MTB vlog from a few "enduro" trails at Thornielee near Innerleithen in Scotland's Tweed Valley. Thornielee is known for steep techy trails! In this MTB vlog we are sharing some of our "warm up trails" and when we can we will film a part 2 on the proper steep mtb trails!
Trails we rode are:
Turbo Ferret
Slabs and Dabs (top)
Low Definition
The snow on the climbs made it even more difficult than usual so less was more on this ride! The climbs at Thornielee are normally pretty tough... it's a straight up straight down kind of place! A fair bit of the Tweed Valley has tough climbs as there are lots of steep trails. The first half is fireroad then it turns into singletrack which the fittest can pedal up otherwise you're pushing that last bit! It's usually pretty wet but the trails actually run really well in these conditions - probably because they drain so well being steep.
If you're looking for an introduction to this Tweed Valley riding spot and not wanting to hit the proper steep stuff then I'd recommend the trails in this video plus High Definition (everyone's favourite!).
Look out for our part 2 video on the steeper stuff at some point ;)
