What game do you think deserves a remake the most?

If they remake AC they should do Altair’s whole adult life rather than just up to his fight with Al Maulin.

Ac4 is my favourite game of all time, as someone whos played Ghost, The last of us, RDR2 etc.. This game’s story and magical vibe just gets me everytime especially that end. This and AC2 are solid 9.5/10 games. Now im scared ubisoft may tarnish Black flag’s reputation with making a unicorn jackdaw and flaming sword for edward. Please stay true to Black flag’s essence Ubisoft.

As much as I would love an AC 1 remake, I don't think Ubisoft can do it whilst preserving what made it special. Not only has Ubisoft become, as you mentioned, a trend chaser but they also tend to misunderstand and misinterpret their audience, as you've also mentioned before. AC 1 is a weird game (in a good way). It's quirky, raw and yet beautiful. The subtleness of being in a simulation, the modern day sci-fi, the conspiracies, the unique depth of it's gameplay mechanics, even if they weren't intended (vaulting, shock and awe combat). I'm just afraid Ubisoft won't do it justice.

The two main games for me that need a remake are definitely AC1 & AC2. I say AC2 because gameplay wise, it's not good at all in 2024. Parkour in AC2, whilst it is good, is often clunky. I remember during those tomb missions, ezio would often randomly jump off ledges, face the wrong direction, and just not respond for certain actions. There was also a lack of being able to lock on to specific enemies which is so fundemental in a game like that, and also combat needs a remake massively. Heck, since it's a remake. I'd love to see more Maria, Mario & Giovanni. But do I trust Ubisoft to make a good remake for AC2? HELL NO. So thinking of it now, maybe it's best they don't touch it.

Honestly I would love to see ac rogue be reimagined, it deserves a second chance at glory.

A AC Black Flag remake should include its own version of Ezio's Family in the soundtrack. Its criminal that one of the best games in the series didn't include it

I have a feeling Ubisoft have abandoned AC1. Like they want nothing to do with it. Possibly because of their falling out with Patrice Désilets. If they ever remake AC1 they'll have to remake classic parkour. The AC1 combat was pretty good too, my favourite in the series. If they remade it with these features refined then I would buy.

I just subscribed and I really enjoyed the video, your points about AC1 being remade hit the nail on the head and I love how you are the only one who did not say it was repetitive, even though from a general perspective where we look at just results and events it can be said that it is, but I feel like most people fail to notice the differences in each assassination mission and how the target is taken care of, even the progression of Altair's beliefs his relationship with Malik and his questioning of the reasons behind killing the targets is something people forget, this is something modern gameplay mechanics and graphical fidelity can help expand upon and really emphasize by giving more options for missions that weave the narrative more effectively. The only hope is that if they end up remaking this, they do not try to overdo things, ignore lore, or change too much of what the game stands for, it should still be a simple city game with a few more mechanics and plot points than it originally had, to show us how badass and complex Altair really was.

If I remember correctly the DLC for Black Flag was at first supposed to be something more akin to fantasy, with krakens and stuff, similar to the AC3's DLC. I hope the remake won't be like they did with AC3, just light, and something more like what From Soft did with Demon's Souls or at most like Resident Evil.

if ac1 ever gets a remake they should add altairs stories from revelations as dlc so we can get a beginning to end story with more things filled in or even dlc showing altair and his sons fighting the mongols

I agree 100%. But in my opinion, a remake of AC2 would make the craziest game of all time. The artistic direction is what makes AC2 my favorite game, and I truly believe it deserves a remake, with good graphics, smooth animations, etc.

Honestly I never wished for a remake or remastered of an assassin's creed game. My whishes always fell on two categories, 1- A AC game set in X (for a long time it was Japan or Portugal (Which I never truly thought would happened but wishing is free) 2- Ezio treatment ( one of the biggest thing I loved about AC2 was how many years you spent with Ezio, around 20 year if I remember right, more protagonists need that, cough.. cough Connor) That said completly agree with your opinion on a AC1 remake

AC 1 and AC Rogue feel like the main games most deserving of a remake. AC 1 is the oldest game in the series so it is the most limited such as having no customization, not much side content, and having a repetitive mission structure. Also it never got a remaster like the Ezio Trilogy, 3, and Rogue got and it is over 16 years old so it deserves some special treatment. AC Rogue got the shortest development time in the series so it ended up borrowing from Black Flag and shortening its story plus it had to compete with Unity but wasn’t a part of the next gen consoles at the time.

I truly believe if Unity was seriously remade (with the quality that no game has gotten at launch for the last years), of course it's graphics wouldn't change much, because they're already as perfect and detailed as it can get, but there would be no other parkour game to top it for years and years to come. The separate buttons for upwards and downwards movement is so genius to this day, and if they went further with this "separate buttons for different mechanics" idea, and polished the contextual automation for movement priorities, Unity would be the undisputed king of parkour. And if they remade the story and polished character development and some other parts of the game, I wouldn't hesistate to call it the best assassin's creed content that has ever been.

AC1 Remake should be a grand epic of the life of Altaïr, I wish Ubi would make this gigantic tale that accompanies him throughout his entire life, not *only* the events of the original game. Hell, I guess this doesn't even classify as a remake, but goddamn, I feel like Ubi sits on a ton of gold but would rather keep mining copper.

Replayed Black Flag at the beginning of 2023 and the game was fine, it aged well, didn't need a remake. Only annoying thing was them selling DLCs despite knowing they don't work, plus they broke the game and made it unable to go to full screen.

If AC1 would ever be remade I would LOVE to see the side content beeing meaningfully connected to the 10 Assassinations. Side content that either characterises the world, lets you learn/upgrade your skills in parkour & stealth (not with perks but through gameplay).

Hot take : Every assassins creed games deserve a remake the amount of cut content or idea that has been founds in leaks or files is just outstanding . Some games were completely different in the beginning or some games ac revolution had so much cut content due the short amount of time

I would dream about AC I remake but honestly.. Modern ubisoft just doesn't have devs who understand this game as much as the first crew did. Therefore, I really doubt that this remake will be anything even close to something this game deserves.

I don't think current Ubi is capable to remake AC1, but if by some miracle it's not a total disaster, I would like a freerun down button just so you can vault anytime. Someone released a mod that made this possible as recently as this month, and it's a sublime experience.

The fact Black Flag is what they're choosing for a remake makes me lose all hope for a remake of AC1. Instead I hope that another developer comes along and creates a proper spiritual successor to AC, an AC-like, similar to how studios take inspiration from From Software to create soulslikes. I truly believe a small development studio could capture the spirit of being an assassin better than Ubisoft themselves at this point, especially if they actually understand why people are fans of Assassin's Creed.

I love Unity so much because it’s the second ac game I played and it really got me deeper into the life after only playing black flag before, which I got for the pirates. I’m hoping that if Unity gets a remaster, Arno might finally live up to his full potential and get his own trilogy with more napoleon, artifacts, cities, and character development. And then maybe the almost guaranteed success of those sequels would prompt Ubisoft to continue bayek’s story as well

I literally have no close friends that are as invested as me and you into AC, when I sit down to watch a video of yours, it's like the world stops circling around and the only important topic now is AC's state. I can't believe how the f they messed this beauty up and how can people tolerate what's happening at ubisoft really. How can they say that they're doing anything worthy at all these days? (tbf the new pop game is not trash but lacks the depth and ambition totally but still, it works as intended at the least). I don't really know if it'd be okay with me to see an AC1 Remake. The classic feeling would totally be lost, for me anyways. Especially if they don't use the exact same parkour system and such, idk. Also, I like to play on older hardwares from time to time. (Yes, I play the original Ezio games on PS3 as well, not the remastered collection (the character models look omega strange in that), and the PC ports, especially the old ones are that greatly done. ) But I absolutely love the idea of incorporating the other Altair contents into an AC1, Director Cut? About Unity, yeah. Basically I'd say do it again by copying the beginning and then forging it even more without rushing it to release and then it'll be good. I think it'd be simply harder to modify the existing software just bc how messep up it is.

I need an desmond saga remake, from ac 1 all the way to 3, but specially the ezio triology. Besides syndicate, brotherhood is my favourite ac, but I'd love to see a remake made for ps5/series x/s. It still holds up with great gameplay to this day, but still I'd love it

I agree with Assassin's Creed 1 needing a remake, but not remaster for AC: Unity. Another remake for a Assassin's Creed game I think is needed would be Assassin's Creed 3. Why? I would make that game less hand holding than it should be more freely with some mission structure. Redo the battle of Bunkers Hill to allow Connor to actually fight in it like a 1 man army then CHASE John Pitcairn to assassinate him, on horse or in a open field with red coats corpse, or like an only black box assassinate mission.

Think the first two games need a remake, however I’d save it. Wait until plans if s full rebooting, then use it as a springboard.

AC1 definitely needs a remake. It's a great game and i still think its breathtaking to look at it. The cities still look fun and gameplay qhile may be dated to some, I had a blast with it. I do think better side content, and extending Altair's story past the original and maybe up to his journey abd fight against the Mongolians. As for a remaster of AC Unity, I am completely down for it. Some think I hate Unity just because I prefer newer and older games in the franchise over it. I do agree though with everything you said.

I think Ubisoft saw that Skull and Bones was going to be a disaster, that thwy decided to not let the assets to waste, so remake the game that initially inspired it.

AC4 is absolutely my favorite AC game and one of my favorite games of all time, the only one I’ve 100% completed. But as much as I would love a remake of it, and I am glad they are, I think I would enjoy an AC1 remake and I’ve not even played it yet. I’ve heard that it’s kinda clunky and repetitive and a remake could solve some of that and I would absolutely love that but you make a damned good point in the fact they’re playing into the historical fantasy even still as opposed to the assassin fantasy which is certainly a shame. I just hope they keep the story and the roots of the game, but truthfully a remaster of AC4 would have been better

I actually think it should be the other way. Unity needs major changes to its parkour system to be as consistent as the devs wanted it to be and AC1 just needs minor changes. I’d say a consistent input for the vault, better graphics, and better audio would make for a perfect remaster of AC1 whereas Unity needs fundamental changes to parkour (at least ACU fixes level but hopefully much more), better crowds, and much better detection systems.

Unity doesn’t need a remake but needs a sequel with Shay and Connor the usual ac fan game ya know

i'd most of all want a series remake... a start over. because ubi obviously want to include more fantastical elements and can't keep a straight story, they're dubbeling back on everything narrative related all the time. i'd be ok with the magic if they'd just have a ruleset they can actually follow so that we can enjoy a consistent world and story.

It's the game that has zero chance of microtransactions and dlc so it's not that profitable for them although it would be for the consumer. I think a remake would be wonderful for Black Flag. It's a very buggy game to this day, and its multiplayer would be fantastic to play with modern graphics and better stealth mechanics. But yeah, it's by far the least deserving of the old titles. AC1 and AC2 particularly are the more deserving titles of the remake treatment by far

I think ac 1 would be top 3 Ubisoft games with current graphics, audio and (unpopular opinion) gameplay. Same with 2, bh and revelations. If they're gonna remaster/remake anything i think the first 4 need it the most because even though it's loved, its outdated. Mirage finally feels like playing as an assassin and i think the only one's that could support this style of ac gameplay is the first 4. If they're gonna remake anything it should be those 4, But not do the scummy shit like rockstar did with the trilogy.

1 doesn't need a remake as much as the base game the story sure mirage is literally a call back to 1. unity is so sucked by their fans a remaster would be nice but blackflag remake serves all fans

I couldn't disagree more. AC 1 is only more popular than Rogue, Syndicate, and Mirage, that came out 4 months ago. Altair's story being on the same level as Ezio is your personal bias, there's very few people who agree with that. As for the graphical fidelity, Black Flag is 11 years old, and AC 1 is 17 years old. They're closer to one another than they are to newer games. As a fan, I'd rather have a Black Flag remake because it was a much better game than AC 1. From a business perspective, this isn't even up for debate, Black Flag is the best selling AC.

Black Flag remake is great move from Ubisoft perspective. AC 1 remake and remaster of AC Unity for example are things that only matter for AC community. We have to admit that we are not big group and we don't generate a lot of money. The truth is Black Flag was that huge because it was about pirates and Ubisoft felt a huge doze of money by making RPG games even if AC fans were upset about bad parkour or about that 2 last RPGs were not even about assassins. Mirage is only cheap expansion made on Valhalla success, not really true game for fans. Now Ubisoft made game about pirates again. They just want to farm money on Black Flag remake till topic if still hot and people want pirates. Games with AC logo now are made for other people, not us and logo is "just to make sure these few stupid AC fanboys will buy it anyway"

The parkour in Unity is absolute garbage. The most buggy, unstable, clunk, and irritating parkour. The game also isn't very buggy at all, besides the parkour.
