And then when you ask how much, most have no idea. I can understand not pricing things...it's a lot of work. But you don't even have a general idea of what you want?
I didn’t price a lot of things, I just told people to ask me. I would look at the person and their interest and go from there. I was the type of seller who just wanted to get rid of it all, so it was pretty cheep. I would tell some people that “It is worth…” when they wanted it cheaper than my really get rid of it low prices.
My Uncle recently passed away and he had a LOT of stuff. Some valuable stuff, as well. But, we are doing estate sales. And my motto is "cater to the reseller" because that's who will buy it! The way I price stuff is to look up average sold on Ebay, divide by 2 and then divide by 2 again. I sell for about 25% of what it's selling for on Ebay and I am happy with that. In my book, we all win! I'm glad you are upfront with people. Like you said, it sometimes opens doors to something GREAT!
I see you at these sales and you are one of the most honest resellers out there. It's why I watch your videos. Plus you 're a great picker too! Love the video and the content!
I ALWAYS tell the seller the truth, which for me is, my mom has moderate dementia and this is how I pay for any extras...shoes, clothing etc. I'm not looking for sympathy but as her sole unpaid caregiver it is what it is. I know folks appreciate the straight up honesty. Blessings, K.T.
More than not, when we tell people we are full time resellers, we get invited into the house or garage to look at the “better” stuff and end up leaving with more items. I find that most people tell us how cool it is that we can make a living doing this.
I enjoy your videos. You're polite, honest, and know your stuff. Honesty is the best policy. Plus, a lot of people don't want to mess with eBay and put in the work so they let it go to a reseller.
I agree 100 percent with tell them, so what if they get upset that you're reselling? If they want full value, then take they can time/effort to put it online, ship it, and everything that goes along.
Excellent yard/garage sale video John..😍😮 There were lot's of good sales in that neighborhood you went to..🤗 Very cool that you was able to get the book's for your price..🎉 Love it.. Take care.👍❤🔥🤙
Nice pickups there John ! Great video. I don't see a thing wrong with telling folks you resell. Honesty is the best policy. I think like you mentioned, it might open up more doors to things they will say, hey, wait..I have some things I didn't put out you might like to look at. IMO, no one should be offended.
being honest can get you a GUY, that's how Lonnie over at Shed Flips met his guy and he now gets lots of chances to buy great stuff at great prices. He told him he was a reseller when the guy asked.
Fwiw the red ring of death is XBox 360. That's an OG XBox. I believe the common issue with those is the disk drive itself, either not reading games or eject issues. All the ones I've come across have worked just fine. They are built much more durable than their successor the 360.
I collect diecasts from Hot Wheels and Matchboxs and other brands I tell them I'm a collector but I do to them I do resell the ones I have doubles off and I tell them what I sell them for and mine are always cheaper then what other people sell them for.
I wish you the best on the vcr. I have myself bought many that don't function correctly. I actually just posted a video and, at the end, showed me checking a vcr, which unfortunately didn't work either. I was wondering if you get them not working correctly. Do you junk them or lot them up and sell for parts and repair? I thought I would list them as parts/repair, but it don't seem to be much of a market for them, I don't believe. I'm just curious about what you do in that instance.
I found it interesting that you said you were a reseller at 6:20, do you usually get better deals when you say you are a reseller or when you say you are a collector ? I feel like people have a negative bias against resellers and would inflate the asking price if they found out I was one
I think people who don’t wanna sell on eBay are a little lazy and impatient 😂 it’s not hard to list a item wait till it sells. Once it does all you gotta do is take it to the post office and BAM you’re done!
Hi John, maybe the Reds are going to give us a season after all. Quick question, does it matter to the content provider if a viewer watches the entire add or hits "skip" when it comes up?
Honestly I dont know! Either way, I appreciate you watching! And yes, the reds are showing signs of life! Lots of baseball left in the season, anything can happen!
If they are that bothered why don't they list the stuff on eBay themselves? Surely if they have it out at a garage sale it's to get rid of stuff pretty quick anyways, no messing.
It’s their garage sale they are under no obligation to give you a good deal. They can ask twice retail if they want. If you don’t like it then get a real job and stop living off of other people’s trash. You people are sick.
I let my kids build them and I split the profit with them. I point out any missing pieces or they find the missing piece in the 10,000 Lego they already have. 😂
10:34 I can't help but think of Doreen (Stuart's mom) from MadTV when I hear this lady talk and interact. No offense meant, but here is one of the sketches. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oMwmJd66rXM.html
i can tell you are not a golfer, that was a hella nice set of AP1 718's. probably 400-500 dollar range for that set if it was all there. I would have jumped over that bag just to buy those clubs. You just do not come across clubs like that very often at all
@@cincinnatipicker. You probably know this but on titleist they resuse the same names on many of their models and the way to tell the difference is on the hosel of the club it will usually have 3 digits like 712 or 718. If they were 718 then $350-425 FS.
