The protozoan was a harmless background creature that was seen floating around the healing pool on xen, and a few other maps, however it was both invincible and ignored you. Also, boids from original half life can only be spawned via console.
the xen turret exists too, they shoot some zaps at you but are not 3d modelled npcs, are just static map brush entities. plus the super houndeye from black mesa should be charging at you, not sonic booming the bm controller you have is a buffed version, not the common one. the gargantua can only be damage by explosive and some energy weapons
@@pyroskeletonstudios4522 one of the main reasons he was cut was because his slam attack was originally supposed to make gordon drop his weapon or possibly even make his glasses fall resulting in blurry vision but one thing: that's not possible in the goldsrc engine he was also to make sounds of screeching nails when he moved due to his spurs and would alert the player of nearby enemies via a loud screech he has ai in sven coop and very gladly doesn't have his original intended concept but he has his attacks programmed and is more hostile instead of being the scavenger it was supposed to be in half life you can get a copy of half life either from steam or steamunlocked and download the half life model viewer and view his model(yes it's sfw) the path to his model in the files is valve\models\friendly.mdl
"The bottom of this Headcrab is...suggestive." Half life concept art can agree with you there buddy. Also, if you want to: you can download that HL2 weapon buff to make your HL2 weapons stronger. The Garg actually can die from explosives, also, didn't you fight it in your last Black Mesa video?
Patrick Starnos Please be specific, because I don't want to assume. I'm guessing the HL2 Weapon Buff? Because it's on the Steam workshop. But if you're talking about the video where he fights the Garg, then just search up his other Black Mesa Videos.
Certain weapons have their certain properties and roles in battle. The crossbow is a anti armor weapon because it heats the arrow therefore penetrating armor so it’s effective against armored targets and the MG4 is meant for fleshy targets basically a target that doesn’t have any armor and explosives are effective for armor piercing and crowd control. If you can master these weapons that have that role and one that is efficient and effective for the job. Any battle can be won.
you probably know this by now, but the pink npcs (except for the explosive houndeye) arent supposed to be pink. theyre pink because there's something wrong with their reflections. it could probably be fixed by building cubemaps during runtime.
The Nihilanth getting stronger in BLACKMESA is a serious understatement. If HL1 was hard....the BM version is apocalyptic. Now... he can probably wipe the combine outta Earth single handedly if left alive.
and i forgot the half life 1 nihilanths health is bugged so when you look at it with the NPC health bar it will show the health of the previous npc that you looked at but i think he has normaly 800hp
Black mesa xen introduced almost a whole different story in xen, and made it longer! with more custom npcs, i really like it and perhaps you should play it sometime?
hey necros where have you been i thought that was the end of your series of this channel well now im wrong X3 welcome back to a NEW Year of modding. also realise i put a mod you can try in the fireworks mod you know TOM KENNY XD
There is another xen creature that is missing there. Is the Beneath, its like a Barnacle, but its underwater instead of high places, you can find them in some lakes on Xen
I think your missin some textures on that pink controller. Btw can you play Black Mesa if possible? A lot of changes were made when you actually compare it to the original, Like the Nihilanth has a lot more abilities and no more to that space jumping and teleporting in his boss fight.
@@gmodfun2988 I thought so too, but really don't. In Half-Life 1, if you look closely at the small white gonarchs, you can see a small egg that the headcrads do not have
hey dude, when you showcase mods,i suggest having activated the mod that gives you the weapon: "The Sexyness" wich is an admin gun,it has two fire modalities,a "regular" gun fire, and for the alt fire it makes explosions, you can do a will it survive aswell with it
And Garg Ragdoll Still Weird Their Visible, But No Visible Because Model Their Upside, And Nihilant Ragdoll Still Weird Sit Down Here And Main Nihilant Body Upside I Guest
The Protozoans and Ceiling Crystals were in the original Half Life but extremely rare. In Half Life 1, while Gordon is teleporting around right at the beginning of the resonance cascade, a Protozoan can be seen in Xen together with two Bullsquids drinking from a healing pool. The Protozoan is seen again in the exact same place in Opposing Force if the player uses the teleporter gun's secondary action in the right area. Back then Protozoans were invincible, made no sound and didn't follow you like they do in Black Mesa. As for the Ceiling Crystals, only four of them are seen dotted around the first island in the Xen chapter of Half Life 1. However they were originally purple and took a lot more hits to take down. (edit note: it's interesting how the Half Life 2 Crossbow randomly damages the Black Mesa Gargantua, I thought they could only be harmed by explosions or high energy weapons.
>Exploding Houndeye does almost 70 damage, taking his health from 153 to 85. They are also found in packs. “It doesn’t do too much damage so I wouldn’t worry about it guys.
The gargantula in the original Half Life 1 could die from high demage delt to it's eye. When you were out of a certain part of it's area somehow the eye would stop glowing red and it would become invincible untill you would enter the part of the area where you should be for the eye to be triggered (weird.. and at least it happend to me whenever I tried to camp it out from a far and do not ask how. I don't know.) BUT if the eye is glowing red, shoot it.... preferably with a mounted on a gun granade launcher. OR rockets. Or just use some other explosives. Or keep shooting it into it's eye when it glows red. Otherwise you'll end up watsing more ammo if not all of it. (yes explosives kill it faster)
i dont understand why the creator of GMOD Nihilanth uses the gray crystal from Gonarch's Lair for shield generator instead the blue shielded lamp crystal and yellow crystal coming from below
