll be toxic right back.” That’s how I think they see it atleast
it doesnt even get me angry at those randos, its tekken 8 to blame for not setting any measurements to deal with this, let alone having one that rewards it. you cant expect people to behave, rules should exist thats why characters have healthbars instead of just deciding who played the match better in a post game chat.
People in FGC sometimes get enslaved by such dumb hidden rules it makes me think that the average age of the community is like 12 to 15 yo, it's just a game move on and worst than that it's a match worth nothing, no money on the line, no trophy, no spot in a great competition. Never seem a community so easily triggered.
It's something people like to work towards. It's a title that you worked towards and earned. Just because it's dumb to you doesn't mean it is for everyone else. You put your heart in soul into learning a character, and then you finally get to the promotion match after putting in all that time and effort, just for someone to plug on you. That is so annoying.
Plug or maybe just a Polaris crash? Into the Stratosphere and Fallen Destiny both have crashing issues, way more on PC though, but it couldve been just that. Nobody plugs when they have that much HP left.
as we clearly saw, not really. character choice is up to the player, you think he's that broken? play them, you dont have as much fun with them? dont play them. we should be more worried and understanding of how problematic pluggers are for ranked, on top of the stress and focus that usually goes with those matches.
150 ping 3frame delay can be very frustrating. Especially when he cant punish unsafe moves because of how bad the input delay is. It's like giving out rank points without earning it. I often quit if the opponent doesnt agree to a draw because of how unplayable the game is. My sign that I don't wanna play you/please draw is crouch down twice, stand still, and walk backwards lol... I don't blame the dude. Sorry about your promo.
Bullshit. All of them had plenty of time to quit, including when they were winning. But they only quit when he was about to land the winning blow? There's no excuse, they're soft little bitches that can't handle a loss.
They only way to deal with pluggers. It's to implement “Low Priority Matches”. Just like Dota 2, punish 5-10 games against pluggers to be able touch back on normal ranked match.
for everyone playing since bamco wont really give a punishment for rage quitting just a tip if you meet someone trolling or wanting to plug you troll back at them you either troll them and win or suck it up and just play another game, it doesnt matter if they plug what matters is you trolled them
Magic mirror helps prevent tilting imo, but yea, pluggers need to be the only ones getting punished, not both players smfh. Also, that Nina's name was kind of a dead give away.
I got a lot of Heavy Hitters on my Friends List People Rage Quit on us all the time in Player Match. Its so normal that we have to play like we at a lower Level so that People will Play with Us. Its Bad I know As for me coming from Xbox Im Legendary when i get seen Im respected by Many feared by None. 😂😅😅
Plugging is annoying and a legitimate problem, but ultimately points and making sure your opponents health bar hits zero doesnt make or break the whole game. Better to take the technical win and not get caught up on the opponents BM for your own mental. If them plugging gets you to quit then they won lol. Better to force those players to quit out so much they wont relaunch than to let it affect you. Grind for improvement gamers, not points. Otherwise your mindset isnt that far off the pluggers
It's not their fault, that's just how people are, if there is a chance to cheat some people will do so. It's the devs fault for allowing it to happen in the first place.
Tekken 5 D.R. You would get penalized 1000 points for plugging. My power went out one and it counted me for plugging. I was pissed lost my Rajin rank for it.
my humble opinion is simply this: people like this will continue to be around wither we like it or not, so I only want to be rewarded the win and the points if they quit, this way they will feel stupid for leaving because they just gave you the win, which is perfect for idiots like that :) at least i don't have to deal with loss of time points and not playing with real players that i actually want a challenge from to become better.
Simple solution demote the plugger after its confirmed intentional. Like not on first offense due to game crashes and such. On a promo match no matter a game crash or not give the promo. These were intentional 💯
when playin tekken ranked im like doin a prayer every time im on a promo not to win but to at least dont get RQ right in my face...thats crazy even after all this time still no punishment for those behaviors...wtf are they doin come on...how many of us just closed the game because of that you doin well and some fucker who just cant take a loss destroys all of your effort for nothing..
i assume this happens to known players more often then to unknown players .. since tekken 8 is out i have been raged quit on only 3 times in the 22 - 26 dan area maybe the fact that the person knows he will be featuerd in a video for that kind of action makes him do that in the first place .. and since you can change your name at every given time there is also no real risk for the walk of shame .. ibut still it was way worse in T7 or T6 in my oppinion.
Look man These people are cancer yes But they're the real winners As what you said they fight you multiple times and sometimes they win And when you start to win they rage quit Or calmly just plug like they never had that match in the first place So yeah , in game you won but mentally they won So they're the actual winners That's why I always call myself a loser even when I get my Fuji back after a demotion I'm still a loser
Not just the unpluggers, let’s mention the other toxic types of players: The ones playing easy and cheep characters and the ones playing to not lose, not to win. This player who was back dashing at the end is an example. Anyway I appreciate your guts for rematching despite the connection or the opponents
people are allowed to play whichever character they want, however they want, cheese or gimmicks aside, it will never be toxic. whats toxic however is having a terrible view or attitude towards a player based on just their character choice or playstyle. you can choose to not rematch someone without being hateful towards them. how is holding back after a match toxic again?
@@pyropeshichidan8141you could win against these MFS with anyone and because you won people would say its toxic. Just dont take those types of things in particular to heart
Easy and cheap characters... Aight, you want toxic? If that's something you actually believe you need to stop playing ranked in fighting games. If you wanna play casual and have this mindset then that's fine, but the point of ranked is both 'to not lose', and 'to win'. They're the same thing and trying to differentiate it, implying that playing defensive is toxic is one hella stupid take ESPECIALLY in Tekken 8, a game where defensive play is much weaker than running your offense. So if you're losing to people who are playing defensively in Tekken 8 and have the gall to complain about it then I got news for you: You're trash and you're the problem. Reason being is that the only reason you could possibly have an opinion this dumb is that you believe you deserve to win every game when you don't know how to bait launch punishable normals, how to whiff punish, to apply pressure with plus frames and frametrap in a game that makes that the single most viable means to play the game. Even if this was Tekken 7 where movement and defense are oppressive, where footsies and spacing is the single most important means of succeeding this opinion would still be a prime example of scrub mentality. Buuut this is Tekken 8, a game that lets you steal turns constantly with heat engagers and safe on block half screen power crushes that are ALSO heat engagers, a game that lets you apply massive amounts of plus frames on block which allows almost every character to have tons of frametraps and 50/50s, the game has chip damage, has heat dash for guaranteed 50/50s on most characters. Do I have to go on? The ball is in your court if people are holding back, Tekken 8 is designed for lil baby rage mashers like you to have the advantage and somehow you still insist on complaining instead of learning. In short: My guy if someone holding back is 'toxic' go play dropkick or idk fucking Mario Party.
