im getting into game dev stuff and thats legit one of the best ways to get your game out there. like balatro was expected to be a small release but because NL and a few other creators it blew up massively. i try not to play the same game as NL or else my Type A chat energy starts showing im a Type A hiding as a Type B, like watching him throw a run away in Wildfrost from the one move out of 40 that kills you hurts my soul so i gotta keep that Type A chat energy locked down.

Rogue Tower which NL also played a bunch of is basically the same as this

@@Iron_Maniac Rogue Tower is great but the graphics are a huge eye sore it screams "this is is a students first engine project" its got pretty amazing gameplay outside of that though. i hope we hop on the the correct timeline and go towards roguelike and roguelite tower defense games. that shit would get me bricked up. give me more games like Hades, Rogue Tower, Slay the Spire, Wildfrost, Balatro, and less of Cyberpunk release, Suckfield(aka Starfield), Fallout 76 release, Dragons Dogma 2 release, Cities Skyline 2 release state. all the games are completely different genres the genre isn't important its the content within and Roguelikes offer great engaging content where as DD2 for example was a 20FPS slide show for most of the game even on state of the art hardware or in Starfields case it was procedurally generated empty fish bowls with a super hallow story and item customization/crafting.

Roguelite is a good flavor of game; every genre deserves a roguelite take on it.

Are there cozy farming sim roguelikes yet? I don't think cult of the lamb quite fits that category

Every game deserves roguelike features because they inject a sense of unpredictability and excitement into gameplay, keeping players engaged and offering fresh experiences with each playthrough. Its the easiest way to make people play games longer and as long as you're progression is good you are off to the races.
