This is why nobody cares about the Clash Royale meta anymore. Its nothing but the same 30 cards that are prevalent and its function does not make sense in a card game. The only difference was when a card is either very bad or broken (which I don't know if the Goblinstein was)
Good changes. I always felt that the Goblinstein was mostly fine, but its ability got way too much value. Also, ram rider definitely needs like a 2.5 tile charge time instead of 2.0 like it has right now. I'm sick of that card, which is also inflating Pekka's usage rates. Speaking of, I think Pekka needs the range buff it got a few months ago to be reverted, considering that the Evo Pekka isn't too bad anymore imo and the buff was given to the Pekka when it was very weak in the meta. I just don't think it needs it anymore. I also don't think Supercell intended for the Goblinstein to be broken, it's just a weird card that took a bit of time for people to realize just how good it is.

Some people just don't look on social media, some people never know, like 6 year olds, besides it doesn't matter... a nerf is a nerf... a game is a game... a card is a card.
Yeah I felt like the duration was too long but the other 2 nerfs were not that necessary but I think overall the nerfs aren't THAT big I think this card was kind of S tier but thr goblin giant thing was slow so that's what kept it balanced and it was like a mini tank (half tank)
@@caleanwatts8450 it was broken because you guys have no concept of spacing.. you just let the doctor pass and you got mini pekka, pekka, mega minon, basically you got so many counters and you even get them to waste 2 elixir if you drop them right as it close to pass the bridge... plus it was considered balanced by cheap spam cycle players that run basically swarm cards, and they don't even use goblinstein... so all I see is a mid ladder problem... same as how they say mega Knight broken
Very, plus 5 elixir cards always get the short end of the stick cuz 5 elixir cards are hard to fit in many decks, example, giant... it's a really good tank but because his price is so weird, it's hard to use, that's why any other tank does much well than giant

The ability duration change is also a 20% damage nerf to the ability, since it's a per second. Most likely balanced now, maybe a bit of an hp nerf to the monster if anything
Now if they could buff the projectile... (seriously, it deals only enough to one-shot Bats, has the same hitspeed as Spear Goblins, and doesn’t even hit multiple targets)
The tower damage change is good, but the other two honestly feel really punishing. Sucks because this card has been surprisingly balanced and much tougher to use.
The top players should not dictate what happens in the game. Chances are it affects his top deck or counters it and he doesn’t like it. If Dr died too easily the card is dead btw. Having it survive fireball is necessary. It’s a champion after all
Might as well never invest in any new character until at least 2 months after release. New cards will always feel broken when they introduce a new mechanic cuz ppl haven’t figured out the counters yet.
Right? Just give it a chance to settle first. I didn't drop money on this guy but I've used the 20 wild champion cards on it. Definitely feel ripped off. Watch the card drop to zero usage for months before they decide it needs reworking.
@@beatrixwickson8477 I used a Bob on this but I don't mind because other than lp ( I don't play cycle) all my champions were already maxed so I basically got the best value out of the Bob ( my lp is 6/20 so I would've got only 14 cards using Bob on it)
will still be good, compared to the nerfs lp got, it's like the first few nerfs before the knockback and dmg of lp got nerfed, I think it will still get major nerfs after the season, so use boost potions on it instead of upgrading it to max. Learned my lesson with maxing little prince, though never regretted maxing him out since he's a very good cycle champion.
I never found Goblinstein too strong, playing with or playing against. Just drop a building, and drop something tanky on Goblinstein (not monster) and you usually get a good counterpush.
The ability isn’t the problem it’s the fact that you get a building targeting tank with the health of an RG and a ranged support card for 5 elixer, the ability is just the icing on top
Nah the goblinstein ability is what makes him strong,but the monster deliveres it,they should've nerfed the monster's HP so that it barely reached the tower, what do you think of this change?
Because of skill issue and they think dropping swarms on the doctor is a good idea than a tank killer or any DPS card, now it will be just like the other champions, barely used, tho the skeleton king is doing well

@calliefalls3325 Little prince got 4 nerfs and its considered balanced. Many lower skilled players consider average cards to be weak which is a problem. What you consider 'nerfed to oblivion' might actually be how the card was intended to be. With skills it will be decent.
Well, now they really need to buff the monsters hp by a bit at least cuz that's quite a big nerf for something that was balanced.. cuz now it will start to join the champions that are barely used, the only exception are skeleton king.. then the random little prince and might miner and now goblinstein and the bottom barely used monk and archer queen....
The crown tower damage going down so much isn't enough to be detrimental, but it hurts enough to notice. 4s is reasonable, means I shouldn't be spammed. 17 seconds is the same thing as 15 seconds. If it was around long enough to go again then not much will change for that
This is honestly fine, this champion was genuinely pretty broken all things considered and surprisingly super flexible for a 5 elixir card. Substituted the skelly king for it and it just made my mortar deck insanely strong and solved a lot of the issues that I had when using skelly king. I don’t know if the cooldown is going to be enough to nerf it to a balanced state but it’s a start. My opinion is to make it 20 seconds instead, it’s crazy that you’re able to pull off 2 abilities in most instances.
I feel like the goblin stein ability isn’t what needed the nerf. I understand increasing the cool-down but crown tower damage? I feel like we needed an hop nerf to the monster more than anything.
(Knock on wood) Supercell has actually been doing a great job over the last month. Genuinely the only problem I have with the game right now is the stale meta dominated by Pekka, MK and Goblinstein. Other than that, the game is in an awesome state. Frankly I don’t care about the scheme of releasing a broken card for week before nerfing it. If that’s how they need to get their money, so be it… as long as they keep doing all the actually good stuff they’ve been doing like the pass royale changes, the lucky drops, and subjectively I really enjoyed the 4v4 mode. As a f2p player I’m actually getting enough gold to level up my cards at a reasonable rate instead of spending a lifetime to get level 14 cards. I can actually play the game!
I feel honestly they should’ve just reworked it cause the doctor has too much health but doesn’t do enough damage, so I think they should reduce its health to match that of Suspicious bush goblins & raise its damage to about 7% more damage? The monster is fine the way it is
I swear it makes me so mad when ppl say “oh they released a broken new card for money and thats it!” Brother. Did you forget suspicious bush was bad? They nerfed evo edrag before release? evo cage sucked, they dont do this every time. Im not saying they never do it, but ppl need to realize testing in beta is hard to judge how it will act in the meta. We see this with people saying the cage or valkyrie was gonna be broken then they sucked :/
I think the nerf is a step in the right direction, personally i think it still needs 1-2 more nerfs before it becomes balanced but i can expect it to be op on release since they gave it to everyone for free. its like the little prince all over again

I think the globlin and doctor are fine, they still need to nerf the dmg from the ability. For 2 elixir you can do more damage to an *entire lane* than arrows, zap, snowball, and fireball combined. That's way too much value and damage for 2 fking elixir. You shouldnt be able to 100-0 kill 7 cost units for 2 elixir, let alone be able to kill an entire push of many units
Thats good and hope it wont get anymore nerf,,, normally cr nerf champions so many times eventually make it dead,,, like monk,,, after nerfs it basically becomes dead
How are Archer Queen and Goblinstein both 5 elixir cards? Goblinstein has insane range damage, a tank, and a stun. And what does Archer queen get? Mid range damage, no stun, and a shorter ability than Goblinstein.

The developers are professionals and they know what they’re doing, put out an OP card make a lot of players spend tons of money, then emergency nerf so free to play players can be satisfied then rinse and repeat
I think the same as you the problem is not the golem is the dr, but im more harsh he should die to arrows its the kind of unit that usually dies with arrow feels weirs he is so tanky
If they nerf base pekka ima turn super saiyan 4 ultra instinct cus I’ve been a pekka main since the clash of clans day 1 and start of Clash Royale. Pekka is not broken if you make your deck accounting for it. You just can’t make a deck then complain cus you didn’t take into account the current meta you will eventually match up against.
Honestly, I don't care about cards being nerfed. I just use cards I think are really cool and would go well together. The Goblinstein is so funny to use and the lightning is so satisfying.
they're both just so weird, like why does the doctor have so much health? why do they both deal such low damage? why does lighting link deal way too much damage? why did it take so long for people to realize they were busted?
Card was absolutely busted Monster has so much HP ( more than Mighty Miner) And the link lasted for so damn long it’s ridiculous, monster needs HP nerf, it’s so damn tanky
The monster should get a speed nerf, or they should spawn closer. Rocket is just useless against it. I'd rather get the speed nerf tho, no building or tank killer and its guaranteed dmg + ability on tower
They ruined the card, that’s such a huge nerf. The card was a little broken but it doesn’t do much outside of what it counters and if you just choose to ignore it. Why not emergency buff and nerf cards all the time. I don’t see the difference in an emergency nerf and waiting for the end of the month
Lucas would never ask for cycle cards nerf🤣 evo skeletons are also very strong but there is no complaint from him I hope clash royale doesn't consider his biased opinions while doing balance changes
