Remnant Tours attends Sunday Mass in Nantes, France, the city where General François Charette-“King of the Vendee”-was executed in 1796 for being a symbol of Catholic resistance to the Revolution.
Thank you Michael Matt for documenting the sure but steady growth of tradition loving faithful Catholics. A sign of hope and it's just going to grow , there's no turning back from here. God bless you and your team..
@@james130211 - My dearest James, we know this. What YOU err in is the Catholic Church has changed so much since Vatican II and the faith has become so much like the Protestants believe. We believe in Transubstantiation-the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity are in the Hosts at the Consecration. This is why this is so beautiful. Our Lord told us, "Where two or more are gathered in My name, there I will be." It is not the place we are so enamored in, it is the Faith!!
In France, what a beautiful mass, full with young families, and all ages worshiping our Lord, we need that here in the United States, more Latin, churches, and mass, we pray to the Lord in his name, amen 🙏🙏🙏
In the Dallas, Texas, area there is a large and growing Latin Mass parish. It is called Mater Dei Parish and is classified as a Personal Parish. (That means the parish boundary is the same as the Diocesan boundary.) Three resident priests. Latin Masses all day on Sunday. Low Masses (silent), sung Mass, and a High Mass. Confessions during Masses. Their website has more info.
What’s awesome is that I know that chant at the beginning. It’s in a different country, but I could sing along because it’s the same universal language.
With the month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus upon us, I will pray for the martyrs of the Vendee and ask the Saints (known and unknown) of the Vendee to pray for us.
I agree Michael Matt! We are winning...I felt this for some time now! Let those who want to argue, argue & meanwhile we will go to Mass, the true weapon against the enemies of Christ. What a lovely Church! Thankyou for showing us....Nice to see our Brothers & Sisters in Christ worshiping together Traditionally! Pax Christi🙏🕊
Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto, sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper, et in saecula saeculorum. Amen. Have a blessed Holy Trinity Sunday.
Love the traditional confessionals IN USE! And the sound of crying and cooing infants. I'm having flashbacks to my childhood in soaring gothic churches in Pittsburgh, Haddonfield, NJ and in Roanoke in Southwestern Virginia! Orémus Y'all.
That is a Beautiful FSSP Parish. The FSSP Parish that I attend here in the States is just as Packed. We have 6 Masses every Sunday and 3 Masses Daily Monday thru Saturday with Confession before every Daily Mass. As of now we are running out of space. We need a bigger Parish. God Willing. The TLM is just exploding.
I started attending the Traditional Latin Mass about a year ago. I knew from my first Mass that I was experiencing something extraordinary. I have attended the Novus Ordo Mass my whole life, and never knew the TLM existed. I feel like I have come home since attending the TLM. I hope to continue attending the beautiful Mass forever. How blessed am I to have this mass in my life.
Well Michael I love the Latin Mass. A Catholic Church not doing the Latin Mass is like a synagogue not doing services in Hebrew. My Saint St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross of she materialized from the great beyond in the Middle of a Novus Ordo Mass would probably vomit. The TLM is what keeps Catholicism from being just another White Bread Protestant denomination which I use to be part of.
Thank you Michael Matt for showing french revival faith to the world. If you have enough time while you are in France, you should visit our small parish in Normandie called "Communauté Saint-Michel" in Saint-Michel des Andaines town. Cardinal Burke has already come twice in this very small place. You should appreciate. Another place to visit is in Sées's diocese. Here is the famous FSSP's school named "Institut de la Croix des Vents". It's quite amazing. Hope to see you there someday. God bless you, In Christo
I love that Kyrie-version. This is my 70s/80s. In latin too. In Novus Ordo mass. At some point, the organ player thought she was big star and had an audience... and then it was doomed. Never again to hear this Kyrie. My TLM today, have an amazing schola, really delivering the goods. I had forgotten about the one I would hum from tome to time.
Sadly they are. To go to church in the middle of a big city, you usually gotta to act like you're planning a trip to some unknown foreign land. When i was a kid, there were open churches everywhere, everyday. I don't say it can't be reversed but it's gonna hard.
@@VideaVice25 Our Catholic Church moves slowly but surely. In the Paris region, the number of adults baptized is 27% higher in 2024 than in 2023. The same phenomenon can be seen in rural dioceses
@@arteotomiMexicorural areas have been the most damaged by liturgical reforms in France. In big cities you can find decent masses. In rural areas (especially in Vendee) this is a nightmare. But it will come back. We just need a spark...
Magnificent! Praise to You Lord Jesus Christ! Mr. Matt, Thank you for this awesome clip. My Sunday Latin Mass here in CA is just like that. Wish the world would come back to celebrating Mass in this way again. Thank you
It’s packed at the ICKSP also in New Brighton England and also at St Mary’s in Warrington FOSP Loads of young kids and young people and the kids all have their mantillas on …… take note Bergolio 🙏🏼✝️🙏🏼❤️
I've been going to the Traditional Latin mass for over a year in Bayside, Queens, NY. It's a small parish. Last week, over 200 in attendance. We are growing every day.
Sitting here singing the Kyrie with them... What a beautiful sight! I did notice that the women for the most part do not wear veils, where here in USA 99% of women at TLM do. Maybe a cultural thing? Anyway, thank you for showing us this beautiful sign of hope in France
Thank you for sharing this. Thank you for showing the future of the Catholic Church. I pray that I will be able to see and go to this Mass with my future grand children.❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
We have a French Catholic girl here, born and raised in southern Brittany, who knows nothing about the War in the Vendee. Never learned one word about this from her parents or at local Catholic schools.
Went to France 16 years ago, fearing the worst. By far, my favorite country I've ever been to. People were friendly ... and the Basilica of Sacred Heart was unbelievable -- not to mention Notre Dame. The people were by far the most wonderful. Come on France, we're praying for you. Come back to your Catholic Senses!!
Dieu de Roi! I'm saving every last penny so I can retire in France and Nantes is definitely on my top five list. Thank you for showing us this beautiful mass!
For my grandson's baptism I went to the small traditionalist chapel where in spite of Terror Christianorum the bishops has left them alone. Mass was a bit noisy, but not from the sanctuary where in the NO most of the noise originates either from the "celebrity" priest or the music theater majors trying to be liturgical. The Mass was dignified and untouched and proceeded according to the grace of its inner reality. The noise came from the creaking pews and the generous amount of young children in the small congregation. The tiny choir was not phased For at least that Sunday all was right with the world.
How do I comment in a worthwhile way? After 45 years of lapse, I returned. I started to discern a return by reading, watching RU-vid. Repeated "nudges" from the Holy Spirit and prayers via the Carthusians at Parkminister, and most importantly by the intercession of St Philip Neri and the priests of the Oratory of Birmingham UK and hearing sung Extraordinary Form Mass, I have returned to the faith. Why cannot the Holy Father see the TLM for what it is? Inspiring.
St. John Bosco is a beautiful church if the bishop hasn’t shut it down yet. I believe they are forced to say the newer version of the Mass first (but they do it very reverently) and then around 12:30 they say the true Mass.
I'm in Cyprus on holiday. Just been to Mass .It was N Ordo with main prayers in Latin. Lay person saying the episode. A mix of people taking Communion on hand and tongue. Priest facing the people. Offertory prayers in English. Mass finished then off they go... all gossip and taking. Then another N/ Ordo to follow this one.. then the Anglican Mass after that. What a total divide and mix up. Taking to woman outside church. Isn't it nice to share the church....I was saddened by it all. So sorry for the Priest who thinks all this is fine. And a very poor sermon he gave. Lord have mercy on us.
I love all the prans, and the babies crying, the solemnity of the Mass. Excellent camera work! It’s true, there’s life in the Traditional Mass, there’s no truer expression of love to, and for God, all the other expressions of Christianity fall short. Jesus himself said that we are to be ONE Church. Become part of the ONE true Church founded by none other than Christ the King!
Thanks. Just a little precision. Nantes is not really in Vendee but just north of it. It is more in southern Brittany from an historical perspective. But it was almost taken by the Vendean army in 1793. God bless you
SSPX always says the Rosary 📿 before mass starts.Which I love ❤ jesus is really present in the Body and Blood of the Holy communion. When Father holds the Body and Blood of jesus I bow my head. And say my lord and my God.i aske jesus to help me make a good communion Please help to take this for my children Grand children, brothers,Sisters,Nephews. Necies and help me bring them back to jesus and Peace and love around the World And I pray for Pope, Arbishops, Prists nun's etc 🙏 💙 Pray for our Latin Mass 🙏 ❤
