Playing some BF5 Conquest flying the German JU-88 Junkers Bomber. I heard these AC-130 Waffenbehalter Level 4 Max Upgraded guns were amazing at air-to-air, so I went to check it out in BFV. Only in Battlefield 5 as a pilot

So 2 8mm mg's can shred a plane in seconds but a 37mm autocannon is not enough to down a bomber attacking you... hmmmm

@Ricky Tan My point is that it is too easy to take on AA in aircraft, even if those gunpods were equipped with 16 mg's (but since they are gunpods they should be fixed firing positions as in real life) a 37mm AA gun should still make minced meat out of a lowflying twin engine bomber. The problem is even if the AA gunner optimises his heatlevels on the gun it can't deliver enough damage to take out a JU-88 flying in a straight line to bomb him, and that is what a think is a problem, AA is more of a joke than a deterrent.

@@latlatko Yeah my bad you are right about the 20mm aspect, i just assumed it was the 37 mm due to the low rate of fire and thought they did some dice magic like on the "valentine AA MK I" regarding the mount.

Nvidia has "sponsored" quite a few BF5 players with 2080ti's after people were quite underwhelmed with the whole RTX thing... Funny thing is that almost none of the players who got a card plays with RTX on, this seems to be the first video of someone using it in multiplayer. But perhaps the condition was to make at least one multiplayer focused video with RTX on... Most other players who have gotten one have made like a "this is what RTX looks like"-video and then turned it off... says a bit about how valuable the feature is to this group of players.

In my Opinion the last plane patch is a disaster especially for the fighter planes. They are sooo weak now. With the bombers still much more easy getting MVP. Fighter planes no fun anymore. The ammo so sick reduced. Since the patch I wait a video about from you. What's your opinion about punish the fighter planes Nicca?

Niccaman whack. I tried to level up my spitfire. I hadnt unlocked any specializations and i had to disengage from a dogfight with a junkers because i ran out of bullets. Besides that flying bombers that carry bombs is so fucking boring now because the reload takes so long.

It was always an option. When we had 32 bombs, no other bomb was necessary. The guns were a welcome upgrade.

Also I learned a lot from your air to air combat, and I really wanna encounter you in game but I’m far at Asian server:”(( Personally I think JU-88 is still decent with 16x50kg and 500kg upgrade. Since all the planes was nerfed, the payloads of Ju88 still have no opponent. The strategy is to drop the payloads separately. First drop the 16x50kg, resupply, drop the 500kg, resupply... by the time you fly back, the CD of 16x50kg bombs is already coming up, so you drop them again. But make sure to drop all the same payloads before resupply, or it won’t go into CD. I normally played with my friends which flying BF109 G6 with spotting camera, it’s pretty much the only way to impact the ground battlefield as Luftwaffe... Britain side is the combination of spitfire VA(It’s still pretty good compares to bf109 g6 post-nerf) and Blenheim bomber withe spotting camera.

Have they announced when air squadron only battles will be released? I would love to dogfight without any AA interfering. Maybe a mode where the offensive team has bombers and fighters going to bomb an objective, and a defensive team with fighters trying to take out the bombers.

When I first maxed the Ju-88 when the game came out I was so hyped for the bottom side machine guns. I imagined AC-130 type support and was so devastated that they were garbage against infantry. Never even tried them against aircraft. That’s just ridiculous lol

The Waffenbehalter should be 20mm HE so it can do it's intended job; ground attack. It would be similar to one of the Ilya Muromets Bomber loadout from BF1.

They should remove Proximity Fuze mechanic from AA guns so only Direct Hit would do damage. That technology was still in development during ww2 and only used at some special occasions like for example to protect important Airfields.

Those reload times of bombs/rockets are a real pain in the ass if you use a spitfighter or BF109. To me , fighters were perfect for air and infantry targetting before the update but now it sometimes feels boring with the long loading times

The AC130 guns really need to be more effective against ground targets. It's really fun to meme with them in air-to-air combat but ultimately I rather have a spitfire or a BF109 in air-to-air combat.

actually i just found out why ju-88 feels weak now. its the talent tree, you should uncheck the 'instant wing damage repair' because that only heals 10% of your damaged plane & usually use for dogfights. if you uncheck it, it will automatically change to engine repair. old ju-88 used that talent & you still can pretty much tank AA, but not as tanky as it were since they buff the damage of anti air gun & veghicle

RTX looks gorgeous. Haven't had chance to play BFV much and planes even less. The grind to accrue points for upgrades is sooo painful against pilots who've had a head-start, especially entry level Spitfire vs Stuka. Damn those things are bullet sponges!

AA guns should be powerful, when infantryman use them its like a big ass flare for enemy snipers so its super risky to use one, and hitting a moving target by needing to lead shots like crazy. Strong AA's are good , was just right in BF1 , a good pilot could still win but it leveled the gap when some pilots were going 50-1 or more
