It is so unfortunate I stumbled on this an year later, when I first came across a group of atheist it was around mid year 2016 two guys from KU I will never forget and me and my best friend were pretty much defending Christianity but after that debate we had a kind of chance of heart,my bestie and I went home and were like damn those guys just made wanna convert the funny thing is we actually won the argument we had killer points and stuff but after we sat down and thought about it long and hard it was clear they made more sense, I can not speak for my best friend no, but I can speak for myself. I have since then moved from Kenya to another country and I get her a point. The unfortunate part about it is the people who call themselves religious they are the first to break the rules and laws in their holy books I speak this from experience. Another sad fact is we are so confided to the so called religions that we tend to suffer for it the biggest and most common of all cases is our dear religious leaders their lavish lifestyles and their poor congregation. I grew up with a dad who was a pastor his example alone was enough to create an atheist in but you see with kind of society we have it makes IMMORAL if you do not belief in God I could go on all day but I will stop at this we need as community to think out of the box the box called religion we need more minds like this big up to this lady.

We are allowed to criticise a politician, a government, doctor or even jugde’s decision, but we are not allowed to ask or question religion. Religion also likes to claim morality, when it lacks one: 1. The Bible in both New Testament and the Old Testament, encourages slavery. The Bible promotes stoning of wrong doers? It also encourages that one may abandon their family members for a belief. If one could use the 10 commandments they will end up in prison. You use Bible’s geography, and you will miss 99% of the of the world. You take the Bible as history you will be bottom of the class, so is its biology. You take the Bible as the book of cosmology you will know nothing. Try and use the Bible as a medical guide and you will be sued for malpractice. That is why we have the country’s law, why do we waste time and money creating bills that gets to be passed into laws if our morality comed from the Bible? We get educated people, who spent years studying and practising law, to become our law makers. Why not just use the Bible as it is and then remove the judiciary and allow the pastors, priests, ministers and Imams to decide on cases? Double standards, the very same Christians who thinks that raising a child with critical thinking is wrong; they themselves are not even teaching their children the Bible. What they do is just to instill fear in children like, if you steal or lie God will burn you in hell. They leave the rest to the Sunday School and the church. What morals are you teaching your child by instilling fear? I teach my children the real reasons behind doing wrong, simply like: It hurts others. It may cause other people not like you. It may result in you been removed from us for a very long time, not been able to eat the way you eat at home or play with your favourite toys. But mostly it will make you a bad person, bad people are not fun and their happiness is short lived. People likes an honest person. So is anything I have pointed out here, teaching a child to be immoral?
