Hey Craig and Margaret thankyou for all the information you put up ,you,s have taught me alot about myself and I'm slowly working on your books . I have been with my wife for 33 years and I must admit that since I started a new job it became very stressful and when I came home at night I would just shut down and ignore her but she never asked if I was ok , anyway she took a job working nights so we hardly spent time together and she made friends with a guy at work and then it evolved into a relationship and they got intimate in our house while I was at work during the day. She told me about the day they did it and how she wanted him to come and live here and I said no . Anyway she kept trying to have him here then we would get into argument's and she would say it's over and she doesn't want to see me anymore so I go no contact and a couple of days later she reaches out . Then the whole process starts again . I love this woman to bits . So now what happens is she sleeps and spends time with him and spends time with me , he is old enough to be our son lol . So now they have just got a place to rent together but she still wants to keep coming here . I get so confused and when she is here I can't wait for her to leave, I'm starting to feel numb about the whole situation, do I just let her go and let her do what she wants and I just focus on myself which I'm slowly doing and starting to feel better in myself and keeping my emotions in check . Any other advise would be appreciated. Thankyou for all the time and effort you put into the videos you are a legend.

Well on the plus side, I lost 20 pounds in two weeks...only wanted to lose 10-15 but hey...the insult was when they stopped ghosting me and we facetimed and they said I looked really good...they had no idea why or how I lost that weight. Fuck them!

I'm in the same boat now after two break ups.. shes trying to friend zone me cause after 3 months shes just now mourning the Loss of our relationship..I'm reying to be kind....but want to walk and never look back but i still care and I have changed....should intry a 3rd time....shes dissmissive avoidant and I'm a recovering anxious style, moving towards secure attachement......help!!!

Currently going through almost the exact same situation with my ex. Haven't talked to her in over 3-months and almost certain she rebounded into something almost immediately after we split. Still tears my heart out thinking about it as this almost exact same thing happened a year ago! Its rough. Especially when you want that person you care so much for, to just care for you the same way. This back and forth with her feelings and her actions since tears me up inside and just creates scar tissue. It saddens me to see what we had together, devolve and ruined by that kind of behaviour. I really thought she was the last girlfriend I would EVER have.

Best advice for this story is: Run away man, run away.

How long did it take? I'm at 2 months now and still miss her and think of her everyday. Atleast I'm not crying anymore like before but still depressed sometimes

It's a huge release to realize that it wasn't your fault, and you were not the one with the issues - for me, it was huge to realize that the breakup was not my fault - her messed up issues, I never did anything wrong.

It really does get better. It;s been three months now and I am feeling like new. be kind to yourself.

The reality is that all of us on this site have worked on ourselves, and the exes are still stuck in the same place. Even if they want to reconcile, they are usually in the same place and will exhibit the same behavior and issues. ..nothing has changed.

@@ghmus7 I completely agree, those that actually need to work on themselves are stuck in their avoidance and static self defeating behaviors. You won't find those in here watching videos or reading books! Recognizing that and moving on to more mature partners, rather than waiting for them to change their mind and/or change themselves, is far more conducive to long term happiness

Yea, they really broke up with us cause they didnt want to do the work with themselves that they had to do to make a relationship work...and then my ex blamed me, projecting her issues only me and refused to see herself.

Yep, I made the mistake to give my ex a second chance after he tossed me aside the first time and he did it again and once again blamed me. I now know I never should have taken the blame and I never should have trusted that HE changed. I put his ass on a pedestal when really he doesn't deserve me.

It feels like I’m not going to hear from him again. I don’t want to lose hope, but feel so betrayed and taken for granted at this point. He said he loves me and break up with me the next day, so that he can be single and roam around. I thought he’ll come back within a month cause we had great relationship. Even if it’s get comfortable after 2 years. But he didn’t...... He reached out 4-5 times out of guilt and curiosity, but doesn’t want me back. I feel so stupid. I love him so much and didn’t see this coming at all. Now i hope that i can move on, I just can’t get over him. I miss him like crazy 😣 the worst time of my life.

I have done all the work and been doing the personal growth for about 2 years. The only advice I can give is go slow. Don't over invest right away. Don't have expectations. Just let it flow naturally. If you see red flags. Step back.

For me I had to go through my childhood and look at the trauma and abandonment. It wasn’t what happened to me but it was what I believed about myself as a result. For each situation there was a negative belief about myself and I had to rewrite a new belief that is truthful and positive. Then when I could finally heal from that the broken relationship wasn’t triggering the old beliefs and the old pain. I also discovered that I had recreated a similar attachment where I was trying to make someone happy so that they would love me instead of the other person being responsible for their own happiness and loving me for who I am and not for what I can do for them. I also started to see that my relationship with her was a reflection of my relationship with God. I had treated God the same way she had treated me. This discovery was uncomfortable at first then I decided to press into my relationship with God instead and that’s where I found the hole inside of me beginning to get filled. And had I not made her an idol in place of God, and didn’t she fail to do what only God could do? I hadn’t put much thought into such things before but today I am grateful for what I have now. I work at putting God first and then adding to instead of the other way around. May your healing come quickly.

I think this comment below is good. There may be something in your past that the breakup brought up. Take care of yourself.

My ex-wife asked for a divorce and I moved out then gave her the papers after a year separated. 13 years later she called me back and said she regretted that and never wanted a divorce when she asked for it. Meanwhile I had remarried for 12 years and current wife asked for a divorce. She screamed and yelled, threw her ring and asked me what I had to say for myself. I had just worked a long hard day and I told her I had put her clothes in the dryer and she would have clean clothes in the morning and went to bed. I would not talk about divorce and still won’t. 7 months later now and it’s working out. I stopped catering to the emotional outbursts, just listened without trying to defend myself and then moved onto the next thing. If I hadn’t known the regrets of the first I probably wouldn’t have kept my cool for the second. I hope that is somehow helpful and wish you the best outcome.

So we are in a ldr and we met last june and my Girlfriend decided to breakup with me then. And of course i beg and pleaded until she went back to her place. In my attempt to have some sort of connection with her I proposed to have a cool-off period it is like a cease-fire in the relationship and ask for another chance. Which then she agreed out of pity. I'm pretty sure she still intend to breakup with me since she's cold and ignored my messages and wanted her space. I started nc on the 2nd week but contacted her after a month telling her that I resolved this one issue that she really has grudges on me. She told me that it doesn't matter now because its been long overdue and she still wants to rest from all the stress. So I said my Goodnights and started NC again for indefinite time. It's been a week now. Right now she is posting on her soc media enjoying her freedom and some hikes planned out. While im focusing on my own growth. My question is this. If she ever reaches out after some months of 'freedom'. How should I address her when I felt that she has broken up with me but my proposal to just have the cooling off period and not really have that formal break up happened. What if she tells me when she contacts me again that "Fine I'll give you another chance" It sounds like she will still have that power over me when she says it like that. Or should I act like she broke up with me and let her do the work and pursuing me. I want to have that power shift back to me when she comes back.
