Thank you for showing the trim wrings. I wrapped all the chrome trim in gloss black and the trim rings in matte black but we didn’t know if they pop out like the rest of the Jeeps! Great video and thank you for sharing the part number on the oem rings too.
JB, you did a phenomenal job on the rims and grill. Honestly, I loathe blackout editions because there's no contrast anywhere on the vehicle. With blackout, my eyes are constantly assaulted by darkness, and they struggle for symmetry. Cars need a sweet balance of black, aluminum, and chrome. I never settle on a single color/aesthetic.👍🏽
FWIW, the roof rails are among the hardest pieces to “de-chrome” because you have to drop the headliner inside. I’ve got a 23 Series 3 Wagoneer and am definitely looking at doing the chrome delete on at least the rings. Probably PPF on front end, too. Nice rig and thanks for the insights.
My boss bought a 2024 Grand Wagoneer Series 3 and it is breathtaking inside and out. Our CFO bought a 2023 Grand Wagoneer Series 2 last year with the Carbide package (blackout). Doesn't have the classy look of the Grand Wagoneer with the bright package.
Those rims look tight! And I like what you did with the grill. I agree with you that it would take a lot to black it out completely and you will break some of the trim pieces. Great look.
I know people will give you crap about it, but it is truly amazing the difference a wheel swap can do, even with a OEM set. This looks GREAT! I'd also submit that the Nitto Terra Grappler or Falken Wildpeak tires would look really good over the factory tire and wouldn't be much more noisy(but fuel econ...🥴😕)
I’m really happy with the transformation, I really was pushing her to get a 7 passenger GCL Overland but when she wanted the Wagoneer, I started searching because I didn’t like the way it looked. If we are able to keep this plus the 2 trucks I’m getting this year, I may add some Nitto tires for her because the wheels are going to get curbed if I don’t 👍🏾
I like the chrome around the 7 vents in front the grille. I can quickly tell it's a Jeep this way. If it all blacked out I can't see the 7 vents anymore. I would prefer no blackout.
Absolutely, I think the Wagoneer will be reliable once they do the update but that Hurricane engine is unproven but who knows, maybe Stellantis with surprise us 👍🏾
💯 in the past I would buy aftermarket wheels and without fail, ride quality would go down and I could never get tires perfectly balanced… if I had a show car, sure but for my daily drivers I need them close to stock form as possible 👍🏾
Where are the best places for aftermarket upgrades. I just got the wife a 22 Wagoneer S3, and it's got all the bells, whistles, and upgrades, but her favorite colors are diamond and sapphire, so I'm looking to do calipers and a few other things
Hey man! It looks great. I was wondering if youd be able to share the links or if you did let me know where they might be? Looking to do the exact same thing!
hey JB nice work !! want to ask a question have you thought about the screens on the second raw for the kids? did you find any? I got 2022 Wagoneer series II and am thinking about it but afraid of buying after market one and running wires will be ugly, what's your thoughts??
It looks good those rims made big difference..i wouldn't get a meatier tire but I'd change those goodyears they were trash on my ram I switched to pirelli scorpion A/S plus 3 so much better and the rim sits far into the tire
I don’t, I picked them up from my local dealer which would be easier. You could check Amazon because by now they probably have some cheaper aftermarket options
Actually it’s about the same, I tested it in my neighborhood and they both track through the snow perfectly. If we were to go to the beach, that would be a different story 👍🏾
Thanks for calling them wheels instead of rims. Actually, the rim is the outer edge of the wheel. For example, the rim of the canyon or the rim of your coffe cup. If you call them rims, then the name on you car's side window says "LaBomba".
I think it looks great. Personally I think when people go aftermarket with wheels they just ruin their vehicles. I do not like aftermarket wheels at all. I like the grille change too. At first I was like I don’t know but after you got done I think it’s an improvement. I would also take the Wagoneer badge off the front.
Yea I’ve had issues with balancing and road noise/ride takes a hit for sure! The grill is almost my favorite part, anytime I can reduce chrome, I’m happy lol 👍🏾👍🏾
I got a series 3 wagoneer (check out my channel), and i love the stock 22 inch wheels. I think i do wanna eventually upgrade them to 24 inch wheels with a respectable size tire.
@@JB_WhoWork I bought a grand wagoneer last year and looking to upgrade.. if you have the money.. it's not a waste if you enjoy it and love it.. you can say that for half the materialistic things in everybody's house... work hard play hard! ...congrats and looks great!
