Hey mate, now you have a headset, please look into the network of VATSIM. This is a network of flight sim pilots and controllers who provide a large "multiplayer" realistic type addon for XP11 where you can experience ATC to a top notch of realism by other members. ATC trainees like myself go through months of theory and practical assessing and training to a point in which we learn a basis of real word ops, including class C, G, A, D and so on, all covered by whoever's online. Great vlog as always but I have to mention Tim Tams!!!!! I love Tim Tams!!! I can’t find them in London anymore. Tim Tam slams! Stefan - I haven't long purchased X-Plane (2 weeks ago) and have been using the supplied Cessna 172 up to now (not so fond of the larger aircraft), and have been looking for decent plug-ins. I like in South Wales (we spoke virtually recently - you went to the same Uni as my daughter) and have purchased OrbX Southern UK which is just excellent, I might get a few more scenery plug-ins for other parts of the world, and am now looking for another great addition to the excellent Cessna and Cirrus already provided. I have been subscribed to your channel for ages now, and the Cirrus SR22 is my obvious choice.

Only feedback, and it's just about your XPlane settings... it might be worth your while just turning the graphics settings down a touch to improve your frame rates (FPS)... it should be smooth when flying. I know it removes some eye candy, but the flying experience will be even more realistic

You really need a gaming desktop, flight sim's need very powerful computers to run them at good FPS and graphics. Something around the $2500 range is what you need. Also FS2020 is coming out on August 18th so if you want to be able to play it you will need a new pc. I understand it would be a bit hard because of lockdown to upgrade. I enjoy the videos keep it up :) also some pc specs that I would recommend rtx 2080ti, i9 9900k, 32 gb ram, SSD (makes loading time fast) and there are some other, im not the biggest tech nerd lol.

Thanks Jacob, that's a fairly in depth question but if you're just starting out I'd recommend visiting a few different flight schools and asking for a trial instructional flight (TIF) with a few different plane/instructor combinations. It's important to feel comfortable in the plane but equally (or more) important to feel comfortable with the instructor. Some personalities will work better for you than others. So if you can try a few before making a decision, that's what I'd suggest. Then break it into small milestones, and enjoy every flight even the bad ones. I wish you all the best with it.

Hi Stef, love your videos and your travels. I’d love to get the TorqueSim version but it’s 11.50 only and I’m stuck for sometime on 11.41. At least I have the great HMB freeware version and someone has painted VH-EYZ for it. I enjoy recreating your flights especially out of YMML where I did my PPL training with the now defunct Civil Flying School

Really Nice Stef! I would recommend to get a windows gaming desktop so you could buy FS2020, I would recommend something like an i7-9700k CPU an RTX 2080ti 8GB GPU 16GB of ram that would run it very smooth!

Stefan: Alright, 100 knots, we can now get rid of the flaps(sets flaps to zero) Swiss001: Alrighty, 300 knots, we can now easily get rid of the flaps(overspeeds the hell out of the flaps).

These models are very detailed. And they are made of a lot of polygons. I guess there is no LOD, the plane models are always fully loaded. Which isn't very optimized.

Everything is highly realistic. Up to Milkshake. But you can fly with the door open without affecting the A/C 🤣🤣🤣.
