After working in the food industry for over 10 years (I got out due to a work injury, I’d say one of the highest costs in the restaurant besides rent, wages, other overhead….would be waste. There is so much that is thrown away or not used. I’ve had to throw away good burgers that were well done rather well or even medium. We aren’t allowed to eat them or we have to pay for them. The only place that was wonderful when it came to food for the workers was a Thai place. They fed me lunch or dinner depending on my shift ❤❤ and it would be family style.

I think the texture of the food changes how many you can eat, because it takes longer to chew. Fluffy waffles or soft tortillas require more chewing than crunchy chips or thin pancakes

For me the best pancakes are cooked in enough oil they have a dark brown ring around the edge with a noticeable crunch to it. The blond super fluffy pancakes just don't cut it. If I want something light fluffy and sweet, I'll get a glazed donut from Krispy Kreme. This is why waffles are preferred over most pancakes.

Tbh, I reheat pizza in a panini press (waffle iron would probably work too), but just sandwich two slices and you get a pizzanini

I grabbed this mod yesterday when I finally broke down and installed the ghost mod. I’m in the middle of a Turkey dinner run with all the sides and toppings offered but this makes me wanna do breakfast now. Thank goodness for the saves mod so I can jump around 😂

The cox (yes that is the proper name) doesn't shout to keep the tempo. They steer and tell the rowers what pace to go. The first rower (the one at the back of the boat) keeps the tempo and the guy behind just follows and so on

On the difference between foods in Canada and the US: there's definitely a quality difference based on tighter regulations for most food in Canada. American milk has such a strange texture. It's more watery than Canadian milk, even if you compare 2% American milk to skim Canadian milk.

My family used to have a medium sized dog named Ranger. One time while he was running loose in our yard, he ended up cornering a chicken and pinned it to the ground with one paw. He the looked back at my mother with his super happy face like "Hey! I got one! What do I do now?!" This only happened once, dogs can get used to chickens. Poodle and CCS are Hunting Dogs, they can be problematic... but trust me... Chickens can and will try to defend themselves is given the chance. Also dont be under the wrong impression. While they do eat grass and corn they are omnivorous. They can and will eat meat for the nutrients they need for heatly eggs. Just some tips from someone on a farm^^

Also don’t get chickens….. we now are dealing with a bobcat or coyote problem….we also have a wooden fence that is over 6ft

For Pancakes: • One is a flat • Two is a pound • Three is a stack • If it's a non-multiple of 3 more than 3, you add a flat or pound in front of stack (ex. "stack and a pound" for 5 Pancakes) • If it's a multiple of 3 more than 3, you add double, triple, etc. behind stack (ex. "triple stack" for 9 Pancakes) For Waffles: • A Plain Round is an Iron • A Plain Square is a Press • Two or more go by their Number (ex. "3 Iron" for 3 Round Waffles) For Sides, Dresses (Dressings) and Tops (Toppings): • Any side apart from eggs is a Winder (ex. Sorry for a second comment. My husband is GOD AWFUL at cooking. One time he made me scrambled eggs as we were packing up the car to leave for Christmas vacation. Well I didn’t get the chance to eat them and they lay forgotten on the table. A week or so later when we got home…they looked exactly the same as when he made them. He also ruined canned tomato soup. It was inedible

I am going to disagree with Gavin on his assessment of eggs Benedict or poached eggs being the most challenging breakfast foods. Making a proper, good, French omelette is easier to mess up/make wrong than either of the others
