I saw Pantera many many times, and Dime signed my arm once after a show and I got it tattoo'd on permanent the next day. Its nice to know that Dime is still putting smiles on faces 20 years after his passing. RIP Dime and Vinnie

I've always loved in this vid how everyone looks like they're mad demons stomping entire cities into the ground, but every time they cut to Vinnie Paul on drums he just looks like he's a big kid having a good time. Drummers rule!

I have had the opportunity to see Pantera a number of times and I will say this, you catch Phil on a day he is not stoned or drunk, he is hands down one of the greatest front men in metal history. Love your reaction, brightened up my day \m/

This was one of the aspects of metal and music in general in the ‘90s. It went from really light and silly in the ‘80s to this, which was some real serious sh!t. But to me that kinda music truly does demand “re-spect”.

They started out as a glam metal band on their first 3 albums that had vocalist Terry Lee Glaze. He was replaced by Philip Hansen Anselmo and the music changed to a heavier sound. Check out early Pantera - All Over Tonight. Totally different but still a phenomenal guitar solo by Dimebag Darrell Abbott who called himself Diamond Darrell back then. Bass player Rex Brown called himself Rex Rocker. Also check out Anselmo in Down - New Orleans Is A Dying Whore and Ghost Along The Mississippi.

I was shooting pool in Deep Ellum one time and these guys came and put their quarters on the table and we hung out for an hour before I knew it was them...hahahaha...they also owned a strip club in Dallas called "The Clubhouse" because they partied and needed a place to play.

My best friend has discovered Pantera. One of my favorites of all time and I'm sure you have your knee pads out for Phil Anselmo right!!!?!?!

And yes Phil is the lead singer but he isnt and had NEVER been Pantera. The band was formed by Darrell "Dimebag" Darrell (the bass as guitar player) and his beother Vinnie Paul (the drummer). Dime was murderer many yrs ago by a deranged fan in a club in Ohio and Vinnie died of a heart attack. Thry have a club called thr clubhouse in downtown Dallas, TX. Dime and Vinnie are from Pantego TX .
