Thanks again RG, been following you for years. Iv been on the fence about buying Kriscool’s Retrobeast Mini 4tb but I see Hyperbase has a 5tb version. How would you say it compares? This one is also a great value, 100 ish is a lot better for my pocket than 300ish lol good looking out. Please let me know your suggestions if you can 👍🏼
These do seem really cool, but I would caution against hooking something like this up to a computer you do anything else on. The potential for malware/spyware getting loaded up with your favorite games is most likely really high.
I would not even want it on an offline device. Just the idea of having a drive riddled with malware is awful. The seller of this product told a customer that their antivirus detection of malware must have been a false positive. Yeah, sure.
Awesome "tutorial video" lol..... anyway, I have Launchbox on an external drive that I built like 3 years ago. Pretty cool front end with Genesis games and some more old school.....but yeah, after watching this vid, I feel to update my stuff, especially since I will be getting the a Beelink SER 5 Max today. 👍👍👍👍 thanks for your reviews on mini pc's by the way
Once upon a time, I came across something like this WITH an AnyDesk app, among disturbing things in the file. I pretty much never touched it again. To be fair, it was from a different company but the concept was similar. Stay safe!
Hi Rgt I’d like to buy this as I have had the mini pc for a year and really fancy this but living in the uk not available on Amazon uk, Do you know of anywhere else I can get it
Brilliant Video RGT 85. This Retro/Modern Hard Drive is looking absolutely insane. Xenoblade Chronicles X is the best Xenoblade Game for sure and Nintendo better have a Port ready at Launch for the Next System.
I can't get mine to launch and I've purchased 2 different hard-drives and neither one will launch it? Can't figure out why it wont? When I click on the launchbox logo to open it it acts like it's going to open and then it just stops? I'm just probably gonna sell mine........bummer.😢
Need a honest answer in your opinion for the best plug and play retro console I dont need 100,000 games but the ole games from 80's-90's like to take camping and wherever we decide to take and plug into a tv. Thanks in Advance
I'm glad MVG is in the emulation scene. Somewhat. A real conversation needs to be had, I can't play games as they come out. I might miss something and this reminds me of renting games back in the day. Maybe cap a reasonable amount and years someone can make off a game before it goes public library. Otherwise someone still suffers, a stolen physical game from a retail store or whatever. Someones gonna get the short end of the stick somewhere. Needs to e more fair.
Retro-King, show us the way. Will you do a video on building the perfect media set for the Wii with imports? Please include Wheel art, box art, videos, bezels& so on. Is there a way to use multiple scrapers? Can you use the media downloaded with launchbox in RetroBat? Thanks.
I’ve been doing a ton of research and a lot of digging. for the next switch Nvidia calls the module jetson TX2 , Jetson TX2 NX Module I will keep giving you info it takes me a lot of work
Amazon has a 12 tb plug n play for $300 the amount of games and systems is wow. Ps1,2,3,4 wii, wii u, switch , Japanese systems, European games for ps1,2,3,4 etc...
Definitely needs Sega Genesis, along with GBA...Considering the price though, it's a steal if you don't want to bother setting up Emulators, and searching the internet for specific roms/isos.
Soooo does this plug n play on Linux also? For ppl talking about viruses, malware and such … if you plan to use it on a Steam Deck for example . Me. I have a gaming pc so I plan to use it for gaming only on Steam Deck no personal info will be on it so does it really matter ? Right… Right ?
I'm not into computers so my knowledge is limited can I run this on a laptop? Also is there secret agent clank on psp? Or any ratchet and clank games for psp? Thanks man
I know this is possibly a stupid question, but does it also include the game shark codes for the N64 emulator’s or any cheat functions for certain games?
Watching the adverts and Willy Wonka comes on. So the Oompa Loompa is proper short, because I'm guessing they can't possibly have real life dwarf people anymore 😆😂🤯
I have this 2tb hard drive I also have the kinhank 2tb hard drive as well as the hypermix 5tb hard drive I have all consoles and their game libraries from the 1st generation to Now emulates all to either my Mac or PC amazing hard drives must buys
Is Launchbox ur fav to use or do you like something else? Would also love to see a video on how to properly set up Dolphin and other systems. I have a good pc and GameCube runs like crap for some reason. Great video.
I clicked on the link for that hard drive that was only $115 and guess what, they have none. It says that it's currently unavailable and they have no idea when or if it will be in stock. That sucks cause I was really interested on getting one. I will think about getting the mini PC one and it's $359. May get it but still would like to get the other one thought since it's cheaper but yet, not sure if they will get it in stock or not.
I ordered the Beelink. It was $259, not even three hundred. It was a different seller on Amazon than the affiliate. Slightly weaker specs than the affiliate, but close. It has Ryzen 5, not seven. I'll try it out and if see if I like it. If it doesn't perform well, I send it back.
@@MuffHamI just received the hard drive, and while it is totally worth the price, it has flaws. Red Dead II doesn't open. It's missing a dll. Saturn is very buggy. Two games were unplayable. MK Trilogy and the Virtua Fighter games were glitched heavily. Nights is a demo version. Switch seems to run very well. It has it's small graphic glitches, but that is to be expected with emulation. There are a lot of good games here. Wii U runs fantastic as well. I am still testing it, but I have to go to work and don't have much time now. Awesome package with the Beelink and the hard drive.
@@nickangelo116 cool thanks for the update. I got RDR 2 on PC. I'm more concerned about the PS 1 and 2 games working. Also wanted to play Zelda u mentioned switch games work. Those 2 games along is the cost of the drive.
@@nickangelo116 I'm not sure I even ordered the same product. There was multiple listings looking the same just different prices. The one I ordered was only 170 Canadian. It looked like the one in the video.
