there are lots of others keeping rome 2 alive. Curved bubbles hosts a tournament, heir of carthage did a whole campaign last year, asserror is covering cup of nations. there are 6,000 people playing rome 2 right now. Thats incredible for a 9 year old game

@@LegionOfRome I would watch a DEI tutorial on RU-vid. It makes the game alot more complex, but the battles...WOW. Night and day difference. And the unit selection is out of this world.
This siege made me cry. They had all they needed to win. All they had to do was to coordinate their attacks, if the Beserkers had rushed earlier, they would've won.
I would love to see 3v4, Attacker advantage, and see a very diverse, no spammed units, army comp. It does get boring to see a spammed army. I consider over 2 units of the same spam except tier 1, conscripts, levies and slave units are mixed in. If anyone can find or make a good tactical video, I think you would nail all levels of entertainment, detail, grit, realistic and tactics. This was a great video.
I really did enjoy this video. I’m more of a lower skilled player myself so watching others of similar skill playing makes me want to get back into it. I like Rome total war 2 but I really like Thrones of Britannia just didn’t know why it didn’t take off like Rome
i really want a rome 3 or at least another total war around the same period of time, maybe based on alexander the great or the middle eastern powers or even the germanic tribes. We love this time period

Apollo, what are the siege rules? Probably more relevant to a city siege, but always wondered if it was possible to concentrate the attack on one side and hide a siege tower the opposite side of the city at the back of the map, with a couple of your best units. Could you slowly sneak them in to the city unnoticed?
Hey Apollo there is this mobile game called great conqueror: Rome and it’s a turn based strategy game that goes through Roman history and major battles. For a mobile game it’s really well done and it is my favorite mobile game. It might be fun to watch

I hate the way CA downgraded the triari. I'm Roman history, they were the most experienced and grizzled units in the army. If Hastari and Pricipes failed it was up to them to hold. Yet they're so weak in the game.
does saving your ammo till later stages of the siege actually work? if exhaustion affects missile block chance, i can see why you would save it. if it doesn't ,wouldn't you want to go after the high strength units before the battle even starts?
Normally the high strength units aren’t brought into the fight until later in the game, so you can never get a good angle or even get in range of them properly until later, so it’s best to save ammo for them later, especially for units such as pikes, elephants, and enemy archers. Obviously it’s good to use some at the start, but if you have no ammo by the end of the battle it’s really difficult. I get in that situation all the time and it just results in your finals stage troops getting destroyed by enemy projectiles and you have no answer to it
