I am currently reading Atomic Habits and it already made an impact because I never thought about habits from that kind of perspective and I’m not even 30% in. I’m currently building two habits (that I started before the book); daily yoga and meditation and so far I’ve been consistent with yoga for 25 days straight..not a lot but it’s my biggest day-to-day streak. I’m a big reader so thank you for these recommendations.

I have read the Goggins book, got some important parts from atomic habits and read the Steven Pressfield books (war of art, do the work) but I still struggle with focus and getting my ass up. Say, I know all the concepts and how to beat procrastination but I don´t do anything against it. It´s like I´m always falling back in old patterns (procrastination). Hope you all having a good day. Thanks

@@gabrielmza7390 Hey thanks for your message. It´s been a while since I postet that comment. For three weeks now, I get up at 05:30 in the morning, write three pages of random thoughts and go for a walk with my flatemate. Thats a good start for the day and I really start to enjoy it. Still not easy to focus all day but I also learned I can to things in the morning and be more chilled the rest of the day. I think a big part is (beneath knowing all the strategies and tricks) to always notice when you´re falling out of your routines and to notice it earlier every time :) It´s not about changing yourself in two days... it´s always a little bit of work to be aware of that. every day. Little notes and reminders on your desk can help :) So that´s enough from me. Greetings from nuremberg, GER

I was listening to a podcast that said, “it’s important to live life by design rather than emotion. Basically, sticking to a routine is what allows us to be the healthiest version of ourselves (especially when you're fighting these demons ex. OCD for me). I’ve had to overhaul how I approach studying, working out and taking care of my brain (journaling) by practising mediocre consistency. Now I try to put in consistent 50-60% effort into my studying, exercise and journaling habit - to make sure I do it I began recording it and posting it on YT. Because historically I have a habit of going too hard, not being able to sustain the Herculean effort, giving up and hating myself. So now I’m trying to give a small, consistent mediocre effort everyday. And its crazy how it adds up.

Today I'm getting the audible free trial for the first time to listen to something new other than motivational life stories in the background of my workflow. One day of listening to these videos straight makes me question the intelligence I had prior to today, and now I've been studying 8 hours for today, which is the first day I'm using to attempt and reach 13 hours and beat you at studying. (After I'm done with 13 hours, I'll try and go for 15 hours to beat my mum's workflow). Edit: Also, the reason why I'm getting these books instead of listening to these videos in the background is that everything has become common sense to me after a whole day of listening to it, and my identity has taken a complete 180!! So I'm trying to see what the limit is to my philosophy, THANK YOU FOR THE RECOMMENDATIONS!!
