We got a, no pun intended, "Let's fix Sonic Frontiers one last time" shadow patch out of nowhere. I seriously think your passion for this game is what helped make it one of the best 3D entries in the franchise Fadel.
If only they could fix the new Cyberstage stages and have some checkpoint system. I hate doing the secondary objective where you have to find the animals because the platforming can be so unreliable and janky. It doesn't help either that the pop-ins are somehow more egregious in the new Cyberstage levels than in the Open Zone.
Knuckles went from my biggest disappointment with Update 3 to being my favorite character to play as, the movement, the combat man they really done fixed my boy

I'm actually kinda surprised they went back and fixed some of the issues considering after this update I expected them to move on and start on the next project, freaken Kishimoto is wilding this man needs to be protected cause hot damn has he done wonders with this game, it may not be perfect but it still doesn't change the fact this is one of the best Sonic games we've gotten in over a decade
@Sone01TheFirst well before, there was no point because they were way too op for anyone but Sonic (and even Sonic doesn't outright obliterate their hp). Now they're fodderized by everyone
This feels like a freaking Dev test patch that they accidentally pushed to the public LMAO, the combat doing 100x more damage than before is just weird.
They also patched a soft lock on one of the towers where the pannels you need to homing attack wouldnt respawn as intended. Before if you messed up you had to reload your save
@@twistvaldez Oof, I don't play on Switch so I didn't have to deal with joycon issues (though I do know the pains of drift) I was playing Frontiers on PC and use a faulty Xbox controller that occasionally disconnects when I use the shoulder buttons, which meant I had to frequently hop between keyboard controls and my controller while playing
Okay the parry being fixed in Master King's trial is by far the best fix out of all of them. The timing ESPECIALLY on the Wyvern was abysmal, inconsistent, and just rage inducing and I refuse to argue with anyone about it.
@@HouseHawk62 what just turn the difficulty down and turn it after knight on again lol 😆 you can literally change difficulty mid fight you can change to easy in the end fight to skip to the cutscene they made it so you can change it every second thats not excuse for the players to be dum dums
There's just one thing I'd like for them to do with Sonic Frontiers one day which would be INSANE. When you beat the base game of Sonic Frontiers they should make it where you unlock Super Sonic as a reward. Whenever you beat Final Horizons, you're able to play as Tails, Amy, and Knuckles on All of the islands instead of just one. If you 100% Final Horizon You'll also unlock Super Sonic 2. (Only if you've beaten the Base game and Final Horizon) And if you 100% the ENTIRE game You'll Unlock Cyber Sonic. To activate the Super Forms, you'll need Super Sonic: 50 Rings Super Sonic 2: 500 Rings Cyber Sonic: 999 Rings IT'S PERFECT! A FITTING REWARD FOR DOING EVERYTHING IN THE GAME.

4:41 Oh yeah, heads up Fadel, pretty sure this is a NEW glitch that was recently introduced, it's not drift. In some areas of the game, Knuckles will randomly turn left. I've literally tested several PS5 controllers and a few switch controllers, all suffered from the same issue, despite some being literally only a month old. Apparently it disappears with max boost. The glitch itself seems to happen specifically in some directions at random points, with going the opposite direction NOT causing an issue. Hopefully it gets patched. EDIT: Can also confirm the glitch is on Steam deck. It's safe to assume its also on switch as well.

The perfect Parry on Hard mode used to be only 8 frames before this update, or 0.1333 seconds. And on Extreme mode it’s half that time (4 frames) In this new patch I imagine the Parry timing on Hard would maybe be 0.2 seconds (12 frames) maybe? That was the timing of the Parry on Normal mode before this patch. On Extreme mode tho idk. I haven’t played the new patch so I’m just guessing. As someone who finished the original Trial on Hard Mode after 4 hours of constant attempts, I’m a little bummed that they changed it but hey if this means more people can complete the trial, good for them
They definitely made the characters too powerful which is better than what they were before but it definitely would be better if they were weakened a little bit but besides that they cooked with everything else!
my save file has all characters with max stats,i literally cant fight any bosses anymore because they die in 2 hits,i think they over buffed the characters in this update for sure

Minor nitpick, but I was really hoping the cyloop would be different colors depending on who you play as, but that's just one small gripe This patch was so satisfying
They fixed the Parry and made it alot easier on lower difficulties like easy is 600 rings and your level is 25 instead of the original with 400 rings and level 1
Thank freaking God that they fixed Knuckle’s gliding. He went from one of my least favourite characters, to number one in an instant. Screw the Twitter people that tried to gaslight me into thinking the controls were fine. This is how it’s done I think they overdid the characters damage output though. It’s too OP making the guardian encounters trivial. I also think they should’ve moved the original perfect parry to extreme mode for any masochists that wanna try that challenge, but, it is what it is.
Bro first Dream Team and now update to fix the sluggish/horrendous controls for Tails/Amy/Knuxs, ngl W year for Sonic fans. Now if only Kishimoto adds a simple switch character instead of reaching up the 5th tower, add base form skin n other costumes for Tails/Knuxs/Amy, and let Sonic's gang be playable in other islands (And wishful thinking but also literally have Knuxs be able to climb everywhere)
Why do people seem to think that making the guardians go from excessively durable to completely trivial and boring is a good thing? Maybe its a little better but its still terrible. Like come on the characters went from very underpowered to borderline broken(And not in a good way) without even upgrading attack by very much. That being said, I'm happy with everything else I although I would've preferred that for the master king Trial they instead matched the parry times with the visuals of the attacks.
I get what you mean, it's not a perfect fix, but it's still preferable to before imo. Even trying to fight the Guardians as anyone but Sonic, even maxed out. It was just a waste of time they were soooo spongy. Not even difficult, just really annoying.
Well I mean, if you find the guardians too easy like this, you can keep the character attack at level 1, like this you can handle your difficulty as you want. I didn't tried it yet but I'm pretty sure at level 1 they are still going to be quite difficult.
no see they didn't make Tails overpowered, they just accurately replicated what would happen if you got hit by a thrown wrench LOL nah but honestly I'm glad they made these changes, even if it still kinda makes combat trivial just in the opposite manner now 💀

This may be one of the last patch updates and damn they improved the parry from damn dark souls level easy now. Also the side characters having more damage output is really nice to see!
Dont you know? Sonic fans cant handle challenge in their sonic games. They complained so much on twitter and RU-vid that kishimoto must of got scared and over reacted. @NeonStudios763 its rough man. And ive seen some individuals (not all sonic fans....yet) blame sonic team for not getting this right. Bro they gave you difficulty then you complained said it was too hard. They made it easier. Now you complain that its too easy. If were talking nuance and being mature then sure, sonic team does share a responsibility (aka partly at fault) but to ignore the literal complaining fans did online and soley blame sonic team aint right imo.
The only thing I’d like now is to be able to map any flight or glide to the right trigger. I find it incredibly uncomfortable to hold the jump button for so long. Being able to use the camera would help too. Certain tails sections where he has to fly and attack at the same time are annoyingly uncomfortable 😅
Kishimoto and Ian Flynn were the best things to ever happen in Sonic they fixed most of the bad stuff Frontiers had Its still an amazing game and if I loved Frontiers before this update makes it even better! and they fixed my boy Knuckles The man who doesn't Chuckle is a powerhouse now!
Ngl, my only issues with the og final horizons update was that knuckles didnt have many combos. I feel like besdies sonic, knuckles is the best fighter. So give him more attacks and combo enders similar to sonic. If they did that. Bosses taking a lot of hits to beat wouldve been fine. I will say its nice they going back and changing things. It shows they still care
Big changes, however I'm still waiting for them to fix the handling of the controls when you touch a Dash Pad. It is difficult to rotate the character and you end up crashing into a wall due to the inertia of speed.
If they fixed the no cross slash ability bug, added the homing attack for tails and nerfed the characters to where they’re about as strong as base game final horizon Sonic (with Knuckles being the strongest since well he’s knuckles, then Sonic since he’s the main character, then either Amy or Tails I don’t care) and a bit more polish and bug fixes then yeah I think the game is a solid 9/10 with an added* there, at least for me anyways

Well… That Parry fix would have been useful last weekend when I BEAT THE GAME. I was showing my friend what I was failing at then I actually beat it and got to knight 😂The tails, knuckles and Amy fixes are neat.
Also I was randomly thinking a few days ago in my head imagine if Daddykishi randomly did another patch for sonic frontiers and sure enough it happened
They completely overcorrected on the damage the characters can deal, but I'd rather that than what we had before. The rest of the changes are just perfect!
Out of nowhere, but happy about it. Goes to show they’re still listening even after they’re done with Frontiers. Unless they plan to do some other small updates in the future
Feels like an L patch honestly. The combat fixes are welcome but the characters do way too much damage at low level. The more forgiving parry is also a bit much as now the boss fights will be way too easy. I liked the old brutal parry, it really forced you to nail the timing of every attack, making back to back parries EXTREMELY satisfying. But I guess I’ll take it, I’m just glad SEGA is still trying to improve the quality of the game, even after the final update.
Agreed. Really liked the difficulty of the update (before patch) as a whole. The parry while very quick you could still read a pattern on the boss attacks, they werent inconsistent. Sure hard to read but they followed a timing for anyone bothering to actually win the challenge. 😮💨 Probably now sonic team will be afraid to approach difficulty in any sonic game going forward. Resulting in subsequent sonic games being way too easy. Sonic fans got challenged in their sonic games and complained it away😮💨😮💨😮💨
@FallenAngel2k02 havent tried it but if your on a console. I think turning your internet off by turning off your router. Then start the console you have. Then turn off automatic updates in your settings. Then switch on internet. Apprantly there were some cases where updates still downloaded when connected to the Internet after turning the setting on so be aware. I think you can manually cancel it downloading to circumvent this.

Wyvern was the worst. I can kill Giganto and Knight so long as I had 50 rings each, but parrying Wyvern in hard mode was what made me almost rage quit. It literally took me like 5 hours just to beat it before update 3 was patched.
i'm happy they fixed knuckles, but i'm annoyed the game just looks stupidly easy now rather than fair. i honestly prefer stuff like the dumbass 3 frame perfect parry from the original dlc's hard mode lol, they really can't seem to do anything totally right
I only played Frontiers for the first time last month so I missed the worst of it. Still think they massively overcorrected combat in Update 3 but at least I could beat the game!

actually u can, I just noticed u have to do a stomp attack on the shield and then press dodge, I swear I remember you could do with normal atacks before
