It does get busy at the North Sea in Summer, you must definitely book accommodation in advance. But still there is room to breathe and relax. Are you thinking of travelling around, R Good Michigan? I‘m so glad you like my videos. I‘ve got more planned that‘ll show you other places and aspects of this beautiful country!
@@LaureninGermany Lauren, I plan travel there and other places in the near future. Covid has held my travels up. I'll be watching for more of your videos. Thanks
@@farmlandmichigan4721 oh no! I hope you are fine now! You must definitely visit the North Sea, the air is very good for healing the lungs. I‘ll have some southern Germany videos up soon, too.
You’re welcome, thank you, Azael! Yes, before I lived in Germany, I didn’t know that there are these amazing islands in the North Sea. Have you seen also my video about Föhr? That is a North Frisian island and Juist ist East Frisian.
Thanks, Nick! I know that some of the people who watch my videos miss the sound, so I promised to upload some church bells for them. I also thought it was a nice way to finish, thanks!
Ah, that‘s great! I also didn’t know there were places like this in Germany until I lived here and got to go there. And each island is different, with a different atmosphere. I’m glad you liked it, thank you for commenting!
Oh, then I am so glad you found me! I always imagine childhood holidays on these islands must be fantastic! I have just been to Norderney and Baltrum, Langeoog, Spiekeroog and Borkum are planned for next year. I already have a video of Wangerooge up. I love these islands and how individual they are, but still all North Sea islands. i have already been to them all, but before I started my channel, so I love filming them, now.
I have lived in Germany and visited beautiful and magnificent Germany many times. However,, you are taking us to places where I have never been but that will change as I will continue to make plans for later trips. BTW, I love your saying ""there isn't bad weather, just bad clothing" } lol lol :). Thanks so much for bringing great content from a place that we both love. I love Germany so much and I am always planning my next trip :).
I also wasn’t aware of the North Sea and the islands until 2012. Isn‘t it incredible? I’m so lucky to travel to these glorious places for work, and I love sharing them with likeminded people!
Two very different holiday destinations, indeed! But that’s what’s so incredible about Germany - we‘ve got it all! Thank you so much for commenting and watching 🙏❤️
Thank you lauren for the stunning footage of Juist , it really is a gem of serenity 🙂, your narration for the video is wonderfully delivered , you have a very calming voice 👍
Dear Lauren, tonight I was glad to be in the audience of your and your husband's wonderful concert at Neuharlingersiel. Thanks a lot for this evening! Like you I'm in love with Töwerland and I'm looking forward to visit it again in July. Every stay there brings me down to earth, gives me new energy and helps me to clean up my mind. From the first step onto this island I calm down and I can take a deeper breath than before. It's really magic, this Töwerland, and my little paradise for a few days of the year.
Hello Antje! Thank you so much! Yes, I love it so much on Juist. Just thinking about arriving there makes me feel good. How wonderful of you to comment and support me, and I‘m so glad you enjoyed the concert, too!
I'm always so impressed by your storytelling skills Lauren, absolutely amazing! "there isn't bad weather, just bad clothing" haha I remember in England this was an iconic quote! The church in the bidding farewell reminded me a lot of some of the churches in Lithuania. Great footage and your videos are really getting fantastic!
Oooohhh thank you!!! I think I’m improving bit by bit. Soon I‘ll have a bit of new equipment, which I am hoping will help, too! Yes, the bells were for some people who love and miss the sound where they live, so I tested my theory and put on raincoat and wellies and ran over, 😂
I really appreciate that you are also showing northern Germany with its wonderful places. I live in the south, but I have to admit that the north of Germany ist heavily underrated. I first saw the sea in northern Germany at the age of 7 and was in love since then. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous videos.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment, Hartmut! Yes, I love northern Germany, too. It’s so varied, and I feel it’s like an insider tip. So very German, and yet so different to other regions. And with the sea, again with such differences between the North and the Baltic seas.
Wow, this is a very nice and beautifull video from the island Juist. I like your pleasant and calm voice and the important details in this video. The video makes you relax. Best regards from Germany
Hi! The temperature is warmer in the Summer, but it depends what you like doing. It’s fantastic with children. So safe, no cars, lots of nature to discover. There are guided tours showing you all about the Wattenmeer, which is protected. It’s off the coast - have a look in Google maps, that’s the easiest. My directions would take you to Norway 🤦🏻♀️😂
Dear Lauren, there was the question, if the islands will be busy in summer. Yes, they are, but as you need a hotel and if all hotel rooms are booked, it cannot get more busy. And even if all hotels are complete, it will busy, but not crowded. But the real big difference is: Wangerooge, Spiekeroog, Langeoog, Juist and Baltrum are free of cars - and that makes the difference. No noise, no speeding, no hurry. I look at RU-vid quite often travel videos. But yours are special and different, very very special. I am always wondering how you manage that there are no people in the streets, whether it is daylight or even when the evening lights in the houses are still switched on. Your videos and story's are masterpieces.
It's so wonderful to see how the channel growth and it's well deserved ☺️ It's so much fun to watch you and I enjoy it. There is even an old phone booth on the island, super cool.
Someone just told me! I got it wrong, I‘m really embarrassed 🙈 I‘ll try to put some text up to remedy it- and I’ll go red as Hagebutte when I am at the North Sea next! Thank you so much for commenting!
Oops! It’s not Sanddorn, it’s a rosehip! I couldn’t change it, except in the subtitles. Thanks to everyone who pointed out my mistake so sweetly ❤️ I only had a few hours to film this unique place, but I thought you might like to get some impressions of what Juist looks like. Have you every been to a North Sea island? Most people have got a favourite: "their" island! Tell me yours! What did you think of Juist?
I had to laugh out loud when the place of "Kurkonzert" was shown. I had been several times in Juist. For sure I rent a bike. And one hot and sunny day I really "spoiled the party" at the Kurkonzert. There was way too much airpressure in the old bike tyres and I placed the bike in the sun to sit in the icecream-café nearby. Suddenly a very, very loud bang stopped the concert and people were really frightened. I knew at once what had happen. Now I had to wait 30 minutes more, grabbed that bike and walked home pushing the bike with a whistle on my lips.
Oh my.... just didn't realize you're from oughta this town.......... 🙂Your Deutsch sounds so natively German - so please let me practice my English on you! Spiekeroog is my most favorite German island, please pay a visit there within the next decade or so! 🙂
