This makes me sad because players will complain at first and then instantly give in when the new season launches and then go on to say how much they hate the game while spending even more money

The doing challenges for a free battlepass is to make sure people do the update, play the first weeks and have the battle pass so they can show with statistics that this new season and new battlepass is a success, because a lot of people have it.

I'm so annoyed, I really like the game itself, but what EA/Respawn is doing makes it difficult to want to support it.

Respawn knows its a dead end and Titanfall will rise once again like a Phoenix from the ashes

This doesn’t affect me too much cause I never spent money on this game, but it is foreshadowing that this games gonna die or go to pay to win. It’s a good game too. Makes me sad.

Instant game killer. As far as I know, this is the only Battle Royale game to do this. They’re about to less a whole bunch of money, ironically because of their greed.

Brawl stars kids did the same thing but they cut the time for seasons in half but they gave you a lot more rewards for the premium part of the battle pass that was twice the amount of the original amount

Yeah fuck this, game getting deleted 5 in game currencies is crazy. Apex Coins, Exotic Shards, Legend Tokens, Crafting Metals, and The U.S. dollar bill. Apex once again shows they do not care about the player and only care about how much money they can get out of the player

Out of all the times I've tried to come back to this game, hearing this may have just put an end to all of that

They will say, we heard you, we will leave the same BP as before and you can still buy it with Apex Coins. But they won't say that they will leave it with 120 levels instead of 110. Or some scheme like that.

They couldn't even offer non-expiring battlepasses. They had a chance to add _something_ consumer friendly, but no.

That battle pass absolutely influences me to play the game more than I would normally. Not being able to use my apex coins to buy the battle pass means I won't be playing the game as much.

So are there 2 different weapon reactive skins in each battle pass or will be same weapon with different color options.

Haven’t touched the game since there’s no cross progression, I moved to pc and don’t feel like unlocking previous characters I’ve already unlocked

This is a major shame, I first started playing back in 2021 so I’m not a veteran of sorts but, I do miss the old Apex 😞

This is why you don't buy microtransactions. Ever. It always eventually turns into something like this when they aren't "making enough money" any more because the player base has shrunk and isn't purchasing things.

Ahh, apex legends. I’m not trying to sound corny but 6-7 months ago I used to be a great pathfinder main, yet I just couldn’t find the thrive to play apex anymore, so I just kinda naturally stopped, I’m glad that other people are realizing that ea is killing their game by being money hungry

Every free to play player completes the battle pass for the reactive weapon skin, crafting metals and coins are just a bonus. This was one of the only things that kept the average going, the battle pass was considered to be the in-game progress. Now these same type of players will have to decide whether they forcefully have to pay $10 a split to earn that same skin. In other words, they will have to decide whether they want to pay the $10 to play the game and feel like they are progressing towards something. Most of Apex’s micro transactions usually provided a luxury item, but to put a paywall in front of something that was considered a progression item is indirectly hurting a portion of the player base

as a casual gamer due to working a lot, i just continue to enjoy the game for what it is. pure enjoyment. i can see how diehards are mad cuz i used to be one but ill just continue to spend the money i do for the regular BP since i don’t play often enough to get the coins to buy it over and over again. overall casuals like me are getting more.

On the plus side,at least you don't have to complete this seasons battlepass anymore

I loved apex for a long time as i found the gun play and gadgets and there game changing interactions just as good as titan fall 1 and 2 but the season they added the wall teleport lady was the last I played and quit at the start as it just felt like a mobile game to me

God forbid EA does monetization right.

At first I was upset when I heard about this...but I wanted to start getting shards for the new heirloom coming out anyways. I see it as a way to get my shards and some extra skins and items too.

Im glad i was able to play this game when it was still in its prime.. When the devs played their own game and interacted with the community

I've been coming back every season to do the BP. Not anymore.

Had every battlepass since season 1, the amount I spent on it total for 21 season is probably £50-£60. In the new system I’d be paying £80 for 8 battlepasses a year, more than I have in the past 5.

Funny how this game drove me away 2 years ago with the way you nearly couldn`t finish the BP without going online every day or paying for levels... Glad to see nothing has changed and I don`t have the need to come back!!!! TITANFALL 3 is dead before it`s even in the making!

The battle pass change isn’t that bad except for the fact that THEY MADE IT ONLY MONEY ea is interesting

On the Apex Reddit they have deleted all posts discussing the battle pass including mine as they are “low effort/duplication posts.” Shows that they don’t really care about their community and their thoughts so instead of replying, they are simply hiding how the community actually feels.

I’m fine with this, the only thing that was keeping me playing apex was battlepass fomo.

- More crafting materials!... but they don't implement any new permanent content, just FOMO, so what's the point. - More Apex packs!... so you can get 8 more white-tier things and 1 purple for a character you'll never play. - 10 exotic shards!... for the heirloom and skins you don't have and never will. - 3 legend themed packs!... for a character you don't play. You get the point. A battlepass should be an incentive to play, not a demand to pay.

I just heard the new voice lines for lifeline, when they do her rework I feel like they are going to change her name to flatline since it seems she's going down a dark path in the lore. I haven't played in months so I really don't know I just had a quick theory I had from his vid from 2 weeks ago.
