The fans have good reason to be mad at him, he botched the explanation of key parts of how the world works and just did a surface viewing. I will agree that a lot of the fan base is cancer but, if you stay away from tumbler, wattpad, ao3, and especially the shippers. Besides that it's a pretty decent community and some of the fanfiction can is pretty good. Some are written better than the show and show parts of the world that the show hasn't covered yet. I think this would make a great mmo rpg.
Actually Rooster Teeth Isn't behind it at all. Ever since they got their overseas backing it's gotten harder for them to help blocked videos, and trust me EZ is not the worst critic they've got. I don't like his video but I generally don't like videos that do surface criticisms of shows. Criticize terrible fandom or deeper issues with shows yeah. But I honestly tend to give RWBY more of a free pass than most shows because they are working with far less of a budget than shows like SU, TTG and all that mindless drivel and they have more big name VA's and more improvement than those shows have ever gotten or will get.
cody raugh thank you! and even budget aside, rwby is probably the worst possible show to do a surface review on. anyone who likes/actually paid attention to the show knows that the out-of-combat animation is a nonissue, and theres no way that a surface review would get to the all-important deep lore, and how it actually really does tie into the plot. plus, did you notice how he completely forgot that the entire first season revolved around them overcoming their differences and becoming friends, when he criticized their relationship?
Well, not 100%. The first takedown was not their fault, that was TV TOKYO. But the second dispute I sent them they rejected. And their site says they watch video that have been disputed before deciding. So that's either a lie, or someone at RT watched my video and decided to get it taken down anyway.

Look into this. I just read about an account where RU-vid themselves filed the copyright claims on the name of the company. The channel creater contacted the company supposedly making they claim and they said they didn't make the claim and they had no way to retract it because of it..... If I can think of the video where this is talked about I'll post something else. [Edit] Ok just tracked her down in a live chat and asked her. Was Aydin Paladin. Told her I would send you to her Twitter account. Don't know if it is the same thing but something about this sounds familiar to her case and she won. yeah, i said the same thing. its being done by a bot, just like the demonetization thing, thats why the claim was filed from the japanese dubbing company instead of roosterteeth. the bot fucked up a bit.
The unfortunate reality is yt allows people to abuse copyright with little more then a promise not to abuse it then they just shrug as it's abused. RT needs to pull it's head out of its, take a step back and realize that censorship isn't going to save their image or credibility. They should just get the staff on the podcast and discuss the issue in the open to bury it all.
fyi. i found your channel through Avatar and Korra reviews (i think) sometime in november. immediately after, I found and watched the RWBY is bad video. that was within november. I found it on your channel listing, it was suggested to me in the sidebar and in tiles on the end of some other of your videos... I have noticed no problem with it except your videos about how you've got a problem with it.

RWBY is my guilty pleasure. lets put that out of the way first. To be honest it's a mediocre video. It was well structured (minus the overly long intro, pointless drama shit and calling out the fandom), but all around nitpicky, not thought provoking and neither it is funny (yes I'm talking about parts where the video gets self aware and be like: "lol I'm just rambling here xD shud edit dis out rawr"). but i guess I'm a RWBY fan so my feedback is trash.
I think him saying that he was rambling and that he should have edited some parts out was just him acknowledging where he fucked up and instead of taking the time to reedit his entire video he just said fuck it and put a disclaimer. And personally I like RWBY as well but if I hadn't binged the first 4 volumes then I probably would have dropped it. Like for instance in volume 5 the videos just keep on getting shorter and shorter on top of having an overly long credit seen and intro which I dont mind too much but if you remove them both then each chapter is fairly short. And there are only a few scenes that I actually quite enjoyed and thought fit and entire episodes where it's not even necessary to watch because it doesn't do anything for the plot or the characters whatsoever. I'll continue to watch the show and I do like it but it almost just seems like the team creating it doesn't care as much anymore or they just need a break.

Though, since vidme is about to be taken down and noone cares about dailymotion, it might be a long time before youtube will start to care..... I could view it on my Xbox One, good video. Could of done with more to look at as you explained and could of showed the awful voice acting you were describing after describing rather simply telling us it was bad.
serious neutral party here, i hate corporations on principle, but i also dont like you, because you purposefully painted the show in the worst possible light, flat out lied in parts of it (or just didnt actually pay attention while reviewing), and are a bad reviewer in general. so, i hate both of you. equally. which makes me neutral. this is at least as much youtube as roosterteeth. you know how youtube is rn. i wouldn't be surprised if this is automated to hit anything with shared images from big channels. a bot, like the demonetization one. they did say that changes were going through, and this feels about like something youtube would do. ive actually seen other cases of small review and reaction youtubers, triggered by several shows different shows from several different producers.
