Nobody asked for this. People who watched the one and only Gladiator know that there never can be a sequel... unless we are in Elysium! And we are already dead!
I was watching it from the perspective of a Historian. I made a little review based on that element if anyone is curious. And yes, I think you can still make a great movie that is not historical accurate. The first Gladiator is a great example. Napoleon not so much. lol
Ridley Scott is such a hit or miss director you never know what you’re going to get until you get it. Always interested when I hear he’s doing something new, but I’m never excited about it.
My dude, Roman Empire was as multiethnic as it gets. Rome was awash with people from all the provinces controlled by the Roman Empire. Be it Europe, west of Asia or North Africa And though the empire was generally racist, but it was generally not color based. White people of European descent still got enslaved. Some aristocrats in Rome were force rot from northern African provinces, today’s Tunisia and Libya Don’t base your history on comedy movies or 1950s productions were everybody was when playing Moses or Genghis khan
