My, pregnant, daughter and her husband almost bought a home in a not so good neighborhood, in West Palm Beach. Thankfully her in-laws contacted us, we drove up to check out, and convinced them otherwise. Thanks to this lousy administration, they're making it impossible to buy a home.
Here in New England, most of the neighborhoods people have lived in them for years. People here don't move as much in New England as else where. People here buy and stay in their homes for many years. Everyone in the neighborhood knows who is suppose to be there like your neighbors family and friends. Not to say that we don't have bad sections of town, we do. But not as many or as big as other places. When I am in my place in FL. It is fairly safe. There are some sketchy people buying $2 Malt Liquor Beers at the Circle K at 7 in the morning that you try to stay away from. The median income of my New England home zip code is twice as much as the one I live in FLA. So if you are going to buy a home anywhere in the country, look the Median income up for that zip code in Zillow and it will more than likely let you know where you stand in terms of safety.
I agree, our first house, choice of seedy neighborhood, closer to work, more affordable, or further out, nicer area, more money, we chose the safer. But years later, that area got bad, so we moved way out west, nice area, but far away from most things. Now we want to move to the villages to be near people our age.
Great video Lisa! Love Stuart Board Walk fosho! Stuart, Palm City 🌴 and even great parts in St Lucie area as well feel safer than I was used to from where I moved from with work. Wow Florida/ Jurassic Park lol is amazing thanks for the great videos 🤙🌴🐊
In a small town in Southern NJ. On 2.5 acre's. Actually considering not relocating because of everything going on. I'm isolated a little because of it.
Lisa, You Know my story !....I made that mistake about 30 years ago , Great 5 bedroom custom Home surrrounded by a rough area...and..it worked for over 20 years ! However, my area turned Fast and I mean Fast !!......I would not Advise anyone to take the Risk !..It's not worth it ,even if you have the Military or police Training.....the rules of engagement are Against you ! Thank you , Lisa for another Terrific Video !!....Please pat Truman for me...
I actually have a friend that used to live is a really bad area of Hialeah and they had to "fake" someone being home in order to keep from being robbed. Husband would leave out the front, drive to the next street over, wife sneaks out the back to meet the husband on the next street.
Love your shirt. ❤ I'm stuck where I am. My primary care has been my family's doc since the '80s. I can't afford a $400-$500k single family home, nor the taxes and insurance (much less the CDD and HOA)... I'm in a condo. Got dropped by my insurance in June, and I had to get a new fuse panel, some wiring, and new plumbing under the sinks before July. I still need to replace the AC, water heater, dishwasher, and patio roof in order to sell. 😢
Sounds like a BIG to do list but you can do it. Just focus on it.... I'll pray home prices drop some in time. ( that will require a market correction) Thank you for your comments.
Years ago,, in the town you are in,, Good old Stuart,, Roy Baker was Sheriff,, he ruled that town with a iron hand, we were able to go to bed, and not lock the doors,,,,, thats all gone now,,,, where I live now,, its kinda safe,,, but stuff happens,,, but, If i get a Home invasion,, ill just say this,, I pity the fool..
Why don't you ask your current Republican president candidate why he stopped an immigration bill to protect the border and we are about to lose our freedom with the Republican candidate
