And I watched Dennis Elliot in 1971, when he was in the English Jazz-Rock band "IF", before later on in about 1976 joined Foreigner, also Ian McDonald, who was in King Crimson before. Always liked the songs and sounds of Foreigner, songs were real great and cathchy too, an nice kind of Rock music.
They are NOT IN YET!!! Omg the first album that was bought for me as a Christmas present from my brother Markie. I know he must have hated himself because my brothers had the only record player and I kept going in there to play it again.Sorry Mark and Pat.
@@daveheesen9174 Lou didn't suffer double vision from playing in a hockey game. They heard an announcer say it about a player during a hockey game that they were watching on TV.

LONG, LONG WAY FROM HOME, URGENT, and my favorite from their late 8o's run CANT WAIT are still in the chamber to be fired up by Rob Squad. Thank you for this banger. Lou Gramm is the lead singer. Mick Jones on guitar. Keep going and enjoy the music
I LOVE THESE GUYS! It is such a travesty that it has taken them until this year to get inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but FINALLY! They get the recognition they clearly deserve! Blue Morning, Blue Day is a definite next reaction for you two!
Hey guys! "Double Vision" is my #1 favorite song by Foreigner. Fun story: Guitarist and founder Mick Jones got the song inspiration while watching a NY Rangers hockey game. The team's goalie, John Davidson, was hit in the head by a puck during the game. It was announced he had to leave the game due to experiencing "double vision". And a great Foreigner song was born! Also, the lead singer is named Lou Gramm. One of classic/arena rock's great voices. Peace, guys. ✨️🕊✨️
Some of the greatest rock and roll ever recorded, The entire Double Vision album is fantastic! Side 1 1. Hot Blooded 2. Blue Morning, Blue Day 3. You're All I Am 4. Back Where You Belong 5. Love Has Taken Its Toll Side 2 1. Double Vision 2. Tramontame 3. I Have Waited So Long 4. Lonely Children 5. Spellbinder
Born in ‘72 and Chicago, Styx, Queen and Foreigner and some ELO really got me into rock! Even though my first real rock song I remember hearing was Dream On when I was 6 and I LOVED that song!!
Their whole first album has hit after hit after hit. Feels Like The First Time, Starrider, Headknocker, At War With The World, Long Long Way From Home....just a few of the bangers on that album.
Foreigner on this album (1978): Lou Gramm - lead vocals, percussion Mick Jones - lead guitar, backing vocals, acoustic piano, lead vocals (Tracks 4 & 8) Ian McDonald - guitars, keyboards, reeds, vocals (sax on this song) Al Greenwood - keyboards Ed Gagliardi - bass, vocals Dennis Elliott - drums Additional musicians Ian Lloyd - backing vocals David Paich - string arrangements (Keyboardist from Toto) Production Producers - Mick Jones, Ian McDonald and Keith Olsen.
Lou Graham is the lead singer, Mick Jones Lead Guitarist, Drummer Dennis Elliot, keyboardist Al Greenwood and Ian McDonald Guitarist and founding member of King Crimson.
One of their best choruses is from a song from their first album Foreigner , and the track is called Starrider . I guarantee you will love this one ! A true hidden gem from them !! There is a great Live version on RU-vid .
I'm also a big fan of Rev on the red line, Jay and Amber might want to start a deep track Channel, where they play some songs people suggests that weren't necessarily the big hits
Have you delved into Lou Graham's solo hits yet like, "Midnight Blue" and "Just Between You and Me." The first is more rockin' than the second, but the second is so good for its own reasons.
Head Games, Blue Morning Blue Day, Long, Long Way From Home, Love Has Taken It's Toll, and Break It Up are all great songs of theirs! Thanks for the classic rock!
Also, I believe their most underrated song is a power ballad called Heaven On Our Side. A great song that really shows off Lou Grahams vocals! For some reason, it's not on Spotify.
Foreigner came out the gates strong with their debut album. With 3 Americans and 3 Brits on the band, they knew they would be at least partially foreigners no matter what country they toured in ,,. hence their name. From their debut album, here are some songs to check out: "Feels Like the First Time" "Cold as Ice" "Starrider" "Headknocker" "The Damage Is Done" "Long, Long Way from Home" "Woman Oh Woman" "At War with the World" "Fool for You Anyway" "I Need You"
Lou Gramm is a drummer, but he didn't play drums in Foreigner, he's the singer and Mick Jones is the lead guitarist. Those two co-wrote most of Foreigner's songs. They are in the Song Writers Hall of Fame. Foreigner is so good, I saw them in concert in the early 80's, so good! Here's some more bangers for you to give a listen to, Long, Long Way from Home, Head Games, Blue Morning Blue Day, and Dirty White Boy. Keep up the good work!
Dennes Elliot is the drummer. Lou Gramm is the lead vocalist and often co song writer, but the genius and creation of Foreigner and there sound and all of the examples you speak of is guitarist, main song writer and producer (for other bands as well, Billy Joel for example) Mick Jones. He also played most of the keyboards during recording, and live after the first two records when they went from a six piece to a four piece band. Mick came up with the name because when the formed they were exactly half British, Mick, and half American, Lou is from NY, so wherever they went, they were always foreigners to an extent. Mick was forming a new band and got a hold of a Domo of Lou's old band "Black Sheep" and thought, "my god, that's a voice". I think their best album is Head Games, from which you have not touched yet. Thanks guys. Peace.
I was 12 years old when this song came out. Our school had a juke box in the cafeteria (how cool is that?) and I'd always bring change to play this song or Hot Blooded 😁
Another Foreigner song to hit: "Long, Long Way From Home". It's a short song with a powerful punch. An excellent song. Second in my mind only to "Double Vision". Peace, guys. ✨️🕊✨️
I love foreigner. I saw them in indy for the agent provocateur tour. It was one of the first laser light shows i remember seeing and they were the first band i ever saw that put out a shirt with a glow in the dark logo on it.
Lou has one of my favorite voices of all time. songs like "Lost in the Shadows" from the movie Lost Boys & "Don't let go" & "That was Yesterday" and off their first LP "Long long way from home"
Rob & Amber - Thank You. I just love watching & listening to you as you're bopping your heads and flashing those GORGEOUS Smiles!!! Cheers from Vancouver, Canada!!
Speaking of 70s bands you should check out, The Babys, a British rock band. Two of their big hits include Isn't It Time and Everytime I Think of You. You've played lead singer John Waite's 80s hit, Missing You.
Amber ,check foreigner, long long way from home. You'll love the Sax and bass. This song play constantly at the Pinball place we all went to in the 70s 😂, enjoy
Incredible song and band!! So many great songs for certain. Lou Gramm is from my hometown of Rochester, NY. This is the around 1978 when they were packing arenas. Foreigner was everywhere and this continued with more big hits into the 80's.
My favorite is "Blue Morning, Blue Day" off this same album. Second would be "Long, Long Way From Home" off their self titled debut album. And if you really, really like all the early stuff from Foreigner, you would probably just as much like Lou Gramm's band before that called Black Sheep.
One of those classic rock songs that I heard regularly as a teen in the 70's, but it didn’t register with me until many years later as I listened to it while jogging. Now it's a favorite from Foreigner.
Woah, this was the song that caught my interest in Foreigner. The result: 3 vinyl albums and a best of cd in my record cabinet. Always worth to listen to. 🎸📀
another one I've suggested...glad you got to it. Their last big 70s one that you hadn't done yet...went to #2. I believe the only top ten hits of theirs left to do is "Say You Will" and the epic "Waiting For A Girl Like You", the latter of which I'm VERY surprised you haven't gotten around to yet.
Foreigner was one of the most awesome bands growing up in the 70's. So many hits in thier catalog. Glad they are finally going into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year. We'll deserved. It's been a while since you've reacted to the Eagles. One song I'd love to hear reacted to is Love will keep us alive. Amber will especially love this song but I think you both will appreciate it. Keep up the great work!!!
Riding around in my boyfriend's Lincoln with this song blaring from an FM station. Foreigner was huge! Lou Gramm was one of the best recognized lead vocalists at the time. We all loved their hyper-sexy Urgent, too. When ladies' night Chippendale type shows were popular Urgent was a staple for the dancers. Ha. I see you've reacted to that one long ago. Blessings ❤
Jay and Amber, Lou Gramm is the lead singer of Foreigner; Dennis Elliott is on drums. You’ve already listened to my favorites: Feels Like The First Time and Urgent, but you need to take in the following: Blue Morning, Blue Day Long Long Way From Home Dirty White Boy Head Games Break It Up That Was Yesterday Say You Will All great tunes! Happy listening! Say You Will
