You don't need to fuse a zonai device to things for them to appear in autobuild. Use an apple or rock salt. Then you can drop an apple and autobuild the thing you want and then recover your apple

The 3 wheeler with spikes can also be found doing the Yiga questline to obtain earthquake. Just tell the Yiga that his 3 wheeler is better than the tank in the same room and he gives it to you for 99 rupies! No need to deal with the depths. Also the tank in that same room, just grab a wheel from the room and finish it. You will get yelled at by the Yiga building it but it will be in your autobuild for free

There’s a build site directly east of the typho ruins tower with metal pieces you can use instead of trekking through the depths.

You can buy the vehicle at 5:05 in the yiga hideout for 999 rupees from a yiga member, just so you know. And also, those metal plates at 7:22. If you just explored a tiny bit more, you would have discovered that there are 4 small metal plates individually on the round platform just a few meters south that you see on your minimap there, as well as 2 of the largest rectangular metal plates, similar to on the build you were standing on at 1:25.

The metal pieces are all over Death Mountain as well. There are also stone pieces at Death Mountain. On your comment about the vehicles, if you become a blade master for the Yiga, you get them for half price.

Use an extended sprint with a metal plate on ht, at the back corner of your device, where it will close on activation and block the gap with the plate, effectively making a door

Can that tank withstand boulder attacks from the battle talus? I've not seen much footage but a couple I saw a boulder thrown by a battle talus causes entire sections of the vehicle to disappear wherever the boulder hit.

You can also attach anything to these objects (apples, fruits etc) to put them in auto build. Save you some zonai devices and zonaite :)

if you want the base to the first vehicle with nothing on it you can go down to the depth using the hole outside the yiga clan headquarts its the same hole the yiga leader fell down in botw

Aren't there a lot of metal plates at death mountain? (Outside of YunoboCo HQ for example) I mean you're totally right that you can get a cheaper combo version of the piece this way, but I'm just saying you can still build with metal parts. Edit: Another note, I just tested it and it seems electricity conducts through meta so electric enemies will be quite dangerous for your tank probably.

What's the advantage of these plates over the stone plates in the build stops in the depths? It seems they're both invulnerable but the stone plates can't get electrified.

I tend to agree, I believe the stone is heavier which makes it harder for the zonai devices to efficiently move them around. An entire tank built out of stone will function but check the wheels, often times they will sink all the way to the ground and have no give or suspension because of how heavy the stone is. Weight matters even more with flying vehicles or hoverstone-powered air platforms, and stone is a particularly bad material for such airborne builds. Metal ends up being lighter just because it is thinner and has more gaps (see the part at 6:58). Also, sometimes you want parts of your vehicle to be electrified, just not the part Link is standing in. Or, you can find the lightning helm and be invulnerable to electricity, and then your electrified spiked metal vehicle is hugely damaging to most monsters but doesn't harm link, and you can electrify most of the vehicle with a single zonai shock emitter instead of lots of them. Also there are builds involving the zonai shrine battery, shrine motor, and shrine fan, which are powered by electricity and discharge electricity, and these plates help conduct that. You either be lightningproof or you have a stone or sled/cart cockpit where you don't get zapped and use these pieces for the chassis. Or you have a wooden cockpit, but then you worry about fire.

You don't need to use a Zonai device. Just use anything from your inventory. Like a BrightBloom seed.

I love the cage item. For 3 zonaite, you can get a box that protects you from almost any attack. I like to electrify it with monster truck tires, use my shockproof armor and run fools over lol

There is another way to get those parts of you don't want go into the depths. After you collect all the Yiga outfit you can infiltrate the Yiga command center, plus you get a shrine, new fighting technique "Earthquake manual". This allows you to send a earthquake shockwave without holding a weapon. 😂😢😢

This build costs too much zonaite to be worth it. You can build a couple of homing carts with construct heads and frost/flame emitters, etc for the same price and do more damage without despawn

Not EASILY, but yes you can. As long as something is fuse-able that is. There are weapon and shield stands in the game at a certain point, and though its SUPER limited, you can technically store whatever parts you want on weapons or shields. OR you can save bundles of things in autobuild like he does here, but even then you are still super limited to only 8 total saveable 'favorites' slots, so it requires a bit of effort to make it work.

IMHO, devices like this really aren't that useful as the enemies get harder. I think it is better to learn combat techniques such as dodge and parry. If you're looking for an easy way to take out an encampment, muddlebuds are your friend. If you really want a turret, loading it up on a stake and placing it up high on a cliff or building is much cheaper, uses less battery, and many enemies won't be able to despawn it. Just activate it with an arrow and lure the enemies in.
