Allegra did such a good work voicing Acheron. Hoyo did a perfect casting with her. That last "oh, those guys" is so condescending and indifferent at the same time. She's so amazing!

"Honkai is their favorite, huh?" To be fair, Honkai Impact 3rd is the game that really let the company ascend to world wide success. I'm not denying that Genshin had far more commercial successes than HI3, but Honkai was their initial muse that brought Hoyoverse fame and fortune. It's also probably more of a passion project for Dawei, where Genshin is probably a bit more market research driven. Anyone else remember it's "Waifu if the Wild" nickname?
Genshin was supposed to be HI4 but it became a separate part in the overall narrative for marketing and investors appeal. Not sure how different they’re in Dawei’s eyes since for him is all different universes in the same system.

Acheron is probably an emanator of Nihility. Nihility is the nothingness, black hole that swallows every, even parts of their followers self, their memories. That’s why Acheron keeps forgetting things. As Black Swan peered inside Acherons memories the abyss inside it looked back. Let’s not forget that garden of recollection members like Black Swan are basically beings formed out of memory. So having her memories ripped into the empty void would kill her.
Just a little fun fact about the Tango, these two are obviously dancing. It was originally meant for two women. A choreography for the inherent sensuality that is the female form. And it's supposed to be this slow and deliberate.

Even though you are not a lore streamer specialist (like others who go pretty deep into theory crafting, etc.) you grasp the little details so well and I feel you understand the story of the characters in an amazing way. Loved it. I saw another streamer called Murderofbirds and as a HI3 player he gave a good video explaining the lore text

And at the end of the trailer you see her unsheathing her sword and his aura of black red and white starts to spread. So maybe she becomes her black red and white self when she really needs to kill something or one?
Cy you probably have no clue what Moulin Rouge is but the best song in the movie is called El Tango de Roxanne, and I'm pretty sure the music in this animation is based on it. I like to consider Moulin Rouge as an honorary queer movie so that makes this 10x better lmao

Alot of people are missing it. When she asks, "What have you done?" It's not Acheron in the present that asks, it's her switched version in the past. (Also can be seen by the multiple versions of Duke, we are moving back in time to Acheron right after she committed the act.) "Excuse me.. Are you asking me?" As if to clarify which version of Acheron is Black Swan asking. (Meanwhile the present Acheron continues to dance, unaware, the trials Black Swan is going through). We are also told by Adventurine she brings "Finality." A quirk of the Aeon of Finality is that he travels backward in time mumuring a prophecy. Acheron is, all but confirmed, the emenator of nihility. Black Swan comes face-to-face with IX BUT we, ourselves, have also faced IX in Simulated Universe. When you meet IX it immediately ends your run. Black Swan suffered the same fate by being sucked into the black hole.
*CY YU* That looks cool, but I bet in Zenless Zone Zero, you couldn't dance the tango with Lycaon as a male fox character (if you get the chance to play him someday) and talk about how a wolf and a fox aren't so different.

Yeah, uh, a number of dances have that effect. They can make the dance pair give off the illusion of intimacy. I definitely recommend looking them up on RU-vid and seeing for yourself. But yeah, no, for Black Swan, the dance is definitely a means to an end for her as well, since she's inquiring about Ifrit and Acheron's identity.
And just like that, Duke Inferno boiled down to nothing more than a plot device, with a sole purpose of setting up Acheron... GOD! IM SO MAD BRO XD! Also If I had a nickel for every time Raiden Mei expy evicerated an elemental/energy being of fire, that was way too overconfident. I would have 2 nickles, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happend twice 🤔
I totally agree with you! It was all in Acheron's mind, after all, so she never hurt Black Swan physically! I think that they never saw the interaction between Kiana and Mei in Honkai
