So this anime is an adaptation of an LN which started published in 2020. Also I know another LN that focuses on the appraisal skill that started publishing in 2017. So they've been around a bit no one wanted to make an anime of them yet.

I'm torn about the premise. On one hand it seems really cool to see numbers that make life seem like a computer game. On the other hand, the number of good isekai stories that came out in the past 3 years probably is 5 which is a small percentage of those released in the time period.

This is a pretty warm and fun isekai imo. Not another that's just focused on the MC becoming absurdly powerful. It also had an episode that brought me to tears, which isekai falling into the power fantasy side of things basically never do.

Haven't read the source material, but in watching the anime so far, it feels implied that there ARE other skills out there. Another character says "they have a skill" to basically know what emotion people are feeling if they try to hide it, but it wasn't clear if that's a magic skill or just a talent they have. Another "has an eye" for minute details like whether a lord's seal is counterfeit or not. He also meets an absurdly talented spy down the line which seemed like they might have a skill in the same way the MC does.

Technically there are tier to this. Most Isekai only see the basic information, some couldn't see much details. The All Seeing Eyes is the ultimate version which can see information on everything and what they use for.

I would argue that this is slightly different. He's able to see their aptitudes and potential. They sill need to work to reach said potential. Like, his dad had 94/94 prowess (full potential) while his retainer guy had 60/90 prowess (still needs work)

If you try hard but don’t reach past 60 does that mean you’re not trying hard enough? If you’re at your max does that mean no need to improve? It’s possible the anime will eventually answer those questions since it’s just the first episode but idk about stat sheets for fantasy worlds

But the harsh reality is that certain people could work hard in a specific area but never get satisfactory results. They just don't have the talent, they're better off working on things they're good at rather than wasting time trying to get better at something they will never improve in.
