I feel like if they just removed the ability to change direction mid-air, then bunny hopping would immediately be fine. Cry if you want to but especially with the netcode as bad as it is, it's a problem. When I play this game and some coked out dude with 500 ping comes zig-zagging around a corner and 1-shot body shoots me with a Tac-50, I don't know how anyone is expected to "get good". Anyone spouting that as if it's some sort of legitimate response to this kind of criticism is either a teenager, a content creator, or someone who doesn't have anything else to "get good" at in life but video games. Maybe all 3. Get some perspective outside your own.
YES. This is exactly what I've been saying, and I'm glad someone else notices it. You can literally do like 180 degrees of a full circle changing your movement mid air after a jump, I tested it myself. And that's just not proper physics, I'm sorry, and because of that, it makes it near impossible to track players when they wanna jump around like crack heads. That coupled with what I personally think is an overly slow TTK, just makes it impossible to play some matches. Like most of the SMGs take 8-10 shots to kill even at a reasonable short-medium range. I'm sorry but if I'm running my MP5 and the other guy is jumping around like a crack head, I'm sorry but 90% of the time I'm not winning that gunfight.
Bunny hopping needs to be nerfed, seriously. I be in engagements where the enemy is jumping the entire gunfight. Like the whole time. It's annoying and stupid. They need to make the penalty for bunny hopping more than just ADS sway. It needs to be something so severe that it makes the player subconsciously aware of the excessive bunny hopping. I even jump. I jump around corners or when an enemy appears out of nowhere in front of me, i jump towards him and turn around to see his back and i start shooting. Those are skill ways of using bunny hop...but hopping around like a grasshopper during a frontal aasult the entire gunfight is stupid and not skillful.
The aim assist is too strong, and the snipers are still one shot kills. This means quick scoping need no skill. Just aim somewhere around them, ads, and pull trigger... Pathetic. They only need 2 bunny hops degrade the 2nd one. Stop the ability to change directions mid-air. Devs should be embarrassed they exploited your game so fast and bad 🤦♂️
They need to fix snipers. From what ive used them the flinch just seems bugged in multiple ways. Because there are times where you do get shot and the gun does indeed have flinch. But a majority of the time it just seems like it does not have flinch. When you get the flinch it makes it almost impossible to hit the shot but if its bugged and almost never there obviously it will seem op.
I actually went against a team that got me with three spider at the same time. I shoot one off my face, then the second one sticks on and after I shoot it off the third one stuck and I almost just turned off the game lol it's just annoying 😅
The biggest problem is the netcode when someone is bouncing around. You can be tracking them and your shots don't register for whatever reason, or you just get client-side hitmarkers but you're doing no damage.
Realistically this is it, this is why bhopping is so OP but you gotta understand mate there NEVER going to need bhopping either get a controller w paddles or stop playing the game because the netcode is NEVER going to get better 😊
@EdgarLinna it's perfectly reasonable to comment on things that you may not like. for example, you are here complaining about me 🤷♂️😅 like I said before, bunny hopping is annoying but not impossible to deal with. For the heath and longevity of the game I feel it would be better with a nerf than as in its current state, certainly how it was before. While playable, they are killable, it becomes a required play style to combat. Similarly the state of snipers, with very little flinch and time to kill most games turn into a lobby of snipers as it tends to be a one to two shot kill with minimal skill needed. I mean, why wouldn't someone do that if they're just going to not fix it 🤣 no game is perfect. Whether they fix it or not is fine. It does not appear they intended on this to be a factor in their game and are taking measures to fix it. I'm stating my preference on the matter. 🤷♂️

the b hop is strongest at the first two jumps. so nerfing the third jump would not matter. also if you crouch spam u can crouch 5 or 6 times before the sway effect kicks in. the opitmal movement would be the following sprint with pistol,slide, switch to main gun immediately after,then jump, then jump in the opposite direction then strafe the opposite direction the crouch and switch direction again. this is the optimal movement you will shoot after the first jump. any question pls ask. also i am down for a debate. my grammer is bad so it might sound confusing it easier then it sounds
If you want a shooter where gravity and physics don’t matter. There are games where you can jump and hop around until your heart’s delight. I would love one where corners and strategic movements rule. Just me tho. 🤷🏾♂️
I had an echelon wall hacks the other day, and four, FOUR people all slid and jumped around. It seriously looked so silly stupid. This is an arcade shooter, and movement should be important. But I just cannot get behind all the silly jumping and crouching in every gun fight. I am not a terrible player, but by no means a great player. I really want another game that feels like black ops 2, and this could be it if it wasn’t for all the silly bunny jumping.

Bunny hoping it’s funny you say this. I was literally smacked a few hours ago gun literally went 10/10 in gunfight against me and literally spammed hopped every single time. Plus the netcode and overall wocky movement in the game. When I was in the 25 and under lobbies the game felt good then now I just get smacked it makes no sense
Because in the under 25 playlist youre playing with sbmm. Youre playing with other bad players. Every other playlist doesnt have sbmm so youre playing with the general population. Not tryna talk shit, you can and will get better if you dont blame the game or others and focus on your own errors.
Making it so you have to focus more on your actual gun skills and not spamming a mechanic isn’t slowing the game down. Use some strategy and get better

Also the player search time is atrocious..I spend more time waiting than actually playing and I put a timer on the waiting...longest wait sofar approx 6-7 min...mostly like 2 to 4 min seems the norm
These exact same complaints about jumping have been voiced in every Call of Duty subreddit for the past 5 years. These posts are always insanely popular and upvoted to the moon. Bear in mind, COD is slower than this game, and people *STILL* complain nonstop about it. Moving the sway penalty to third jump won't do anything. Against a good player, you're dead after the first or second jump. The people complaining the loudest just think they deserve to be better at the game than they are, and they can't accept that the other person is better than them. "He shouldn't have killed me. He's abusing cheap tactics. He's playing dishonorably. He takes this game too seriously! He has no life! It's not fun to play like that." Those are all just excuses for why you died. With all that said, I'm not opposed to something like stronger jump fatigue or greater mid-air inertia (though I very much hate the random sway penalty). I just need to get it off my chest that nothing they can do short of removing the ability to jump entirely will make these complaints cease.
The solution to spider bot is #1 take cover concealment gives u more time even if it’s seconds #2 spider bot pounces on u look down and shoot stand still behind cover let it pounces aim down and shoot #3 if u try running from the spider bot in some circumstances the bot lags out causing a glitch where u are unable to shoot it off.. so add it up u hear or see spider bot run to cover stop let it pounce aim down and shoot it off 😂😂😂😂😂 if u play with every class u learn how to counter that class
bunny hopping is complete garbage. these games have catered to the "movement" crowd and it's no longer about gun skill, but "breaking cameras" and spastic movement. It's an annoying trend in modern FPS games.

Ive noticed some type of increase in flinch recently on AR and Lmgs that was way less extreme about a week ago, at first I thought that I was seeing the aim sway after jumping and that it was stealth nerfed but I think what happened is desync is sometimes causing flinch to kick in before you engage in a gunfight where on the enemy screen, you are already getting hit As much as i want to play ranked i feel like desync will hurt it, dont even get me started on cheating... I think desync improvements over time will improve the feeling of shooting at jumping or moving players
I swear this game looks like it could be played on a ps3. They should've just put all hands on deck with the net code i dropped it mostly because of that but i also realized XDefiant is just another generic arcade champion shooter it brings nothing new i haven't seen before in other games.
I unfortunately cannot play it because I'm stuck on PS4, so I can't give a real opinion based on direct experience. But IMO, bunny hopping shouldn't be nerfed any further, I hate seeing movement nerfed into the ground because bad players can't react or aim fast enough to deal with it. As far as the abilities to see others through walls, it seems it's a bit op. Something can be tweaked with that, whether it just gives a snapshot of their location in place and not following, limiting how many people can use it, or at least give something that can completely counter it. Back in the day you could completely stealth yourself in cods, cold blooded kept you off radar and kept you out of kill streaks view, and ninja pro gave you silent feet and kept you off heartbeat sensors. New cods, don't let you become truly stealthy, you'd need more perks from the same slot then you are allowed and it's dumb as hell. It's the same deal here, you need to be able to counter that ability, both of them really. Whether they add a new character with that as a passive ability or come up with something else. I could see that being really annoying if spammed. Personally killcams would be a good addition as well, ok it doesn't need to be cod, but seeing how you were killed can be important for others figuring out angles and other things, both a counter to those abilities and killcams can also potentially expose any cheaters, but will also undoubtedly let plenty of baseless accusations fly as well. Lol the biggest thing they could change for me is releasing it on PS4, but I guess it'd be too low quality or something. I'd still take a 60fps low graphics version... I'll bet it's the xbox one that didn't perform well enough, based on my experience on several games, it's clearly not as capable as a PS4
They have improved the netcode since launch already with a couple patches. I feel if you still complaining about something at this point its a skill issue and just go back to cod. I really dont understand when the devs are listentand fixing in real time.
Dont defend the netcode.. its better than launch sure, but its still one of the worst netcodes from a big fps game on the market. Think what you will, it is THE complaint that everyone wants fixed. if they cant get it fixed before season 4 this game will be very likely dead in the water.
Its not skill, literally the people use controllers with aditional buttons. If you have a normal controller good luck changing your finguer between jump and aim jostyck

Agree, i was on the boat to nerf the jump spaming, but i think the nerf oddly enough did it for the most part.99% of people i have fought only jump mostly once.
That fight is over before the 1st jump ... majority of my engagements i have the llife lead. I shot him more times then he jumps then im dead. Or they jump immediately granted i-frames and im one shot by a smg or pistol. One shot? sure whatever man gg It b.s... i got my ads faster and he panics and starts hopping around like Bucky O'hare. Its looks so smoothed brain its the most remedial thing to see or do in a gunfight. Even the goofy jump around the corners like ' ahhhhhh gotcha" ....because im this big red mike & ike and thier team has walls im mean intel suit. Stick to traditional boots on the ground, oblective based gameplay let the kids jump in COD. Im the type of player that will give the "thumbs up" if its a legit clean kill im not a hater i respect good gameplay.
From what I know of XD I like the game that it exists , but I can't stand the long TTK. Guns that take more than 3-5 shots to kill should be the standard and from what I know XD takes WAY longer so while no SBMM is amazing , it's a pass for me
To the B hopping and spiderbot cry babies I say stop being a bitch about it. Both are very easy to counter. They're annoying sure but people are making way too big of a deal about it. Also almost every fps game has netcode issues. I just got done playing the original Black Ops and I was dying around corners in that game too. There's some minor hit register things they need to fix but it's definitely not in every lobby and most people complaining about it just suck at aiming
People need to stop whining over core game mechanics. Bunny hopping is part of the core gameplay. You guys need to play Enlisted or Isonzo if you want boots on the ground cheeks.

they should not nerf movement, if anything they need to add more movement options, if you want a slow game play rainbow 6, val, or mw2, you already have options. If movement in xdefiant is nerfed more i myself and many of my friends will be quitting the game all together, and we spend, so they will be losing money doing this.. And im sure many others will too.
Just needs to be tweaked so people don’t have such a Big Crunch I use it sometimes and it practically makes me invincible but it’s dull and cheesy it’s like playing on easy with no skill needed
