It's Don Krieg, 100% guys. That is the chapter we've been waiting for, his glorious return, to have a final stand-off, with his one and truly worthy enemy, the straw hats!
Nami sending Jinbei to look for Zoro cause she assumed he'd get lost after the fight with Lucci and not because he needs help really shows how much the Strahats gew
I appreciate that when Sanji is around Bonney he's given the _"Soft and kind"_ face he has when around Sora, mice, or children. Normally when he's up to his simp act he has a more cool, hard-boiled face. Im not sure if the Strawhats know how old she is, but Sanji is treating her like a little sister more than a woman which is appreciated. Has Sanji ever outwardly simped for Bonney? Maybe he's so refined he saw right through her act.
His observation works better with women, so It wouldn't be crazy to say that he can detect maturity. That way he can be a softy with girls, and a simp with women.
Grand Fleet has Luffy's vivre card. When Kaido "killed" luffy that led to Nika awakening, the Grnad Fleet could have seen the vivrecard almost vanishing and started moving towards him, giving them time to go to egghead in time
Seeing the panel of Vegapunk looking out at a destroyed Egghead and comparing it to when we first saw the city with Luffy fills me with not so happy feelings.
The celestials are so hellbent on keeping their dirty little secret that they are willing to set humanity back to the stone age for it. Broken in mind body and spirit, poor vegapunk.
In the anime, Luffy just arrived on Egghead and discovered the island and its marvels. This makes it hurt even more, it's just super fresh in my mind because of this.
I still think he's just playing along with Saturn and is actually on the good guys side or wavering. It's becoming more and more odd that he hasn't managed to capture, kill or seriously hurt anyone. My man cut a train in half and somehow managed to miss everyone inside perfectly.
@@MrNephthys17 more proof to me that he doesn't have the guts to do it himself. He instead let's the pacifista do it. I can't respect someone like that. By comparison Akainu may be a rat bastard, but he's one who truly follows his convictions and does his dirty work himself.
@@shadowmahesh9876 you do realize there's a buster call about to destroy the island? The marines are retreating so they don't get caught up in the shelling. Besides it was Saturn's decision to remain on Egghead.
@@bearzerger and you do know that kizaru and Saturn can’t die to it right, why else would they stay back. And the major news that happened on egghead might have something to do with saturn

That panel of Kizaru honestly makes me appreciate him way more as a character! It gives him so much depth! Flawed characters are best & most human characters!
@@the_doubletrap8325 But that's what makes Kizaru such a great character! He represents how evil is carried out not just by the really bad guys, but by neutral parties who allow it to happen. He goes along with what he is told to do despite his private misgivings because he is beaten down by the system. Where as Aokiji and Fujitora fight against the government, and Akainu and Green Bull embrace the government, Kuzan just passively goes along with it. Not everyone can be cool and bold rebels. Some people have just given up resisting.
well, the Sunny has the "coup de burst" option. i love the idea Lilith finding about it, and being in a complete shock, because even Vegapunk didnt think about changing a ship like this
Jinbe being sent to guide Zoro in the middle of the Egghead Incident as opposed to Jinbe not being sent to guide Zoro since he did not know about the directional cluelessness at the start of the Onigashima Raid is great continuity. Truly the character development we needed.
4:24 it's an incredible juxtaposition by Oda (intentional or not) as we JUST got the episode in the anime where Luffy, and thus, us the audience, see all of Egghead in beautiful color and the best display possible only for us to get a chapter where all of it is torn down by the main villains. I love it
I like the idea but, the marines said "THEY ARE COMING", meaning they know who this person is. Since enel has lived in the sky for most of his life , no blue sea people except the strawhats have seen him. So i don't think it's him though😅.
It’s gotta be the grand fleet. They probably wanted to find Luffy after becoming an Emperor they wanted to celebrate but now got caught up in the battle.
@@cesarkopp2 no he didnt die hard for me to understand why some people say he died just because kaido said so. kaido left him there to die in a close to death condition but he didnt
What if, during Luffy's fight with Kaido, Luffy's Vivre Card was burning like Ace's during Marineford, prompting the Grand Fleet to mobilize. That time span from Onigashima to Egghead would account for the Fleet's departure from approximately Dressrosa (or wherever) to follow Luffy's Vivre Card to Egghead just in time to counter the Buster Call. The first Buster Call in history to be overturned by the Fleet of an Emperor is such a cool idea, AND Morgans/Vivi could be right around the corner as well, so News Bird can catch the glory of all of it from the sky and do what he does best. There's potential here for Luffy to claim Egghead as his territory, sail to Elbaf with his Fleet AND Vivi in tow, positioning well to have pieces in place for the upcoming final confrontations for the One Piece. Definite series endgame material right there.
Honestly, considering Luffy "died" (huge quotation marks) during the battle with Kaido, I wondered if at some point the Vivre Card just completely disintegrated before popping back out of nowhere.
This right here is my train of thought as well. It would also be a moment of historic proportions like what it was said on Dressrosa. This right here would be the best panel in One Piece should it happen and would likely get more people to read the mange instead of waiting for the anime.
@@frankrivera4491 I think it could be absolutely insane if we get the Fleet. It's time to get everyone ready for the final battle, and this is a great way to do it
@@bradabdul You know what I'd like? The fleet appearing and making the save on Egghead, then instead of staying behind, having the entire fleet travel to Elbaf alongside the Strawhats - just to end up becoming part of a Davy Back Fight of gigantic proportions opposing Luffy and his allied crews to Shanks and his allied crews (that would also bring the pay-off for what we heard between Shanks and Bartolomeo).
Theory: Blackbeard is near Egghead since he recently defeated law on winnera island, so the blackbeard ship we saw could be his. Shanks said in chapter 1076 that they were just about to set off, maybe to egghead. We also know that the grand fleet has Luffys vivre card and since he died in Wano before his awakening they may have started moving towards strawhats to help them, thereby nesring egghead wich was close to Wano. What if all these three forces are moving towards egghead and the grandfleet takes care of the marines, Luffy, Zoro, Sanji take car of saturn, borsalino and lucci. Blackbead and Shanks battle, could be the fight between ”that person” and ”that person” Oda wrote about at jump festa. An all-out war between the government and three yonko, a world shaking event.
I would agree to most of it but I think the Grand Fleet is aware of luffy being Alive since everyone saw the new bountys etc. I dont think its them to come and help on egghead
If that happens then after luffy defeats saturn, maybe Blackbeard will try to attack straw hats as they all are worn out, Shanks will fight BB to protect them with Kuma (hopping he didn't died during dealing with saturn) and at last kuma will teleport Straw hats along with vegapunk and bonney to elbaf, bidding the final goodbye to bonney
it doenst make sense because if luffy sees BB he will want to kill him for sure. its too early for BB to appear. i would like to believe that its law because he knew where luffy is. another thing is that law knows something about the 4th ponegliph and thats what straw hat need. being said, i hope that law and polar bear joins the strawhats
He might not have mentioned it because Sanji *is not* "taking leadership", he is just doing basic things. You Sanji stans are trying way too hard to make the the tiniest things into chad moments.
He's still a victim to plot's stupidity, the main target is right in front of his eyes and he starts having small talk with him 😭 People start bringing excuses like "Saturn wants him to suffer".
@@Jestiiiit’s not an excuse. He loves to make people suffer. He could’ve killed Bonney and Kuma way earlier. But he enjoyed making their lives long and miserable

that analogy about Crocdile... is almost like there was something insede him that stoped him of finishing off Luffy... almost like an intuition or insticnt like a mother's insticnt....
I'm just realizing how dark this arc has been. The Elders and Imu have really demonstrated what Doflamingo said about justice. And with the way things are headed, I wouldn't be surprised if we end up seeing a tragic, bad ending that could rival even Marineford.
I think that the Strawhat Grand Fleet is coming. Remember that they have Luffy's Vivre cards and very recently due to almost dying it was probably acting up, which triggered them into action and they've been gunning for him since that time.
@@windwaker01something must have happened to the card when luffy died and I don't think it's been weeks since luffy left wano and reaching egghead and if it was actually weeks getting across the sea takes some time
I feel strongly about the straw hat grand fleet for the fact that we have the 9 vice admirals that were introduced in chp 1089 that are still on the ships. I feel like they would be good opponents for the straw hat grand fleet
I definitely think it’s the Grand Fleet… remember at the end of Dressrosa? The narrator said they would grow in power until eventually they cause a a great “incident.” I think Egghead is that incident. And the narrator mentioned earlier in Egghead an “event/incident that will shock the world.” Think about it. Luffy isn’t going to run. Let’s beat Kizaru and Saturn’s asses. NO MORE RUNNING! The Grand Fleet is about to show up and take out the Buster Call and Vice Admirals. It would also be a perfect transition into Elbaf considering Harjudin is from there and part of the Grand Fleet. It’s TIME.
@@roronoauchiha69 It refers to that Liam hasn't believed in the GrandFleet's arrival until now and things are looking so bad for Luffy and Co. on Egghead that even Liam is starting to think about that.
Honestly, I forget the Grand Fleet even exists. They were almost all tertiary characters who haven't really been relevant since that moment. But, Egghead (or something similar) seems to have been part of the original 5 year plan, cause a lot of set up has already been paid off, and the arc has felt like its progressing at a speed similar to pre-timeskip.
The grand fleet is met for more important things than running away. They are for the final battle, so people ask for them constantly too soon is annoying
Neo MAD is a option. We know they have formed. Germa has enough firepower to actually get stuff done and they aren’t too far away. Plus they have a reason to be there, getting the band back together. Also I’d love to see what Zoro thinks of Sanji’s siblings.
This would be perfect. They would be able to join with Vegapunk, complete his work in finding the power source and aiding the Strawhats in defeating the world government.
Caribou is a slimy guy so he looks for any opportunity that would benefit him and interacting or following the Strawhats has proven to be useful to him in some way
Imagine saturn being stuck on egghead alone in a pair of seastone cuffs while the buster call destroys everything around him, the vice admirals unknowingly ending one of the 5 elders. That would be glorious
seastone do not work on people that are masters in haki.. the thing luffy learned in wano that allowed him to break yamatos and his seastone cuffs and also hurt kaidou
@atapia2259 yamatos cuffs were booby trapped but they weren't seastone (if there was seastone in them there was very little of it), you've got some Mandela effect going on there. Marco in marineford and shawk are affected by seastone, big mom was affected by the seastone cuffs queen put on her in freaking wano and she's portrayed to be an equal to kaido
Imagine its the Strawhats, some giants, Law, the Kidd pirates, the Big Mom pirates, Sword, and hell maybe some grand fleet members taking on the BB pirates
@@dirkcoin1037 you never know bro After all, Caribou has been feeding Luffy at the most important times And having an Uber Eats delivery guy in the crew doesn't sound too bad of an Idea
Caribou must have realized the marines here have far more motivation than all the marines he previously encountered. Him being terrified makes sense for me.
Can we... can we just talk about senpai's art in this chapter? I'm blown away. The framing, the action, the character drawing. It's like Oda has taken the last year of all the accolades OP has been getting and instead of resting on his laurels, used it to power his comicking skills to the next level. Oda-senpai PLEASE RELEASE A BOOK ON MAKING MANGA AND REMEMBER US ENGLISH READERS PLEASE!!
On the possibility of the Grand Fleet, maybe they saw Luffy’s vivre card smolder a bit when he “died” on Onigashima and all set out to help? It’s been about a week or so in-universe since then, so that may be enough time for each of them to stop whatever they’re doing and go straight to Luffy
Vegapunk comes across as really dumb in this chapter, you would think that someone who saw the events of Ohara, and was working with the WG for decades would know what to expect from them, and yet he is shocked by everything Saturn tells him, seriously was beginning to think the name of the chapter was for him
I want it to be grand fleet more than bb pirates. Grand fleet arrives fight couple chapters sinks marine ships. And then blackbeard arrive and do something insane.
@@MayishGurung it's about number. In Marine Ford The 3 admirals must've been able to destroy all whitebeard fleet except 20 people. And whitebeard must've been able to destroy all marines except 20 or so by that logic. Luffy should've been able to beat all beast pirates in the raid too. Either way it's a fiction and in hands of oda. But I feel so many marine ships and the buster call is perfect timing to see might of the grand fleet. The strong characters will hold off one another and the battle of numbers can ensue. If oda chooses so.
Atlas is honestly my favorite Vegapunk. Shes the embodiment of violence yet is so friendly deciding to feed some random strangers invading her island. The panel where she says she would feed Luffy if she could move really shows that she's more concerned with helping out Luffy than her own survival which I love. Also the anime shows us that shes insanely huge the manga does not emphasize that enough. That being said, if she dies I'm throwing hands with Oda I don't care what happens to any other Vegapunk but if she dies I'm gonna be so sad. Side note: On the very slight possibility of one of the Vegapunks joining the crew (I've seen worse theories) I would love Atlas as a crewmember she has the combined personality traits of Nami and Robin and I could see a scenario where only one or two Vegapunks remain after Egghead and one tags along with the Straw Hats because where is safer than on an Emperor's ship. (yeah Elbaf is safe but you gotta split up just to be sure)
13:15 because they saw Luffy's vivecard shrink down to nothing after Luffy's death before his ressurection thanks to Gear 5 . They swear to go help him if he were in trouble but like you said they're not close to Wano so it took them a dozen of days to come. Sadly Luffy's crew left for Egghead before they could met so the fleet is only catching up to him now in this chapter !
I'm kind of a fan of what Ohara theorized. That it's either Saul and Shanks or it's Kuzan on its own. Both Saul and Kuzan were present at the Ohara incident and I could imagine that both of them wouldn't like it if history repeats.
As much as I’ve come to be on board with any and all Swamp Nakama theories, there is still one other ally on the island whose whereabouts we currently don’t know: Stussy. She was nowhere to be seen in this chapter, and she’s very good going unnoticed when she wants to be. She could have snuck onto the battlefield to help Luffy.
She got injured by Luccis's attack. It seemed quite serious attack on her and I hardly think she could contribute to help luffy in that short amount of time
It might actually be giants coming for Vegapunk's Ancient tech before the Buster call can destroy it. Giants know it's on Egghead and they collect Void and pre-void Century things. And they can sail to the nextdoor island in less than the amount of time since Morgan's Newspaper article placed Luffy and the Marines on Egghead yesterday. It could smooth us unexpectedly into the Elbaf Arc, too.
I also think/hope it might also be Dragon and the revolutionaries. This is the perfect time for Dragon to finally make an appearance in front of Luffy again. He has connections with several people there like luffy, kuma and Vegapunk; This arc is the epitome of the world governments corruption they are fighting with the threat at the highest level and they would wanna stop it from being another Ohara situation; and there is a reason for him to be there as they may have followed after Kuma. Hopefully they have a travel ability too It would be cool if it was the grand fleet but I would wonder how and why they were there
this is a good theory, and since we learned that kuma is bonney dad, it would be interesting for luffy to meet his dad and by speaking with him he gets to know who his mom is. i still believe that luffy and bonney have the same mother because both love meat like her and we know that dragon spend years with ginny at the revolutionaries. i also think that bonney is ginny clone due to the fact that she got into experiments, so i believe she didnt born naturally.
That marine ship on the last panel was cut in half. I think that is a signature scene for Mihawk's arrival. Cross Guild can add to their notoriety by busting the buster call. I believe Crocodile is still well connected in the world of criminals and espionage so he might have known what's going on there, or maybe they only wanted to raid Egghead. Would be so in character for Buggy to 'take down' an elder accidently.
Here's a far left field theory for you: The new arrivals to Egghead are Mad Monk Urouge and his band of pirates. He can get there in time (because we have no idea where he is), his crew is notorious enough to simply be referred to as "they", and he is more than strong enough to take out a single battleship. The only real point we are missing is a motive. But, Urouge is an abnormally large man. What if he is actually an earlier version of Vegapunk using Buccaneer DNA spliced with Skypiean. He was in the area and heard Vegapunk was being held captive and came to see what was going on.
That's interesting ! Maybe the motive has something to do with religion, Urouge seems to be a religious man and the theme of the saviour Nika is very present in egghead. Maybe he saw the new poster of Luffy and recognized Nika or he knows what is going on, IDK!
Damn i would loooove it. I rewatch One Piece with a good friend, and we are on Sabaody where the Supernovae are first introduced. And i thought to myself, what will happening with Urouge and when? This would be awesome!! I love your Way to think mate!
I like to think that the Straw Hat Grand Fleet is who showed up to Egg Head. There was talk of them finally having an influence in this arc a few months back so maybe they’ve shown up to help Luffy escape
I saw someone suggest that it could be Neo MADS, that Judge is headed to Egghead to pick up Vegapunk to force him to join up with them again. Maybe they also swung by Wano to pick up Queen 🤷♀️
Saturn really is taking the Bane approach: “Now you have my permission to die” Also, I think Oda will make us wait until after the break to resolve these issues.
I think it could be smoker and/or fujitora, they both have ties to egghead and vegapunk and have the ability to solve all of the problems occurring rn Could also show why oda showed a marine flag in the last panel
I could imagine that the grand fleet made the decision to come together when they got the news that Luffy is a yonkou. They called each outher and then followed the Vivre card
It would be absolutely wild but what if Law survived his tragic fate thanks to the efforts of Bepo and are the ones actually heading to Egghead using a stolen vessel from the Blackbeard pirates.
it wont be him. it would be so weird he left wano without wanting to see luffy to see him just now. that doesnt make sense. maybe its law with kid, dont know, since they lost their ships
I think it could still be the revolutionary army. At the start of the arc, logic was speaking with dragon about what was about to happen on egghead, so it make sense that Dragon could have sent a rescue ship(s) immediately after that call and a good time before we see Kuma take off. With how large the RA is, it would make sense for there to be some ships already nearby as well, farther making any time restraints a nonfactor.
The Grand Fleet mobilising makes sense to me. In Wano Luffy's vivre card must have nearly burnt to a crisp when he 'died' vs Kaido. So, they should probably be on their way already.
YES! The problem here is Oda’s usage of time. How long has it been since the Kaido fight? A day or two? In theory, unless it did take longer than that to get to Egghead, there’s no way they get there. That is unless the vivre card got weird after their first encounter, when Luffy got knocked out. If that’s the case there’s a possibility, but I don’t think it works like that. But they may be on their way and will end up meeting in elbaf
@@roronoauchiha69 It very much might have. They stayed on Wano for several days after fighting Kaido and then it would takew several days just sailing to the next island (Egghead).
It's interesting, because Kizaru hasn't been surprised by anything Saturn can do. So, I'm sure he's seen the full display of power of the Gorosei (and maybe IMU?) and probably just thinks it impossible to resist them. So, he may turn tail if Luffy is able to defeat Saturn and becomes a Joy Boy to Kizaru by freeing him from his chains to the world government. Just a thought.
It would explain why he has the 4th Road Poneglyph but the man marked by flames is supposed to be sailing on an all-black ship. Heavily implied to be Dragon's ship but, at this point, I don't even know if Dragon has anything to do with the Poneglyphs.
In anime we only saw Egg Head this sunday Luffy and Others looking amazed seeing it and in manga We see Vegapunk looking at Egg Head all his work and world's future going up in flames!
The man marked by fire that vega punk saved makes way more sense... Wanted it to be dragon but that made more sense 😅... Damn deadbeat wud never for the love of moms guh check on his son dwfl😂😂😂
I will say when you suggested grand fleet members showing up I got really excited. I think Oda should absolutely introduce them in a similar way. A lot of bad that we can't solve easily and then suddenly grand fleet members swoop in to turn tables for us. Love that idea.
Its 1 month by ship ship between Komabaca Queendom and Egghead though Kuma can move things up to light speed with his Paw Paw powers but that be fatal so he could only whack him self the max speed he can survive to arrive in about a day Marineford to G14 is 3 weeks, Dessarossa to Egghead is 17 days, WCI to Egghead is 10 days
That doesn’t really make sense. Why would they be here then be arriving? It’s like the same BS when he came to “Saturn already on egghead, destroying the cameras”, but then arriving with the marines
would be a very awesome transition into the Elbalf arc to see a AOT rumbling esc event where hundreds of giants march through egg head and the reappearance of Shanks
Remember when Mihawk said Luffy's strongest ability is his ability to get people to ally with him. I believe Kizaru being torn and unclear about what he wants to do is a clue, somehow, a revived Luffy will get him to turn at the last minute, when all possible scenarios are clear and safe to act. Thus allowing Kizaru to "see the light". Maybe that will finally be a good chance to show a Logia awakening as well.
Well, I'll just dump my list here of possibilities, roughly in order of likelihood: 1. It is a element of the grand fleet. Not the whole GF, just some element or two of it. 2. It is just the BB pirates. While I don't expect them to directly aid the SHs, I suspect the chaos they cause will aid indirectly. 3. It is a detachment form Elbaf. The SHs have a number of giants who are sympathetic so I can see them coming to aid. I particularly see this as a good combo with 1 since one such giant is in the GF. 4. It is Sword, ie Coby. Now we're getting into the long shots as I don't see Coby taking out a marine ship, but they are in the area and I can't see them being okay with a buster call. That said they are also pretty exhausted so we're getting pretty doubtful. 5. It is Law/Kidd. Again they are in the area, and both just got wrecked. I don't think Kidd is dead, but he's definitely wrecked. Both need someplace to go so I could see them retreating to join Luffy and just getting caught up in this. That said, we just had a big alliance with them in the last arc so very unlikely. And even if it is one or both, who they traveling with? 6. It is Boa. She said she has to leave Lily and she wanted to join Luffy. That said it is damn fast for her to show up, not impossible, but highly unlikely. Plus, who is she traveling with if so? More likely I see her joining up with the RA or Cross Guild. 7. It is Shanks. Again he's in the area and he is the kind to get involved, but hey we just had him get involved in the last arc so yeah, I don't see a repeat happening here. 8. It is Cross Guild... Now I think we're down to the 'like hell' odds. They are a big faction so I could see it, but it is so far out there, and what big guns do they truly have? Basically Mihawk and that's it. 9. It is an element of the RA. Now yeah, the main body of the RA is 0 odds here unless they pull some weird power BS out of their butt, but some element of the RA maybe. Still insanely doubtful. 10. Okay, now just for a completely off the wall theory, it is remnants of the Big Mom Pirates. These guys actually were not properly dealt with unlike the Kaido's bunch, so it isn't impossible... but yeah, why the hell would they be here?! 11. And just for extra giggles, it's Yamato! Okay, she speed ran her run around Wano and is coming to join up! Yep, yep, yep, totally going to happen! Yeah no LOL. 12. And lastly for even more giggles, it is obviously Enel! And somehow, I will be completely wrong even with this long ass list. :D
If it will be Blackbeard, Kizaru will have a hard time fighting against him. Irl a black hole absorbs everything but lights most of all. Since Kizaru is lightweight in his logia form, he will be more susceptible to Teach's powers.
It'd be a very cool scene to have Kizaru being aware of what happens when Teach has a hold of you and tries to lightspeed away, but Teach's black vortex manages to pull him in anyways
@@MarcyTheKindaCoolWizard Another possibility is Kizaru tries blind Teach using his magatama attack only for the beams being absorbed by Teach using black hole. Imagine Kizaru doing Enel's surprised face.
My main theory is Blackbeard with the goal to kidnap Robin to have Pudding take her memories. Since its known Robin can read poneglyphs. Second is suprisingly Moria on a stolen Blackbeard ship. Hopefully seeing Moria's true power if he got the Uncle Iroh prison training. He has good reason to hate Blackbeard after he killed Absalom and bragged about it.
I love the Idea, i rewatched Thriller Bark with a friend and Gecko Moria was a great Villain, but so much driven by his arrogance. But now it would be so lovely for him to have a redemption Arc and help the Strawhats. It is so unlikely, but if i am honest, i expect the unexpected when Oda plans something xD
@@FrarmerFrankno he's implying that they're the ones on that Blackbeard's ship we saw earlier in the arc while the ones who are coming to Egghead Island are the Blackbeard Pirates in pursuit of them.
I could actually see this. Moria has a good motivation to help after all! Luffy beat Kaido, the man who killed Moira's old crew! Moira could feel he owes Luffy a debt and, somehow discovering the Egghead Fiasco, decides to head over there and give him some assistance. Considering he overthrew the man that pretty much mentally scared him for life, I doubt he's gonna hold a grudge for the Thriller Bark incident. Also, Perona might have gotten him to chill after telling him about her time with Zoro.
you got to take into account that luffy on wano almost died multiple times so his vivre card was probably on fire for alot of that arc, and the grand fleet does have his card. its feasibly the grand fleet decided to set sail to help didnt get there in time for wano then heard about the egg head incident and decided to help now
I have 2 options: - Blackbeard, the same crew who beat Law. - Moria+Perona+others, when Koby scaped she was in the BB island, they could pick one of BB ships and sail away to Egghead because reasons.
I'd Imagine that it would be Jaguar D Saul coming maybe with the Strawhat fleet but that would be a good easy tie in to go to Elbaf right after, probably the only place Vegapunk could be safe
In chapter 1071 Vegapunk called someone who was hiding out on the island for help, unless I missed something we never found out who that was. Wouldn't that be the most likely candidate for someone saving the scientists ship?
If Luffy seemingly moved without anyone noticing, I wonder if maybe Law is hiding out on egghead and used his DF ability to move Luffy to the food. As far as we know, Law is still alive and the previous Black Beard ship may have been on the chase but called it off once they came into proximity of egghead and the unfolding incident.
Maybe Kizaru will turn out to be a kind of Michael Douglas in "Falling Down", and completely loose it when pushed over the edge. That would certainly be interesting to see Mr. Cool loose his temper.
Imagine if it was Shanks and crew arriving at Egghead. Last time we saw them, they were leaving Elbaf so I think it’d be cool to see them show up at Egghead last second.
